  1. As a preface, yes I have been repeatedly on the receiving end of this strategy. I admit that I am a new player but I still think that there should be some counter play to a very powerful strategy which currently has none. Nuclear weapons should be deadly and powerful and an effective deterrent, so touching nukes themselves seems unfair. On the other hand, there are limited to no counters to this. 1.Unlike virtually every other unit, nukes and missiles have invincibility timers to espionage and cannot be destroyed by conventional means. That means a player who knows what they are doing will not ever have a nuke/missile destroyed. 2.They can be built daily as long as one has resources and the 4m a day you get from activity centre + daily login. 3. Due to the above two points, you are able to build and fire them even with no conventional forces or economy that in theory would be required to protect them. 4.Aas a result, having a military, economy or indeed a functioning country is no longer necessary. Instead, a small amount of money from a patron/alliance and activity centre+ daily login money are all that is needed for the most powerful, uncounterable military strategy in the game. I have two simple suggestions to make. 1. Allow planes to target resources as well as cash. Reason: if cash can be destroyed than attacking a nation’s resources should be too. This will also make blockades more impactful and buff arguably the weakest category of unit too. It will also make warfare more interesting with there being a new method of fighting opponents by starving them of specific resources. 2. Make buildings that exist over the infra cap more likely to be destroyed or just to buff the damage that conventional military attacks (land and sea, given the current strength of planes) do against improvements. This should also scale somewhat with the amount of infra damage inflicted. Reason: nonsensical that destroying infrastructure allows such a large number buildings to remain, with some cities having 50 buildings at next to zero infrastructure and leads to situations where countries have multi billion dollar gdps despite having populations in the low thousands. Also makes conventional attacks more impactful against people who aren’t running a commerce build. Having very low infra at the moment is not very bad if the buildings are running. A bombed out, occupied wasteland should not be functioning 75% as well as a normal country. I believe these changes will allow for more counterplay against turrets in the game which currently have none. I would like to hear what you all have to say.

Quite a bit of movement in one month's time. Our experts have been fully tuned in and have a clear understanding on the political climate. No time away from the grind in this corner of Orbis, no sir! That is why we bring you the MPPR each and every month! TKR & friends see a massive slide due to their current FA situation they find themselves in. Rose (the ever-aggressive, malicious and provocative bunch) climbs the rankings via pure fear and obviously not due to their situation/size/FA position. Meanwhile Eclipse goes to the top by being the most friendly bunch in all of Orbis. They even facilitated more Global peace with no plans of laying the smack down on any other party. Such a thoughtful bunch deserves the #1 slot. May should be an eventful month, can't wait to see what it brings!
  3. You seem to be forgetting I was leading Paradise at the time. You are correct that you weren't plotting to hit Singularity at that point, because it didn't exist, but it's a moot point, you did plan to hit Singularities predecessor, you DID hit Singularity ultimately, when it merged, on the back of that plan. There was even a retroactive attempt to use the formation of Singularity and the numbers it provided to Florida, as a justification, completely ignoring the fact you were more than willing to hit Florida, with TKR/Grumpy AND CATA. I was establishing why I don't trust you by pointing to an example of when I worked with you in a coalition, and then you immediately plotted to target the people you worked with in that same coalition. You can say it was all about Rose all you like, but Rose didn't even front the coalition against Fortuna, nor the formation of Florida, I have as much of a basis to make that claim as Rose does, and given my role in the formation of that coalition, more so I'd say. And considering you just conceded that Rose has a leg to stand on, it's clear you aren't denying you chose to target us immediately after the war ended. I wasn't criticizing your desire to make an arrangement that benefited you. I was directly responding to the claim you "rescued us" and that we should be "grateful." You made a self interested decision to enter. We made overtures towards you before the war ever started, to which you guys turned down. That's within your rights, but the attempt to spin the events of last war as a "rescue" of a group of alliances who had already lost all their infra and been fighting that specific conflict for 2 months is laughable. We COULD have gone through with what by all accounts would have been long nap, sat out of the next cycle, leaving you guys to fend for yourselves. (Which, amusingly, is what happened here.), but instead we chose to fight longer in order to avoid a potential nap cycle being placed on all parties. I'm going to assume this is because you only became leader after the war, and so your involvement was limited. There was definitely discussion and counter measures put into place for the one glaring possibility you are alluding. And you are correct, panicked decision making did take place, but it wasn't ours. We had very specific expectations that were set, and when the chips were down, those expectations were not met by the parties on your side of the coalition. We didn't panic, we immediately responded, and urged others to follow through on the commitments they had made, but out of fear, they chose not to. So no, I don't concede that at all. My claim, from the beginning, is that there was an attempt, by Morf, to leave us behind. That is what he supported, that is what he wanted. And that is why he brought the deal only to Rose first, and pitched it that way. Had Rose agreed to it then, that's what would have happened. You say he brought the offer to Rose first, what you are omitting, is he brought the offer that included leaving Singularity/TFP in the war alone, to Rose first, and advocated for it. And he did a lot more advocating for it from what I have seen. This I find a little ridiculous. Your only grievance from us is that as you say, is malicious rumors. But those "malicious" rumors, are just the same accusations that I have made here. Essentially, you are mad that we are mad at you. You can call what I've said lies and smears, but when things started to get heated here, I approached you and offered to settle this privately. I haven't yet dropped any of the information on here to make my points, because ultimately, the only audience here that I've been directing this is you and your government. So here is my question, Do you want me to start dropping logs? Because being called a liar for the claims I've been making is, to me, a direct call out. And the only way I can defend myself here is to start doing so. I am happy to start responding, with logs, starting with every post Canbec has made, and then you, and then the random ass members of TKR and their various hot takes, if that is where we feel this needs to go. Or, we can deal with it privately, and you stop trying to argue points in public that aren't true.
