If God be for us, who can be against us? Seven years ago, on this day, the Knights Templar was formed. I set out to create an elite fighting alliance that would completely change politics. While my vision wasn't brought into reality under my tenure, those who came after me were successful. The Knights Templar, in spite of its smaller size, is undisputably one of the best fighting alliances this game has ever seen. Additionally, we've persisted from a time of bipolarity unto a time of multipolarity. Mission Accomplished Proverbs 27:17: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. This quality is due in part to the excellent people we've had come through our doors. People who were smart, competent, and hard working. People who dedicated themselves to a community and a cause. These people sacrificed so much time and energy to online strangers, to make them the best players in an excel spreadsheet text game. The sacrifice continues to this day. The Knights Templar is quickly returning to where it was in its peak in the 2018-2019 time frame. Our government is some of the best we've managed to put together thus far. Our recruitment throughout 2023 was great. The future is bright, and we thank our government members- past and present. Matthew 10:34: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. It is only fitting that, on this precious day, a global war ends 12 turns after it started. The Knights Templar was unexpectantly hit, with numbers and forces greater than us. We quickly rallied and fought effectively with our coalition allies to blunt the hits. Our enemies effectively surrendered the next day. To pull off such a counterattack requires skill and dedication, from both the government and members. To have been able to do so after 6 months of farming is also notable. We never lost our edge. This speaks to our continued dedication to competency, and our ability to maintain that level of skill. ~~~ The road to Jerusalem is dusty and cloudy. A host of bandits and heathens stand in our path. We shall press into them and rend them asunder like all others we have these past seven years. Heaven awaits us! Not worth whatever grants, no taxes & raiding is better. Also the tax farm nations need to worry more about their infra and such.
