  4. Weak. Pulling out early in the war against Goon Squad, pulling out early in yet another war against micros and getting kicked for being not good enough for Holy Sea (how?), and now pulling out against Clock, it's almost like you live for the clock block at this point lmao. Learn how to get better at war, or start seriously thinking about your future as a serious ally in Orbis.

  5. A user on the PnW Discord suggested "static defences". It got me thinking ... New improvement type: Defence These are a new type of building that have limits and require energy to function (much like all other improvements). Each of these affects the fighting capability of a specific troop type (soldiers/tanks/planes/ships), if the fight occurs in the city these buildings are built in. Further, these improvements could be sabotaged through use of spies. Another change that could be added is the ability to choose which city your army attacks when making an attack action during a war (currently, if I remember correctly, it is random except for nukes). Possible types of defences could be - 1. Trenches (improve the power of your soldiers) 2. Dragon's teeth (these were used in history to stop tanks, and could decrease the power of enemy tanks) Wikipedia link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon's_teeth_(fortification) 3. Anti-air batteries (decrease power of enemy planes / increase enemy plane casualties) 4. Coastal artillery (decrease power of enemy ships / increase enemy ship casualties) I haven't yet thought up the numbers for this, I might do so later in an edit. I think of them as not massively changing the tide of war, but still providing a noticeable effect. Addendum: there could be a new sort of defence improvement: Safehouse - protects a set amount of resources from being stolen (basically, if you have your safe house, your, say, oil can't go below 500), works in any city, destructible by missiles/spies/normal attacks. What it'll add to the game: Defences would bring a new dynamic to wars (hopefully) without greatly upsetting the current meta / system. Users of these defences have to make the choice of building them at the cost of other improvements (which'll reduce their economy), especially if there is a limit on how many defences you can build per day (so that one can't simply remove other improvements and build these to max right after starting a war). Attackers would have the choice to focus down a city at the cost of doing less infrastructure value damage overall, as opposed to spreading their attacks (although the damage difference might be so minimal that this isn't a major choice, plus, if I'm not wrong, very few care about infrastructure damage anyway) to maximise infra $ damage. Missiles would gain a slight buff (?) as defences would be targetable. Addendum 2: Just a thought - defences could also tie in with Immense Triumph outcomes. Trenches work for whichever side has ground control, enemy air superiority negates your trenches etc. Problems with defences: Personally, I feel that defences are unneeded at this point in the game. They would only work if the choice to build defences was a real choice instead of not building them or building them being objectively superior. Further, I doubt they'll add all that much to the game to justify the amount of time it'll take to add them to the game.

  6. As the war raged on, Geophph, Ugo, and Deraj sat down, drinking some sparkling grape juice with Beans and Homelander, sipping on their apple juice boxes; they started talking amongst themselves and came to the topic of the war. After further discussion, they went back to Sanctuary, suggesting the wars with Clock be peaced with Sanctuary's surrender. Sanctuary agreed it would be the best course of action for the alliance. Later that evening, Deraj went to the clock tower where he shouted up to Tigerfire, "Have you the time for peace?" Later that evening, as a holiday gift, the government delivered a case of strawless grapefruit juice boxes and yams to their friends at Clock, departing back to Sanctuary. Terms of Surrender: Sanctuary formally surrender to Clock Bloc. Sanctuary agrees to cease all declarations of war against Clock Bloc and refrain from providing aid to the Rose Coalition after this has been signed. Existing wars may run their course through peace, beige or expiry on an individual basis. Sanctuary returns to their peace MMR. Signed: - Clock: Cataclysm TigerFire, Co-Leader Decagon, Co-Leader Keegoz, Head of FA Eclipse Pascal, Co-Leader Vein, Co-Leader Aurora Kan, First Explorer George Putin, Second Explorer Y-Zard, Chairman of FA ToxicPepper, Chairman of CWD Weebunism Empuir, General Secretary Baam, Secretary of MA Anri, Undersecretary of FA - Sanctuary: Beans, First Visionary Geophph, Second Visionary Homelander, Trailblazer of MA Ugo, Advisor, Head of FA Deraj, Pathfinder of FA TLDR: Sanctuary surrenders to Clock Bloc

  7. Would definitely see people having interest with Voodoo due to their well-rounded as well experienced crew, surfacing quite firmly into the top 50. Baker is a bit unknown to me, except the couple BoC guys (that practically helped kill BoC during its initial collapse during 2019) as well overboard trolls that actually more annoy than be funny. Polaris is to god damn inactive to get much out of aside meatshielding for Rose allies. CoA is a maybe due to their more down to earth experience, then again, Rose has cut treaties the way T$ did but more often even a bit worse on occasion if an ally doesn't follow through their needs/wants. Loyalty is awesome in all, like Grumpy-Guardian, Nexus, & even interestingly BLOC bloc due to all the shit they get. Or even people within alliances like Camelot, Arrgh, & Atlas Being able to stick together internally. Being able to sift throu thick & thin shit further on settle internal disputes for the sake of the alliance even sphere while being able to look at each other as a brother/sister that is willing to put themselves on the line for another, even have a memorable blast worthy time due to the people. That is true loyalty. Being a good sport is another by being able to truthfully recognize something (both good or bad) plus even do something reasonable about it when necessary. Both are necessary for success, but the latter isn't much applicable to CoA & both are definitely not to Sanctuary (Most likely a learned behavior from Black Skies as well Rose in some cases).

  8. Your first ally was a multi farm (who you guys got rebuild money from), and your second ally was NPO's greatest pet; who to this day is so inactive that they didn't even know that the first ally was a multi farm. Your wanna talk about utter mess DoWs, but you three misfits haven't done shit in the same period of time.

  10. My primary concern with your suggestion is like others have stated, having city deletion on the table will encourage more pixelhugging and war dodging. But I think you're getting somewhere when it comes to trying to nerf cities. A large portion of the game, if not the majority, views progress as having the most cities. Even among players who enjoy war, there's an incentive in the game to drag out peace time in order to have an ROI over war costs and be able to "grow". Getting more cities takes no effort whatsoever since you can simply copy and paste the city build that's generally agreed upon to be the best for your tier, and then sit around indefinitely. A far better measure of competence is war performance. But high tier nations have an obvious advantage over low tier nations when it comes to that. If we cap the number of cities you can have at, let's say 30, than once you reach that, you'll have no incentive to continue making money outside of buying enough warchest for your next war. People will then look to other ways of displaying their achievements whether it be alliance recruitment, bloc forming, trading to make money for warchest faster, and of course, war itself.

  12. Lmfao, we dont wanna scare people so much to go to war that this turns into CN 😂 But seriously, this has disastrous consequences. Cities are the main permanent investment in this game, killing them means people lose their progress quite easily, especially with how easy it is to use nukes, you're gonna make Wampus c10 soon enough.

  16. Change your govt time to dictatorship and then visit your policies page and update them to reflect what a fascist is. If you don't know what they are, you really shouldn't be wanting to go that way.

  18. Give nukes a 50% chance to destroy a city. Not just the infra but to actually delete a city. Make people think twice and have a real reason to go to war. Would make the game actually interesting. Meaningless wars after every NAP expires is a boring gameplay loop. There has to be real consequences. Maybe interesting politics will actually develop then.

  20. Probably would have quit the war we had with Arrgh if it lasted long enough (seeing as they cried about their treaty obligation to us back when we were connected). Cowardly Alliance, would not expect much better. 🥱
