  1. Greetings, friends. Some of you might not know me. Thankfully that means this thread won't impact you, you inactive husk. The rest of you are probably about done mourning my retirement. I thank you for your loyal devotion. Not every icon has the pleasure of interacting on the daily with a fanbase as dedicated as you have been. Where was I? A friend from a less politically active alliance remarked to me the other day that he would tune in to a radio show built around Partisas political hot takes. It got me thinking. About the political ambivalence of 3/4th of the orbis player base which forms the foundation for the inertia of the leadership they fail to oust for their inability or unwillingness to do anything meaningful or fun with the power they accumulate. Underneath that personified stagnation lies a complicated web of personal motivators of the human psyche; the little tids and bits that drive us to do what we do, and feel what we feel. And among those tidbits must be a tiny, rough little diamond that radiates ambition and a genuine interest for the machinations of this world. That diamond can not be pushed to the surface for one reason or another. And so it seems, friends, that it rests on me, your ero, to mine your diamond. If my inactive compatriot can ignite himself by merely focusing on my voice and thoughts; if he can drop the crutches of blind obedience and walk again, an independent minded man, by gravitating toward my humble charisma- a beacon as it were, then surely, so can others. Yet a radio show may not be the answers. For I am lazy and refuse bind myself to times or dates. Instead, I will prepare my musings for this forum- my living room. These musings will dig into political occurrences of the distant and more recent past. To the days of Impero and the fall of Saru. To Prefontaine and baby-roq. To mensan menace, to when the meta was undiscovered and cave-government fiddled with nukes and navies, and many more an occurrence. And as I open up my mind to you, you will receive insights into backrooms that you might not know existed. To conversations that were had, but were promptly buried. To strategic considerations you may never have known existed. Throughout all that, you will learn that I loathe most alliances. My opinions will hurt you. I will not care, and you will forgive me. For that is what this is for. Raw. Unbridled. Partisan. We may take it to radio if the masses demand it. Or we may not. For now, ta!

  7. I have an suggestion about the Embargo. The first suggestion is the country can set a length on how long the embargo can be. The second suggestion is that the country can automatically set an embargo for example. Nation A does an intelligent gathering on Nation B, Nation B will automatically set an 60 day embargo onNation A and a 30 day embargo on the Nation A's alliance if it was caught and identify, Nation A can also make it permanent. Additional things: 1. If Two alliance has the MDoAP, MDP, ODP, PIAT, and ODoAP, on eachother can place a limit on how long embargo can lasts and set how many of the alliance members they can permanently embargo on the other alliance, if both alliances agree on the limit. 2. The list of things that if the other nation do, the embargo can automatically start by the victim nation. Declaration of War, other kind of Espionage (if caught and identified), and bounty. 3. The embargo can also be extended manually and atomatically if the nation nuked the other nation.

  8. I'm glad I looked at this. it's also true that my seniority is off. I joined Rose on January 31st, finished the applicant phase by February 1st, but it's showing that I only have 6 days seniority.

  9. I noticed the exact same issue. I have been in The Knights Radiant since January 7th, but my nation page says I have 20 days of seniority, when it should be over a month. My nation: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=263051 You can see on my war logs that I went from an applicant to a member on January 7th.

  16. I can confirm that Greene DM'd me on Discord about this right away when it happened (in May of 2020) to alert me about this scheme. I would say that Greene has done nothing wrong here, and in fact did the right thing by bringing this to me directly when it happened.

  17. So as things currently stand, radiation (and Food production penalties) is pretty dynamic, in a war it can literally change every second. For a game that mostly revolves around turns, I think radiation needs a little love. What I'd first like to suggest is that radiation is updated only at turn change, as one of the first things before processing Nation income. The radiation page should also be updated to show not only the current radiation, but a table of the past 50-100 turns (and maybe some pretty graphs). This will give players an easy way to track trends in the radiation and plan accordingly. The second change I'd like to suggest, is that radiation affects more than just Food production. High radiation levels should affect all production and nation income (a lesser version of having a city nuked). Your citizens aren't going to necessarily want to work and some of the weaker ones may end up dying. This will add another aspect to wars, as heavy nuke use will affect the entire player base (and may cause friction with alliances that heavily use nukes in war).

  18. After dozens of aggressive wars, calling in an entire bloc to defend Ampersand from a single raid, and being Underlord-levels of annoying in a group DM (sorry Under ❤️ ) - Arrgh has finally lost the inclination to listen to Alexio whine. I look forward to seeing 800 infra nations in my defensive slots. Arrgh!

  20. To the members of ampersand, if you are wondering why you are being raided. Ask Alexio

  21. Is it only 7? So not only does Ampersand declare a very personal crusade on Arrgh, but you can't even fight it yourselves? The Federation has an entire page of offensive wars on us right now. I think even TFP got in more than 7.

  23. Alexio has been beating his chest for days, ordering allies to join in, and has been continually moving goalposts while simultaneously filling defensive slots. Notice our "agreement" (Murtaza asking people to chill) was almost a week ago. Notice how many aggressive wars have been declared in that time. This is all a ruse to attack yet another small group with the Swamp Zergswarm. Just like TEst and TCW experienced recently. Particularly annoying because I don't mind war, but I mind wasting time in a "negotiation" designed to obfuscate an aggressive war.

  25. If that's an 'agreement' then I'm the queen of England. Arrgh are pirates. Pirates do what pirates want. Deal with it 😛

  26. If Ampersand as a whole doesn't sell down to 800 infra I shall be very disappointed. Welcome to Vietnam, boys.

  27. Although Arggh members are like mosquitoes, an insect the world can do away with, we none the less have to take matter in our own hands when they become less bark and more bite. Someone had to do the cleansing so that Orbis doesn't see any Arggh creatures for some time and The Federation opted to do it.
