Apology from the Socialist Workers' Front

Oi, I don't know who decided to take away his power, but if it's who I think it is, it's somewhat disturbing to me that a member of equal power was able to demote him and take the position for himself, all without the permission of any higher-ups.

And to be honest, I don't know if I'm the most comfortable with Klemens being foreign minister. . .You should see some of the "decrees" he made in the past as minister of the interior. Rather than taking away someone else's position without any warning, why didn't Klemens talk to Vassili about it to see if it was worth having elections over? But as of now, Klemens holds two positions. All this happened without an election, without notification and without Vassili's approval.

As such, I will be taking actions to make sure that Vassili does his job and reprimands Klemens for this.

His quick actions saved your alliance a lot of trouble.

This is the problem with democracies in games like this. Members think they have "rights" and those "rights" just get in the way of the Government actually doing their job. Certain things require immediate attention and if you guys would've waited for Vassili's approval or for !@#$ sake an election to replace him, things would probably be much worse.

The actions he took are easily reversible and removing Governor immediately was the correct call. Now, if you guys want you can consider him the Interim MoFA while you guys hold your elections to find a new one that's fine.

But hey, I'm not here to control the internal workings of SWF. I'm simply stating my opinion and I think Klemens acted perfectly.

Representative democracy allows the ministers to act for the organization without always asking its members first. If not what you have is just an anarchist organization with a few members having fancy titles.

So long as it's made clear that he speaks only for himself. I don't really want governor or klemens in the position of foreign affairs, as governor has too short a temper and klemens is too..."my way or the highway"....and I'm aware that it saved us a lot of trouble. But I don't like how he phrases it in such a way that it seems as if everyone was on board and everyone agreed with his actions. He speaks for himself and only himself at the moment. I honestly think that if we hadn't joined this war, it wouldn't matter who's in the foreign affairs position. I've never been in favor of us going to war. Every time we do join a war the end result brings the same feelings as when you spend 3 hours building a castle of legos and then the school bully knocks it down. I'm just trying to grow >_>

Last I checked, in a representative democracy, representatives don't steal the positions of other representatives. Can you imagine the outrage if the senator of say...Illinois suddenly decided to take the state's other senate seat?

There is still a democratic process involved in making policy, which klemens wasn't even doing. It had nothing to do with policy-making.

It sounds like you have a bit of "my way of the highway" yourself. A lot of this is discussion that you should be having in your alliance.

There are plenty of alliances that you can join to focus on growth, but the name of the game is "Politics & War". You'll get things just like you want them.

Oh okay, so if it was only him speaking for himself and not on behalf of your alliance, I accept HIS apology and cannot wait to hear what actions SWF takes for the disgusting actions its Government member took.

His actions saved SWF's reputation, and now that I know that it was just him speaking on behalf of himself then I still see SWF the same way I saw them before Klemens took action (And that's not a good thing).

Well to be honest, Klemens probably still be the minister. Because vassili has already seen it and has done nothing. I told him to do something about it, (like having elections), but he hasn't seen my message yet.

Look. I'm not saying we support the governor. Many of us, if we saw the kinds of things the governor has said, wouldn't support him. All I'm saying is that I'd rather have an election. >___> Having seen the way klemens has handled things as interior minister, it's hard to know if he won't start demoting other members without approval too.

Yeah, I'm trying to start a discussion within the alliance.

A more apt description in this case would a high level cabinet member relieving another. Which given the situation was the right thing to do. Also da he's going to play it like the alliance is in agreement in public, it looks better for the alliance.

There's no honor in that. Even if I didn't tell you, you'd still have to confront the truth sooner or later. If SWF members are still raiding people, it won't matter if Klemens made it seem like we've reformed if we haven't. I'd rather be honest and burst your bubble rather than have it bite you in the ass. If our alliance wants to have a better reputation, then "pretending that we're good" is nothing close to righteous. If klemens wouldn't try to control and force us to govern according to his standards, (i.e. you must have an X amount of soldiers or you're going to be demoted to applicant) and instead made harsh punishments for raiders (i.e you're going to be demoted to applicant if you decide to raid someone), then I wouldn't have a problem with him trying to save our face. But honesty is what is needed. You were going to put your faith in an alliance that hadn't actually apologized, but rather, only one member apologizing. That would be a bad idea.

The U.S has constitutions and laws that regulate what happens if a Senator or minister can't for some reason fulfil their obligations, who gets to remove them from office and etc. I'd assume SWF doesn't, considering you're not a +250 nation that's been around for a few centuries.

However in a state of emergency it's not unusual for someone in a leadership role to handle a situation without consulting the rest of the organization. If you have problems with that you should maybe just contact people involved directly, instead of airing your dirty laundry in public.

And, its more honorable for him to let it this blow up even further by waiting to act? Protip, a leaders first duty is to their group, everything else is secondary.

Then blame hawicki for trying to play the situation like it wasn't. He's the one who posted on the forums. I'm here to clarify things because a situation has been created by none other than klemens where I had to be honest.

Look, we're not nearly as bad as you think. Much like how klemens only spoke for himself. The governor definitely only spoke for himself. But no one had actually agreed to anything yet.

Instead of klemens trying to post this online. He should have taken your advice and confronted the governor directly, THEN take action on the forums.

Let me ask you this: is it honorable to tell everyone to let their guard down about a situation where they've been misinformed? How will that play out for YOU? You're the one with the potential to be raided remember?

You really should've said that he did exactly what you wanted him to do, then punish him for not actually doing what you wanted him to do. Now you're just making a scene.

^ i'm saying this because I care about more than just our group. If we actually did something to stop the raiding as opposed to apologizing for it without anyone else even noticing that an apology was sent out, then not only will the raiding continue, but how will it look in the future if we apologize again? Our messages would lose credibility.

Fine, would you rather have let your guard down? What i'm trying to say is that this apology isn't worth shit and that you shouldn't let your guard down. Nothing is actually being done to stop the raiding.

In fact, I can use this thread as leverage to get him to finally do SOMETHING about it!
