We always said Trojans Break when the Irish Come. See y'all later. Guess my water boy @Allend of the union and I need to go hang out in a corner alone. Until next Fall in South Bend, when we rise up and smash Clay Helton once again.

As one of the original recipients of these logs and someone very close to the situation, I chose to let my actions speak louder than my words, with TKR's immediate removal of our protection of Micropock first in line. TKR gave MP a chance when nobody else would take them in as a protectorate and they worked well with us during our time together, but TKR does not stand for this type of rhetoric and actions were taken immediately to distance ourselves.
That said, Kim/Seb, Sverige, and Yami have all faced significant consequences in both losing their AA home and being marked as toxic and unwelcome elsewhere going forward - we would all mourn the loss of our AAs, as they are our community and what makes this game fun and interesting. (Even if some AAs are not as...couth...as others) We see KT's acceptance of them as furthering their identity as a group that condones OOC hate and action that does not have a place in Orbis.
It was very much appreciated for @Akuryo to share the information she had with TKR, and I believe we acted in the way she intended. However, it is entirely unrealistic for her not to expect any consequences of her own for what was said in these logs. This is far more than infiltration and sharing of findings; there was significant willful and active participation here, even with a posted claim to an almost immediate change of heart. She made abundantly clear to me in DMs that this was a planned attempt to assassinate the characters of Seb/Kim, Sverige, and Yami, using the OWF as a medium, and shared with me to allow TKR to distance ourselves prior to posting. The leak of the logs somewhat prevented her from going on the offensive, and shifted the spotlight onto her actions or lack thereof. Thanks to @Leftbehind for stepping forward to clarify what has happened behind the scenes there as well.
TKR has no role or goal in IC intentions of weaponizing these logs beyond the acknowledgement that politically, the removal of MP from TKR's sphere hurts us as fighters especially in any potential upcoming conflict. Whether or not this was conscious or intentional, this release hurt TKR's small sphere more than any others. The belittling and condemning of @Akuryo for her role in the logs is warranted, in my belief, and does blur the IC/OOC line, but is largely self-inflicted. Her immediate prior actions to condemn others for even remote association with these types of actions and verbiage reflect projection and a lack of basic awareness of consequences for actions of her own.
----
Finally, in a strictly OOC note, the game is a better place with characters like @Kevanovia, @Prefonteen, and @Keegoz in it. These forums are more engaging, conversations are more fun, and they help to add the spice and entertainment to an otherwise pretty bland game play. I also know that can be tiring and frustrating to be in those types of roles, as you oscillate between center of attention and villain for actions taken to have fun. Regardless of views of in-game actions (yes, poaching is bad, period, because it removes people from the AA and community...see commentary above in IC section), the banter and lack of predictability are what make this space interesting, especially without the monolithic void that was present for a few years. 😉
Thanks to all that come here with a willingness and intention to enjoy themselves and allow others to have fun as well. My DMs are always open to hang out and have a beer together.

ITT: @Phoenyx continues to bloviate and we argue about the point of FA.
I support @Cooper_ 's commentary up-thread - this is all a game that revolves around war, much like every other nation sim in existence. Phoenyx continually talking about endlessly investigating is absolute garbage, we aren't here to sit around for months on end watching paint dry. There was verifiable intel, we acted on the intel, there were unspoken treaties activated, and the dogpile resulted in us getting our butts kicked. We acknowledged that and tried to make the best of the situation by fighting on and making FA plans for the future.
FA has lots of goals, and and the end of the day, it is all about making OOC friendships while juggling IC agreements and disagreements. It is continually making and breaking treaties, spheres, and allies of all kinds. End of the day, dynamic gameplay is the key to having fun. You bet, as the leader of TKR, that I'd love to have TKR on the winning side of a global sometime in the near future. It's been far too long. Our members are tired of turreting. But the response to that is not withdrawing from global FA, nor is it doing everything in our power to avoid war. I disagree that the goal is to avoid conflict all together - it is about putting the AA in the best position now and in the future for success.

Alternatively, spy sat could also improve your spy defense abilities marginally as well as a way to incentivize purchase.
Overall, @Adrienne is right - best route would be to reduce spy kills all around.

There are small wars, perhaps some pirates attacking, perhaps 2 Alliances going at it, and then there are big, global wars. The small ones, perhaps not worth too much attention, but a global, that involves a -lot- of Alliances and I definitely think there are some lessons we can still learn from it. Ofcourse, it takes 2 to tango. If no one else is investigating certain loose ends from the war, then that'll be the end of it.
There have been an average of more than 2 global wars per calendar year that this game has existed. This is nothing new and how the game works.

