[Announcement] Diamond in the Rough
Anarchist Empire replied to DiamondBlocker10's topic in Alliance Affairs
So does Rose still do elections if eternal empire now, or do you just mean Rose will last forever? Does emperor of Rose have absolute power on deciding things, or do you need agreement with others in Rose on stuff? (Don't know you, but good luck I suppose with this position during Rose's hard times.) -
Last global I fought in was Eclipse vs TKR. Even though I did the most wars declared and won all of them, shortly before they decided to peace it out with TKR; they booted me since I didn't want to pointlessly sit on nuke turrets which were just coming right off beige anyways. So pointless. That was the end of me wasting energy fighting for any of the bigger alliances. (Person they wanted me to sit on pointlessly did come straight off beige to keep nuke turretting as I said they would. After first 2 rounds, the other side gave up trying to beige me. So it got boring anyways, so good it got wrapped up. (Almost forgot about how TKR and Eclipse were feuding back then until the comment right before this one. Remembered why I decided to go things solo mostly for a while, however eventually did let people join me.) I don't hold a grudge over it. I've moved on. (Feel it was probably meant to be I do things my own way, rather than just join existing big alliances. Bigger alliances tend to underestimate the different an individual can make, so tend not to be grateful if you do help. So kind of pointless for micro to care to get involved on a side in these. I never had a grudge against TKR, was just keeping all my offensive slots constantly busy; since of course going to win if I'm going to be in a global and I was in eclipse at the time. So whatever.) Spent some time on unaligned after that raiding, not joining any alliance or even making an AA, decided just to refine my fighting ability further where not reliant on anyone. Although eventually did join up with some micro who was saying I'd still be free to raid anyone I want.) Some people wonder why I don't join bigger alliances, even though wars would be really easy with more nations to coordinate with, guess that was when I decided against joining the bigger ones & being reliant on them at all for anything. Would be really hard for any of the major alliances or alliances in general to convince me to join at this point. Towards the end of my last nation, I was co-leader of top 3 alliance statwise at the time, since they really wanted me to join and were offering that position. So have been really high gov, top 2 of top 3 alliances in this game before. So have played various styles. So been there done that. Also in other nation sims I've risen to leader in alliances & major blocs. Can be fun challenging myself with different game play styles.

Kind interesting how this global has been playing out. Where some fronts will be open, with many alliances not involved. Then as some fronts close, others open. So it's still ongoing for many.

This seeming animosity between Singularity and TKR is kind of interesting. Not really sure the origins of it. (I don't really have a particular dislike of either of them.)
-
While this is true, we only know the Singularity one is being cancelled since Singularity announced it. Whether it was cancelled because Singularity wanted to do it or Eclipse did; but Singularity wanted to get ahead of it with the announcement isn't known. So we'll see how it goes with some of their other treaties. (Better for Singularity to make it out like their decision and freedom, if they were getting dropped. Even if possible they wanted to cancel it. Long term trying to keep the top spot by having a ton of treaties is likely to backfire anyways.)

"Further research options and research tree's" This sounds good and my vote. I can see this option is currently winning "Economic update with more engaging day to day economic mechanics"; also might not be a bad focus. Some of the other options might be more likely to break things rather than improve. These 2 options could be hit or miss. Where might make things worse or could be beneficial, depends how it's done. Global political mechanics, to drive game politics. (This one has the high risk of breaking things) Military improvements, including changes to strategies/attacks or perhaps new units. (This one also has risk of breaking things, but also has potential to improve things if done right). If you do this route, adding more units and more features would be better than just changing the mechanics, where some people will hate it and some will like it if it benefits their gameplay style. I think more research option trees sound interesting. I'm guessing by this you mean, how you can choose to buy space program, which then lets you buy other projects, etc. So more projects. Since people are limited in how many they can fit, adding more is unlikely to be game breaking. Adding more can be good, more variety in gameplay. I do think removing those projects which only decrease cost of cities, but other than that just waste a project slot was good improvement. So definitely shouldn't go back to projects like that, but more useful ones.

