Apology from the Socialist Workers' Front

As the Foreign Minister of the Socialist Workers' Front, I want to apologise for the recent crass and unbecoming comments made by Socialist Workers' Front member Governor of Woodbury. Out of character insults and other rude behaviours in a potentially public setting have no place in the Alliance and are a foolish means of ruining our foreign relations. 

 

I will conclude by advising that these kinds of misdeeds should be compared to the positive behaviour of other members of the Socialist Workers' Front.

For all it is worth, Governor has been demoted to 'member' status. He holds no position in our government and I am his replacement as Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

 

I liked Governor when he was simply a more rambunctious member of the alliance, but knew when to stop. Unfortunately, people change and not always for the better.

Apologizing for a MoFA is pretty extreme. You get rid of the bad publicity, sure, but the fact that you had to do it reflects poorly on you as it is. I would've just pulled him internally a while ago and apologized for individual behaviors if they were genuinely things to be apologized for, to help normalize relations behind closed doors. The more that accrued, the worse you look... but a good MoFA will be able to overcome that, given enough time and necessity.

I don't blame SWF for their member's actions as not one member represents an entire alliance. I do not know how he got into a position of power, but things happen.

 

I do appreciate SWF acting quickly and for their private and public apology. I hope we can move forward from this situation and continue to have fun in this war. SWF is a fairly formidable alliance that I did kind of underestimate with our 20 minute organized blitz.
