  1. I'm just a humble fool but wouldn't delaying superiority hurt updeclaring?
  2. Congrats to DB! I've had such low expectations of you guys for a long time that even when Kev would praise you i thought that he lost his damn mind. Happy to be wrong. Thanks for being stand up people and good luck in the future
  3. This may shock you to hear but due to the simple way this world works (tiers), HW and Celestial can only realistically fight each other without it being a complete curb stomp. Even the terrifying Clocks can't swing up that much. So... yeah, good effort with trying to sell whatever this is. Ooooo I get it now! Grumpy Man Bad!
  4. Thank you for the word of the day. My statement was based around the fact that you tried to force GATO off brown but failed. Given that CTO was given the same term it's not unfair to assume you guys tried to move them as well which strikes me as kinda funny. I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that it was this term that was the most hotly contested during negotiations since & which is now BS has always been hard to get prots to switch colors, GATO has a history on brown that predates the dinosaurs and TCW was choked about moving off Green. Even if BR didn't want to peace out sooner (which I've heard mix things) it's the fact that you offered terms and basically just got white peace which makes it seem like a gigantic waste of time for no reward. I mean working together on color is very vague, it could be simply that they agreed to vote for whatever stellar name you guys come up with.
  5. Congratulations to Clock on delaying peace to achieve absolutely nothing.
  6. It literally says if one of the blocs gets hit the other will aid them. No matter the reason for article 3 that is a MDP which links the bloc. All HW or Ro$e had to do was say "Hey we are decomming as there is no reason for us to fight" adding the defense part was just poor form.
  7. Please go back and read the comment of when Minc and Oasis linked up. Much of what is being said now is no different. Joining blocs temporarily is in poor taste. I find it highly unlikely Clock had any interest in rolling into another war after BR. Not completely sure why people think Clock can swing up into HW or Ro$e considering the loss of HoF was massive. It is also kinda funny that HW would sign this even after being told that Clock had no interest.
  8. No, you don't. What you believe to be a "good FA" was actually lazy. It doesn't take much for anyone to convince tS that a treaty to defend their pixels is a good idea. They have a history of paranoia so you are effectively justifying their paranoia by wasting the time and energy with this rubbish. People tend to forget that FA's job is to create situations that will either benefit them now or later. Sometimes, it involves leaps of faith not safety nets. Now, I see people crying "Clock Chained Wars Before" as a justification for this red headed stepchild treaty. Problem is the Clock chain into Rose was a completely different beast than what you are seeing right now. When Clock decided to go to war with Rose, CATA and HoF had already had planned to do a brief war on MInc. So when CATA and HoF milled up to do that brief war, Aurora being Aurora milled up as well which triggered Oasis and Minc to sign a Temp treaty with each other for protection. At this point BW got pissed off and joined Clock in hitting them. Clock not wanting to lose their original plans peaced out and hit Rose. This whole war with BR isn't the same situation at all. Quit pretending it is.
  9. Maybe you don't get it or maybe you are trying to get that glorious moment where you can flex your vastly superior intelligence upon us wayward fools. Hell, maybe you are a troll sacrificing his intelligence in order to get a what you view as a rise out of me. I simply do not know but the one thing I do know, is that if HW put more effort into FA than we wouldn't get this FA killing treaty. Imagine being so scared of Clock that you need to sign skytrash. I expected this from them but not HW.
  10. Ok it appears I have to explain what a proxy war is.... When a superpower (bloc) instagates a war but does not get involved in directly is a proxy war. It's a war by proxy. Pretty simple basic stuff and you know, kinda self explanatory. The P&W term you are looking for is Chaining Wars.
  11. I see the lights are on but no one is home. Do I have to explain to you what a proxy war is? This is not an anti proxy war clause. It's a clause that says if Clock or Backroom hits one of you that you will defend the other. This my friend is called an Mutual Defense Pact.
  12. You signed a temporary MDP. How brave and beautiful you two are...
  13. Article 3: During this period of demilitarization in the face of the current ongoing global conflict, the parties pledge to come to the aid of the other if one party comes under the attack of a sphere that is already militarized. Read this please than comment
  14. Lmao what kind of bullshit is this?
  15. So the assumption is that the wiki is never wrong? Johnsons and HM are not majors. One is God tier the other is just tears.
