Spy rebuild, function, and Satellite project changes.
NightKnight replied to Prefontaine's topic in Game Discussion
See I would prefer this to having to keep track on our own. Just in our list of spies something like a list of changes into active with remaining turns would be ideal. But coding of the game comment fair! 😂 -
Spy rebuild, function, and Satellite project changes.
NightKnight replied to Prefontaine's topic in Game Discussion
Interesting changes definitely. Not sure yet how I feel about the changes yet, but it could work. If I am reading correctly, the only increase is from 3 to 4 per day into active. That still takes a while to build up. Building up to 12 per day, you still have to wait 5 days each day you build reserved spies to transfer them to active. If a sphere tries to build up, it's still delayed by 5 days even if they are active enough to build enough reserves every day. This just makes it so the spy game is not decided from the start. At minimum it is 5 days of buildup in reserves and 5 days for each change to active. My question here is if I build all reserved spies each day, does the process to move them to active restart every day for all spies or do each wave of spy builds get their own timelines to move to active? How will we be able to keep track of when each wave comes out of reserve? -
So be it! To war!!!

I agree with this, I think the biggest issue is leaving beige early. If we are talking about the purpose of beige being rebuild, I am not sure why this would be helpful if a nation rebuilds and wants to get back into the fight. I mean beige cycling being dead is not the end of the world in my eyes, and it may actually help globals not be determined pretty much right from the start. As far as leaving beige early, completely agree as mentioned above. As far as stacking, I also agree as I feel like this could cause issues, but I like the overall idea because it could give a nation a fighting chance if they are losing all 3 def wars for example. They could start a war with someone and win to get a boost.

I do not think you are being fair here. Even if you are right, that is how it works friend. If someone commits a crime and no one can prove it, it is hearsay by definition. If I break the law and get caught can I then say that's unfair? Even if the last 1000 people did not get caught and you did, hearsay is hearsay and your words hold no water without proof. How can you expect someone to make an impartial judgement on what Krampus may or may not have done with no evidence? Should we really just take you at your word? You tell me what you think is fair without being biased. It has nothing to do with using moderation as a weapon, it has to do with owning up to what was done. We all know the consequences of doing something wrong and has to be willing to take them. All we are saying is it is not good practice to say what he said in a post specifically for this purpose. Say what you will backstage, but when you take the stage be willing to accept the consequences of taking that stage. That is the real world.

100% correct here. Post itself aside here, it may not be what the OP intended, but it's not something that reflects well on the post when Yang not only is in high gov, but also personally participated in a scandal to abuse the game that makes them completely invalidated to talk about game health. It's really sad to see this kind of behavior on a post literally designated to talk about this kind of problem. I'd say clearly we all have things to work on. I hate to bring the conversation away from the original post, but since the original post is literally talking about game health, this is clearly not a t$ problem alone as the post suggests. As they say, first take a look in your own backyard before criticizing others.

@Borg What makes you drag the OP's alliance into it? I don't know what you have against t$, but if you read his post you would have seen that the problem he is addressing is literally about new player retention and growth. Not all of his ideas were perfect, but that's exactly what forums are for, collaboration. We are here for one purpose, to make the game a better place for new and existing players. I'm sure that is something we can all agree on. There is no reason to bring affiliation into it just because you have a vendetta. If you think the changes are ridiculous, say it without alienating. Your argument is over as soon as you bring affiliation into it. Present your case, don't alienate.
