Announcement from the Green Protection Agency Triumvirate: Effective today, the GPA will be disbanding itself. The GPA has spent many a year on the P&W platform, using what we believed to be good tactics. We distanced ourselves from the politics and focused internally on our members. We used neutrality as our main tactic, and we became a large alliance of 50+ members at times. Today that is no more. The GPA has seen too many annual rollings, specifically the 4 wars fought consecutively by the GPA these past 3 months. We appreciate the support that we have had over the years. This does not mean that GPA members are quitting the game. It is far from that. The GPA was no longer the alliance it used to be. Therefore, the decision was taken to disband, and rebrand into a new alliance. No longer will we use neutrality, and no longer will we remain out of the political sphere. The GPA is no more, but our members will remain. Again, we thank the support we have had for the past year. So Alex (intentionally or not, i don't know) pretty much deleted food production while still having nations need food. Interesting, the effects of current hunger-games on Orbis are showing already on the markets and future effects will be interesting too, probably more crippling treaties, less wars, shorter wars, food getting stockpiled as other war-materials are now.

For farming purposes it would make sense to make a whole longer guide going up to 1k-1.5k infra, getting all the econ and as much production as possible and a varied production of all the resources a nation has access to. Farming just coal and food doesn't make sense at all, at least in my agricultural play-book it doesn't add up. But NPO after all is ebil and is all about the emperor/empress, maybe their imperial highness just likes coal and food, I don't know.

I have been involved in no writing of no treaties so take it as another ignorant and uninformed opinion, which it certainly is. OP talks about alliances that give up the FA to master alliances, in those cases would it not be easier just to write up more creative treaty, like MPD coupled with an merger into the master, you aren't planning on having FA on your own anyways and want defence, that would also serve the idea of less AAs less treaties. Other major problem or maybe an interesting move in the treaty chess is AAs that intentionally screw up the block-building and work on getting treaties in on as many sides of potential conflicts possible. That too could be worked around with some creative writing adding clauses to treaties or dropping treaties. As I don't believe treaty-web is going anywhere any time soon, the only thought I'm left with is how to make it more interesting or how to destabilize it a little . A good way to do it, I think, would be secret treaties, either by posting Plank with 2 alliance names on the forum or not posting at all. Getting alliances willing to go paperless might also add a measure of uncertainty to the web.

I think it would be best to take care of the all the players fairly, yes Americans is the biggest group playing now, no questions about it but it would make economical sense to be all inclusive instead of excluding everybody else and catering to only Americans. On a side-note: Alex probably has a lot better things to do with the game than go play word-police.

Some Facts: 1) Anything to do with GPA will always look bad on Open Forums in the end. 2)Getting GPA to do anything but debate quickly is hard, very hard. 3)The sooner it ends the better for everyone involved.