  16. Forget those guys! Join the great Pika Party ruled by the most beloved Pika.
  17. Part of the problem is people believing that the meta is the only place of value forgetting everyone else. Look, as much as the major alliances are a big focus its not solely on them to keep us entertained, it's on us. Wtf is this secondary powers bullshit? You are either in the meta following a major alliance or you aren't. There is no in-between not to mention that we already have smaller groups trying to do their own thing. BR and Johnsons. As I've said before, we need to start sharing our discontent with everyone else to push the drama to the front. The non major blocs need to start realizing that the majors don't care about them so don't be scared to have fun.
  18. Fine, I'll make a serious comment. Everyone and their dog likes to lay claim that the game is boring or dead while forgetting that this a political sim not a roller coaster. Politics isn't about being flashy with instant gratification, it's a long and slow process. Complaining about it only goes to show how people do not understand how it works. So let's pull up a chair to hear some wisdom. This game has basically two areas of politics/entertainment; The META!!! And whatever it is others do, let call it fringe for simplicity. In the meta we have the three majors plus a floating sphere. These three majors watch tiers, growth and focus solely on war cycles in order to limit the advantage of its opposing spheres. Not much risk is taken nor will there be much since unnecessary risk will remove them from contention. There is no goal other than limiting growth so they can keep the balancing act. Like SRD said "We are basically in the middle of a cold war, because the 3 major blocks know whoever doesn't fight is the real winner in a war between two of us." That doesn't mean there isn't anything going on with them since if you paid some attention you will see them still eyeing each other up waiting for that moment. It just takes time. No one here can tell me that sky trash doesn't want to get its pound of flesh from Hollywood or Clock for getting embarrassed. No different than Hollywood wouldn't mind taking a swing at a strong Clock to finally answer the question of who is better. Problem is none of these people are derps so it's unlikely the mistake will be made. Now that's where the red headed stepchild Backroom comes into play and as much as people don't want to admit it their role is vital. They basically act as a swing bloc that can king make or break a war. It's up to the major three to take advantage of situations that are created by them. Like for example today. Clock and BR had bad blood, some of it I truly wished was all in the open for you all to see since that would have been a hell of a build up to a war but alas it doesn't always work like that. Even though there have been trolling and mocking along with other nonsense going on in public for awhile, this is how Clock knew that eventually BR would find a dance partner for a war. Again... majors aren't dumb. The only criticism I can give BR about trying to line Clock up was their inability to read the room. HW and SkyTrash has bigger fish to fry than Clock and Clock is the smallerish major with a history of being willing to throw down. That means it's unlikely they would have found support among the other majors. Personally, I was trying to lay seeds of Johnsons BR doing a war on Clock. Why Lefty you used to be a leader there? Simple my friends, it would have been fun to see a war where whales were basically useless and honestly... I dont think Clock is that amazing either. They would never win the score war but they could choke out the lower end members which would cause Deca's head to explode due to the squeals of the noobs complaining about being cycled. People still forget that there are two ways to win a war, on the scoreboard and on nation pages. Most alliances need a steady stream of new players to fill the ranks of older players who can't be bothered anymore. (Minus grumpy the AIG of the PnW world too big to fail.) It's a fun fact tbh and it doesn't take long wars to annoy noobs enough that they want to leave for greener pastures especially when most of the game is at peace. I'm not even sure if I'm still on topic anymore I'm sorta just running in circles at 2 am... oh yeah the Fringe players. Look we all love to shit on these people because they aren't playing the meta but in reality they do a great job keeping the game interesting during the slow times. They aren't playing for anything grander than their own entertainment which is why they do so well. What people have to understand is they are playing the same game but in a different world so meta and fringe players are not comparable. Both are valuable to the active community seeking entertainment so quit over thinking the game, politics and the state of it.
  19. Oh great another one of these.
  20. Welcome to the game. You win some and lose some....
  21. Glad to see all the trash being put into one pile. CATA Keeping Orbis Clean Since 2021
  22. Congratulations on riding t$ coattails for just about three years! That's some crazy effort there, some would say... In all seriousness, three years is a huge accomplishment for any alliance. I've always been critical of CTO, due to Nexus just seeming to be followers so I'm excited to see what you can do now with BR. Heaven knows this place can use more voices pushing the political scene. Good luck this year and here is to many more!
  23. As the former sekrit hedge leader and current sekrit Johnson in disguise, you are welcomed. It's nice to see my influence runs deep.