Then why are you responding to me rather than just focusing on the thread. Rather than just say what you think, then move on. lol (I never said it was about me, only you even brought that up. I can see their point of view, where they consider it liberating rather than a bad thing. Even if paperless can have it's appeal, also is a limitation to put on yourself. So I both do treaties and paperless agreements. If I feel a treaty restricts my freedom beyond not attacking my allies, then I generally don't want it. Don't want a protectorate given by a bigger alliance.)
-
Interesting move by TKR. was kind of wondering what political maneuvering they'd do to get in a stronger political position. Congrats and good luck with the treaty. (Will be interesting how many of Eclipses treaties are kept. Since stats aren't everything, TKR is among the top alliances regardless of their stat ranking in ability. To many of the top alliances being treatied creates a hegemony type thing, so will be interesting what happens there. Since it's already known the SIngularity treaty will be cancelled, not as hegemonic as it might look with the current treaties.)

Good luck with the new direction. Paperless makes sense in many ways, but are some alliances which want treaty with me and I like them. So keep them.

2024 P&W Academy Awards Post
Anarchist Empire replied to Lysander the Great's topic in Yearly Awards
Edit: I proobably should leave positive critism. I didn't bother with the nominaition process, so whatever there. Voting directly in game is a good thing, but where it's lacking you need to click back twice to get back to the list of votes; rather than it just smoothly taking you to the next vote. Also doesn't show what you already voted for, combined with that. As where it could use improvement. (Really $10m is pocket change, but did notice you added that incentive for voting on all of them. Lacks any way of seeing that you've done it. Other than opening a ton of tabs) Effect of the monetary incentive for voting on all, is rather than just vote on the ones where I have a strong opinion. Even if it's not much, think I put a vote for all of them. (As far as how I voted, if you really were the best in a category, maybe i voted for you. Did it based on what I think when I saw options which there was any who matched. Except ones where they wanted me to check a link to evaluate, my votes might have been more random there. Since didn't feel worth looking at the links.) Stuff like best nation page, just go by memory on which ones have nations pages which I don't like and then other. lol, Satanic Symbolism I won't vote for. (Lowers frequency entities bent on control, fear & other bad things humans need to move beyond. Not why some people obesss with satanic imagery beyond statists, who are well aware satanistic and authoritarianism go hand in hand. Really Satan is nothing scary, an inferior being. -
Rest in Peace. Sad to hear about the loss, but sure he'd want people to remember him positive rather than just be sad. If I think about my death, worst part wouldn't be me leaving this world, but people who care about me being sad whom I wouldn't want them to be. 💖 I view death as just a transition to another state, so hopefully they're in a better state now. (I won't pretend to know all the possible states people can end up after death, but hope for the best.)

You're wrong, THT made them an extension. Putting THT de facto at war with me. To bad if that messes up your war plans, but my focus is THT & extensions. Nashdar thinks it makes him a good fighter, attacking me whenever I'm max fighting others, military depleted and he's max military, then hiding behind whatever alliances want to protect him from me hitting him back. Really it doesn't matter, I'll get to him eventually. Darkstar? Was still finishing up the 9 beige streak on them in response to his declare when he hopped over to THT, then started replacing wars as they ended with Darkstar with THT; who wanted to swap places with Darkstar. Oily says I can't fight, but he's just project his own inadequecy. I can fight non stop without pause. Already know I'm going to beat 2 of these Pravada counters. Rarely does anyone give me any reason to fight on a side in these globals, but if I do fight; whatever side I'm fighting on; pretty sure will win. My focus is THT and not your entire side, unless you guys make it so. Attacking just to attack opportunistically isn't my style. Also not really to just jump into random wars for no reason, when no ties to involve me. THT brought this upon themselves. Guess main appeal having a treaty with one of the bigger alliances, is I'd have more reason to be involved in these global wars. I don't sign unequal treaties & don't beg for them, so whatever on that. THT obsession with attacking Nightshade Coalition, which is protected by our ally might be another reason to fight. That's separate from my primary reason & even without that reason to fight. (There are alliances I have positive opinions on with both sides, as well as both sides having alliances which every opportunity they have just try being rude towards me. TKR overall I have a positive opinion. Alliances like LEGO, don't know anything about them other than their members don't like me. Rose and Antartica, more neutral opinion. Know Rage hates me and takes any chance he can to try turning people on me against my back. So regrading the sides, not attached to one side over the other. THT isn't even doing much for their side anyways.) I didn't hesitate to attack Darkstar & was still fighting 3 of them when Nashdar alliance hopped. So response would have been the same regardless of whether THT was in a global or not. Darkstar wasn't. Nightshade Coalition

Pretty sure you have. Also you started Agora/CoR War since you insisted on attacking our alliance. Move on and stop obsessing with me if that is possible for you. (Not going to keep responding, since obvious you're never going to stop. Easy solution so I don't see your pings anymore, ignore feature.)
