Popular Post Placentica
Currently, if you try to sabotage other nation's spies it will show as "Spies Captured" in your nation screen. I think this is a bad idea since you can't really preform the act without people quickly finding out who did it. With login times, active times, and just seeing how many you capture each day. It's quite easy to figure out your Spy Sabotage operations. My suggetion is to remove from public viewing the Spy Captured and Spy Lost information. Because why would my spies tell the world how many people they captured? 9 Quote Hello! Ben Maxwell
Spy captured has some flavour to it. Why not just make it harder to detect who did it? Like idk hiding date and hour in the message? Then you'd just have to be carefull not to send spies to nation that's online atm. Edit: Or online times could be less precise. Ashland
No. It just makes it that much more frustrating to be on the receiving end of espionage and that much more impossible to figure out who is spying on you, which is already a !@#$ing Herculean task. Placentica
I love the spy system in theory. It's another way to play, just like embargoes. It creates another layer of game play, that will help create more tension and thus more war and more diplomatic "incidents" which are good for the game. Placentica
I know this has long since been abandoned, but I was just shown a tool that basically shows who spy captured who. It really needs to be changed. The amount of spies a nation captures should be private. Making it public, you might as well make all the spy reports for the spy sabotage public as well. Because that's exactly what it is. 2 Quote Hello! I think that's a neat little stat.
Princess Bubblegum
While I agree in principle with the suggestion, I'd also just like to chime in and say that the minimum rate of failing a spy op shouldn't be 1% given the admin's acceptance of the unrestricted nature of it (in terms of score), given that one can receive 3 attacks per day, and given that the OP's suggestion will indeed make it that much more impossible to respond to. I think a default rate of 5% would be more equitable.

Placentica
Oh? Where is this tool? A guy who joined us had a pretty useful tool for it.....makes it all but guaranteed you'll find out who spied on you. Even without the tool you can pretty easily figure it out. Quote Hello! Apeman
Maybe just hide everything about spies. Why would you advertise how many spies you have even?
Shellhound
As someone who has something like 60 captured spys I'd have to disagree with this. Giving people the ability to know who killed off their spies can lead to drama and possibly a war if someone was so inclined.
Spyro
I don't agree. Sheepy created the treasures to promote more war/war scenerios, why would he get ride of this and make such scenerio's more difficult to pursue? There's better things to be worried about, so if this is to be changed, ever, it shouldn;t be done anytime soon.
George W. Bush
I feel as though the game would be more interesting if you knew less about an opponents military. It sounds unreasonable, but did the US know by default how big the military of the USSR by default? How many ballistic missiles they had? No, IMO things like this should only be revealed after a intel op. If people want to show how big there cock is, let them do it, but the point remains. 4 Quote You're no longer protecting the II? Yeah,it a little uncertainty would make things interesting. All things concerning spies should not be visible. You should have to perform in an intel gathering spy attack to find the information. Also,THAT would be nice if it then listed the last 3 days spy operations. I think this could add a very fun aspect to the game.
Fox Fire
Why not just hide spy stats entirely, including the number of current spies? And then I saw this: All things concerning spies should not be visible. Shellhound
Hiding the number of spies really wouldn't serve much purpose, it'd just make it a bit of a pain to find out what you need to get favorable odds.