Partisan strode into the command tent, blood dripping off his armor and splatting on the ground. Benfro, Daveth, Hughes, James, and Squeegee and the other negotiators filed in behind him. They too, had blood all over them. None of the other Quack leaders already in the tent were fazed. At this point there were few who had no blood on their armor. Partisan took a seat at the command’s circular table. A battle map was laid out and Quack had little ground left. Roses, Hedges, and assorted Swamp creatures surrounded the remaining Quack strongholds. A defeat was all but confirmed. Three pints of ale were placed before Partisan. He drank heavily from the first one before beginning to speak.
“My lords and ladies, I think we can all agree that this military endeavor has not necessarily worked out in Quack’s favor. We have just returned from negotiations with the Nameless Paperless Coalition and have the terms for our peace.” He began patting his armor, then his belt before he remembered. “Ah yes, Bennyboi has our papers.” He drank from his pint again, allowing the ale to spill from the sides and down his armor. “Go ahead, Benny. Read them our terms.”
Benfro read aloud the terms of Quack’s surrender and peace. Partisan drank his second pint of ale as a vote was cast with unanimous passage. “Well,” Daveth said, “all that remains is to present our terms to our army and make our surrender official before our enemies.”
At that moment, horns blew and the Quack army began to shout. The NPC delegation had arrived. The Quack leaders got up from the table and walked outside with Partisan carefully clutching his last pint of ale. Walking up the hill was Halfman, a drunken soldier, the Potato King, a prickly old man pushed in a wheelchair by the head gardener, a puppet, and two foxes. Benfro signaled for a table to be set up and served while the leadership sat down and their armies watched on.
“Well, Snek,” croaked the prickly old man, “I’ve gotten the best of you again, until my memory fails and I have to come get you off my color bloc lawn again.” His laughter quickly devolved into coughing before LeftBehind rushed forward and fed him some medicine. “Nappy nap time.” the old man mumbled before drifting off to sleep. Partisan sighed and then stood up shakily. “Now that we’re all, uhhhh, where we are. I think we can commence with the sssssigning and public reading of the terms and surrender.” Partisan said and then plopped down in his chair.
The peace document soon was passed around the table and signed by each representative. Partisan dipped his snake tail in the ale and signed with his beloved booze. The old man was still asleep, so his aide signed for him. When the last signature was complete, Adam of the $yndicate stood up and read the document aloud for all to hear.
Official Peace Terms:
Effective at Day Change of 14/12/2020-15/12/2020 (Greenwich Mean Time)
1. Quack posts admission of defeat.
2. Blanket NAP of 120 days (Ending on the 13th April 2021) including all current protectorates on both sides.
3. All wartime changes in regards to color blocs must be reversed to pre-war status. This applies to both coalitions and protectorates for the duration of the NAP.
4. No new war declarations after peace is in effect; any ongoing wars may end naturally via peace, expiry, or beige.
5. Yui is to be provided a baby giraffe picture from TKR.
When Adam finished reading aloud, armies from all factions shouted for joy and the leaders congratulated each other on a well fought war. Quack and NPC leadership walked down the hill together to celebrate and feast. Peace had arrived and the world was no longer burning. The old man remained at the table, still sleeping from his medicine, mumbling about punching the snek again. Partisan also remained nearby, too drunk to walk, too tired to celebrate. He cradled his third half-empty pint in his arms and drifted off to sleep.
TL;DR: Quack surrenders to the Nameless Paperless Coalition. Both parties agree to peace with a 4 month NAP.

Number of nations and score (assuming everyone is militarized), there is no subjective way to evaluate it, if you don't think you have the quality then it's your fault
"We are less active and we are less competent so we're allowed to be more" is something I've heard from a certain block in the past
Additionally, Quack opted to include HedgeMoney in the happenings, creating an already imbalanced front against us. So can't just lean on "well Swamp was less active and less experienced." RoseLot joined because of a silent paperless MDP that had no need other than feeling left out.
And yes I skipped some posts. I'm trying to keep this relatively on topic instead of dealing with Fist's personal attacks against Parti.

Wonder if there is a way to give players an option - more potential infra damage with a higher likelihood of being blocked vs. lower damage but more reliable.
im thinking instead of nerfing ID completely, make it only 25% or 33% effective against a missile with max 200 infra damage?

Now I grant you, Sphinx' log really does make it seem like Swamp, TCW and HM were going to hit you guys first, but the more I've read, the more I think that at best, Sphinx misunderstood what these Coalitions were actually trying to do (a protective pact, not an offensive one) and at worst was being purposefully deceitful. Still hoping that RSD's fellow HM leader could clarify what he heard from Swamp and perhaps even who he heard it from. To date, however, we don't have -anyone- from Swamp saying they were actually contemplating an offensive pact.
Gotta jump in here to say - are you, @Phoenyx, intending to have alternating posts until this thread dies? You seem to come in and restate the same questions regardless of what is said.
But you are right. Wouldn't it be nice if someone from HM's leadership or Swamp's leadership could come and publicly state their views to clarify how all of this happened? And, again, as it feels like half of my allied leadership has stated recently, a defensive and offensive pact are amorphous and almost identical in execution. Even more valuable here is the silent agreements. We have fought many a lengthy war over secret ties and they never end well.

Wait did you seriously accuse any of us of ad hom attacks after you have continually evaded the swear filters and referenced us competing in the Special Olympics multiple times? Go pound sand somewhere, dude.
Or message @Alex about turning off your VM timer so at least you can participate in the game instead of running away from us all.- 3
