Tom Riddle
-A large studio door opens as the lights from a Dance Dance Revolution house party strobe into the Bad Company Executive office. Several men in black pinstripe suits with forest green ties walk into the room nodding to Lucifer as they pass and line up in front of a large wooden desk.- “I assume you know why I called you all here today?”, A sharply dressed man silhouetted by the window says as he leans forward steepling his fingers. Hannah sits cross-legged on the desk polishing a colt she disassembled moments earlier, glaring at the visitors. “Oh... Umm yes Mr.Fulcrum we understand we're here to sign a Contract?”, a man known only as Tom Riddle replies stepping forward into the window-light glancing at Hannah. “Indeed you are...”, Mr.Fulrum's voice trails off as he pushes a portfolio forward on the desk opening it to reveal a single piece of paper, producing a pen he carefully sets it on the desk. The men in the pinstripe suits form a column as one by one they prick their fingers with the pen and sign the contract in blood. Tom signing last he pushes the folder back to the imposing man sitting at the desk. “You know Mr. Fulcrum we don't take this lightly. Means a lot that you'd sign us.”, Tom says as Fulcrum looks over the document with careful eyes nodding slowly and then addressing the group standing before him. “Everything looks good on our end. But you know, a contract signed in blood is not easily broken nor is it taken lightly. We're glad to have you collab with our label.” From this day forward Slytherin will be entering into a ODP contract with Bad Company. All terms and conditions are in the small print visible only to those with the strongest of Prescriptions, but you need not worry yourselves with the details. The mix tapes dropping from this Collab between Bad Company and Slytherin will be the fire, we assure you. O-Level treaties are pretty useless, and a sub rank-50 micro should be getting a protector if anything, not useless 'Optional' treaties. Everybody already has an O-level treaty with everyone as it is, just by default of human nature for acquaintances or even enemies to work as if friends for a similar goal.
chairmanwei
I'm slightly concerned. What's with Slytherin signing all of these contracts with big alliances while maintaining the "dance dance revolution" background theme? It's unsettling. Also, Ravenclaw ftw

Yes, by nature there is always the option to defend someone, an ODP signifies a stronger connection between the alliances and in the time a war breaks out against your ODP, defense is considered more-so than if the ODP was not there. An ODP is almost an obligation to defend, but if at too much an expense of the alliance partner, then that obligation can be ignored. It's basically saying, there is a high chance we will defend each other, but can not always be the case. Everyone has an ODoAP with everyone. If you and another alliance get along well, but there's not enough ties for an M-level, then there's no need for a treaty, because said paperless ODoAP everybody has with everybody just becomes stronger. Infact, this means ODP's are entirely redundant and even more pointless, since paperless ODoAP's for everyone is a thing.
Apeman
Says this "Everything looks good on our end. But you know, a contract signed in blood is not easily broken nor is it taken lightly. While true, the fact that they saw fit to announce it as a thing means that they would consider defending their O-level ally more than they would consider defending someone else that they don't have a treaty with. This therefore has to be considered by anyone that's planning an attack, and thus influences the behavior of both alliances' potential enemies. Simply put, a paper ODP is stronger than the ties between strangers, and matters to potential aggressors. Whether or not an ODP trumps an NAP is another question. I've seen it argued both ways, though since neither alliance in question here has any NAPs it's a moot point.
