For those of you who wish to become a part of the Roleplaying community here on the National Affairs subforum of Politics & War,

this is the thread within which you should reply! (Following the application example provided further down in this post.)

Hey there! Are you a new member to P&W, looking to try out some roleplaying? Or are you already a seasoned Roleplayer, looking to develop his/her skills in RPing? Well, all I can say is that with this post I hope to establish a friendly, low-drama roleplaying environment for those among us who have an interest in roleplaying out our nation's actions. Whether you're an experienced veteran, or completely new and inexperienced to roleplaying, allow me to say that I'll do my best as your OP to be friendly and accepting of every type of roleplayer.

Yes, I will welcome all of those who are interested in beginning to roleplaying- However- I am also encouraging high quality roleplaying and constructive worldbuilding.

For casual roleplay, the National Affairs subforum itself should do.

(However this does not mean that you are free to do as you please in the National Affairs subforum; It will still be moderated, as it is meant for In-Character posts and interactions.)

 

Note of interest; Several members of our Roleplaying community have based either their nations or their nation's rulers upon Anime-inspired nations or rulers. As a relatively open-minded OP who can appreciate all kinds of roleplay, I see no problem with it- You're free to roleplay as whatever you wish- Hey- If you want to be Space Vampires who have a small nation on Orbis- That's fine- As long as your roleplay is constructive and well-intentioned. HOWEVER- Let it be known that even if you decide to roleplay as 'Space Vampires', that this does not give you an advantage in terms of wars or anything. Other nations may look down upon you and whisper things such as "Rumors of vile witchcraft can be heard spreading from the nation of [X]" - In terms of roleplay, you're free to be as creative as you like, as long as you do your best to keep it interesting for others, and as long as you agree to follow the rules, which include not using Godmode-ey powers or magics or any such thing against other nations, etcetera.

*IC stands for 'In-Character' - Use language that would be expected of a figure responsible for your nation.

*OOC stands for 'Out-of-character' - I simply added this to the application because I want to establish a clear line between OOC & IC, as to avoid as much drama as possible.

 

 

Rules (These may be subject to change at my own, Sheepy's, or the Community's discretion, and are not final;

 

1.) Abide to the P&W Forum Rules.

 

2.) No godmoding. (Even if you choose to roleplay as an advanced/magical nation, your nation will be just as vulnerable as a non-magical/advanced nation.)

(Definition: Godmoding is an arbitrary statement of superiority to the detriment of good roleplay. Be reasonable and accept that you can lose a war, etc.)

 

3.) No metagaming. (No use of OOC knowledge that you wouldn't have known IC'ly.)

 

4.) Remain In-Character as much as possible. Whilst OOC interactions are fine, this subforum is meant for In-Character posts, so keep the OOC chatter to a minimum.

 

5.) Consent is given, not taken; Do NOT make posts on behalf of others, and do not take control of other nations in any way, shape or form, unless they give you consent to do so.

 

6.) Be reasonable and show respect. Whilst we may all roleplay different nations with differing political views and actions taken, we're here to have fun, and you should always respect and appreciate other people's efforts and attempts to join in on the roleplay to join in with the fun.

On Hold- 'USA' isn't very specific, as claiming the entirety of the USA would exceed the 50 province maximum initial claim limit. Where, exactly, would you be located within the USA? East Coast? West Coast? Please be a little bit more specific. (Such as naming specific States and what-not).

 

And, as for your question; All the posts for this will still be right here in the National Affairs subforum. This new thread is simply part of a larger scale reboot, if you will, in an effort to get people more involved and more detailed in terms of their roleplay- Something I hope can be achieved now that we've got a subforum leader. (Hint; C'est moi!) - TL;DR: It'll still all be here, but this thread exists because previous to it, there were very little rules or guidelines for roleplay.

I can suggest two things; You could take it up with Khevin himself, or if you like you could adapt your claim and incorporate, say, some parts of Germany, or perhaps the Czech Republic & Slovakia, etc. etc. into your country.
