Not only are there more on the left, they're far more accepted, in game and on the forums. What do you honestly think would've happened if you'd started, for example, a thread called "Gauging interest - Fourth Reich Alliance"? To show this, let's check the embargoes page and list the first 10 embargo reasons we see that are obviously motivated by left/right ideology (ignoring repeats by/against the same people): "Jingoism and slavery is no good" "nazi's are scum" "Solidarity with Palestine" "anarchist" "Fascist" "we dont accept racist people" "He is a evil nazi" "Confed flag is gross" "Racism is not tolerated you piece of dirt" "Capitalist pig" Generally speaking, this place leans left, just like virtually every other internet site filled with young people. This place couldn't tolerate Trump advertisements, you think Nazis are tolerated? If you're so far left that we're all far-right from your point of view, you're too far left. Personally, I hate the communists in this game as much as I hate the people who want to play Nazis or ISIS. But at the same time I love to hate them, because political rivalries make the game so much more interesting, so good luck making your alliance. except the nazis systematically exterminated persons consisting of a large portion of the userbase whereas stalin and the rest of the commies you hate so much did what dictators have done throughout history - kill people who opposed them on political grounds. united states does it too, to a much lesser extent - communists were, for example, barred from getting many jobs throughout the mccarthy era, and the war on drugs was literally started because "the white women are gonna !@#$ the black men". the united states tends to kill non-citizens a lot more than its own citizens. you can draw false equivalencies all you want, and it isn't my intention to say that keeping me from getting a nice job is the same thing as shipping me off to siberia, but at the end of the day, i supported keeping the trump ads and i've wrote more scathing criticisms of idiots on the far left than any of you are even capable of. your post is just another generic appeal to moderation, but i guess that's better than shitposting and bad attempts at trolling. even so, you're literally counting "don't be racist" and "don't have slaves" as leftist. if the center has moved to accepting racism, that ought to tell you something. actually, now that i think about it, not including an alliance literally named after the confederate states of america as being "far right" outs you as a shill in sheep's clothing. no pun wrt sheepy intended. Fraggle Posted April 15, 2016 Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) when you get hit first in this game and you have no military to speak of in the first place, that's pretty much all you can do like you can turn it into a trash-talking point all you want but the fact that i didn't have the time to sit and watch every aa in the game for military build-up on top of basically running an alliance 80% by myself doesn't mean a whole lot except that i'm right about what i identified our problems to be in the OP. apart from fox fire making us an alternate set of forums and providing images that sindorin ended up spending a few credits to get put into the game (and then he tried to get sheepy to take them back when him doing that didn't mean i handed over control of the AA to him), everything we did was basically entirely me by the end. VL helped some, too, that i remember. joe wasn't entirely inactive. aladeen was around. fraggle posted weird shit a few times before leaving... that was the extent of us doing work. if you don't believe me, ask pub - the whole reason we ended up going to EoS with the shit that i told him not to trust me with in the first place is because he didn't bother letting me know that i actually gave him a member mask which let him see 95% of our forums for like a week. we didn't actively recruit whatsoever, either. all of our members came from people seeking us out and choosing to join us. everything we did happened in the first six months of the game, a ton of our guides were just outright stolen from other alliances, and we suffered from the common malady of all commie alliances - none of us really gave a shit about the game enough to actually play it. that's a lot of the reason for this thread, actually - to see if people who actually want to sit and do work for hours and hours on this game in a commie alliance, or if the desire to see us reform is mainly along the lines of mine.... "it would be nice but i'm not actually gonna bother because i'd rather just be a commie irl and not worry about working in a game" point being, despite ALL OF THAT bullshit, we were still and remain cooler than TEst and sycophants like kurdanak, even after merging into arrgh! Yes, SI was the first alliance I was in. From what I can remember, because I was only in the alliance for maybe a few weeks, was that the alliance was run professionally. The forums, advice and general niceness of the people was appealing. Hereno was attentive to his alliance and had good intentions going forward. I don't remember him actively recruiting anyone, and he did not have anything bad to say when I left. In fact he was happy to see Fraggle Rock be the first nation to develop nuclear weapons. We didn't understand each other, nor did Fraggle Rock really want to be in the alliance that people were going to target. Hereno was good people back then. Still might be, shit I haven't spoken to him in nearly 20 months. Honestly, I thought he left. If the right conditions were there, I would rejoin his alliance.
