I am hypothesize that the stats are pulled over some period of time (x) that is non-zero.  So you grabbed some alliance scores (VE for example) without the war figures and some with (MENSA).  Otherwise your engine is broken.

It grabs the top 50 alliance's stats, all at the exact same time. Almost like a screenshot of the alliance page.

The timing of the DOW is irrelevant. It came several hours after the war actually began.

Then you guys just didn't do enough damage to outweigh the score gained from military building by VE, I guess. Why is any of this an issue to me? Edited May 20, 2015 by Kurdanak

Then there is another error in your analysis.  Both VE and MENSA were gaining in score until the war started.  After which they both started to fall.  That you have one rising and the other falling means that there is an error somewhere.

Take it up with Malone, it's his stats puller. I personally don't buy that there's an error. This next update includes a lot of falling, if it makes you feel any better.

I don't think anybody is upset about this.  It just struck us as odd how Mensa lost in score, yet VE gained in score - when VE took a huge score hit after the DoW's were posted.  We were asking you about it since we figured you had an idea about the coding of the program used with calculating these stats.

The stats are literally a pull of the top 50 alliance page at the same time every day. The buildup/decrease I assume (cause he uses a program to pull info from the top 50 page), is based on the timing of the updates. If someone built up less before the war, or received more damage, before the stats are pulled (12:04am System time, every day) then it's going to be skewed. If you want realtime data logistics etc, I suggest you figure out how to do it on your own.