  4. imagine thinking TI fought well or that you could gauge fighting after a day of conflict smh they went -8.5b and had a grand total of like 120 defensive wars, hardly something to write home about
  5. We’ve not engaged much partially because we’ve been busy, but also because with much of this, we have already made our stance on what happened in the lead up to this NAP clear in Roberts’ post here: We aren’t interested in repeating them ad nauseam, and we have been reaching out privately to talk to folks as well. That said, there are a few points made here we wish to clarify on publicly. This particular claim makes very little sense to me. Singularity didn’t even exist when the Fortuna war ended, and at that point, we were still allied to one of the alliances that would go on to form Singularity. So no, we weren’t immediately plotting against you. If Rose instead wanted to make that claim, they might have a leg to stand on. However, that decision to fight them was based on our understanding they were blaming us for the coalition against Fortuna, which we made clear in our CB/discussions with them following that war, even if they disagreed with our conclusions. Did we try to make an arrangement that was as much to our advantage as to the advantage of the other members of the coalition? Of course we did. As did you, as does any alliance. But blaming everything that went wrong in that war on TKR shows a lack of accountability for your own role in how that war played out. Everyone involved contributed to the breakdown of that war. Best I can tell, there was at least one glaring possibility that was missed and/or not adequately planned for during war prep, which when happened, led to panicked decision making, a breakdown of communications, and a war that went down quickly in flames. We all had a hand in that. To clarify your misconception here, the moment the offer was made to us, we took it to the coalition. There was no separate deal. Despite your perception that you were going to be left behind, that was never a reality nor a real possibility. Although, by your own words, you were doing just fine and didn't need our help, we can agree that had that been a legitimate thing we were trying to do, it would have been bad. Fortunately, that wasn't the case. We assume this misinterpretation of our intent comes from the fact we first took the offer to Rose to gauge their interest, since they had the most to lose from continuing the war and we were willing to continue fighting if they were. Our only mistake during that part of things was to not push for a public peace server, considering how quickly rumors began circulating following the end of the war and again, how quickly responsibility for that entire war was shoved onto us. I could likewise say the same, considering every effort in collaboration with you for the past year results in malicious rumors and our name being smeared. While we don’t deny we’ve made mistakes and are fine taking ownership of them when we’ve actually done something wrong, there have been countless rumors about us of late that are clearly false and, whether intentionally or unintentionally, manufactured. It's easy to read between the lines and completely misinterpret statements when one is searching for ill intent. This is what we believe has been happening on your end. We're choosing to give you the benefit of the doubt here instead of assuming you're intentionally lying and smearing us. There is clearly some mutual mistrust between our alliances fueling this, and that's something we are willing to admit and work toward resolving. We’ve already started talking with your alliance privately and are happy to try and work this out if you're willing to as well. Same offer goes to Rose and Guardian, who I understand to have similar concerns as well.
  6. Currently there are 4 distinct spheres that signed a 3-month NAP extension without fighting a single conflict. This means that over 60% of the alliances are subject to the NAP extension with the other 40% under an NAP which ends next month or neutral alliances. With 3 seperate NAPs running concurrently, here are a few takes: Where did the definitive purpose of signing a non-agression pact shift from a tool to rebuild after long-lasting and costly wars to a political method utilized to circumvent wars and discourage game activity? Is this just a new rendition of the same NAP to discourage the hiring/auctioning of mercs/pirates to hit another coalition after notable instances? (e.g. Wheel of Misfortune, TGH) Does this recent foreign affairs move set a precedent on future NAPs to be signed in a similar manner? How will this affect the overall game activity in the next 2-4 months given these are often the months of highest game activity? Ty @Themonia for pointing this out.
  7. Given that you stated that you didn't want to sign the NAP and wanted to keep fighting and I asked you why you did and why you didn't and you and others never answered but just kept deflecting or ignoring the questions, I am old enough to know when to stop beating the dead horse. So no it doesn't settle the issue you just keep avoiding it. You keep telling yourself what ever you need to in order to make yourself feel good about things. Bye again.
  8. "Rescued" ODOO set terms and conditions on us for their entry that were undoubtedly beneficial to themselves. Their entry was self interest, a prid quo pro. By that point in the war, we had already taken all the damage we were going to take. Peace negotiations with SAIL and us would have taken place and been finished well before the extended war would have, had parties remained in the coalition instead of peacing out. We could have taken a long NAP and sat and allowed for things to play out without us. It would have been more beneficial for us to do so. We opted to make a deal that would prolong the conflict we had already been fighting for 2 months (preceding 2 months of fighting others) in order to make a move that would benefit all parties, That would have committed us to at least 5 months of straight war. The assertion that we were rescued from anything is laughable. I'm not going to expand on what your terms were, despite the various wild claims being made here, but the fact is, you guys had a deal on the table that worked for you, and that is why you helped. And then you walked away from the deal. And very abruptly. We all know how much of a mess that was. As far as us being "angry" goes, I hadn't really intended to get involved in this discussion much. But certain claims were made here that required addressing, and I think it's interesting you guys have chosen to single us out, given everyone else who signed onto the nap, including alliances you claim to have good relations with, and, all in all, we owe you the least here besides perhaps Eclipse. TKR immediately planned to attack us as soon as the Fortuna war in which we fought together was over. And they did, bringing in Syndicate. That put us under a NAP cycle, the same one that prompted their entry into our war later on. TKR made a deal that, as I said earlier, was beneficial to them, in order to bring themselves in, and then when things got too hairy for them, struck a different deal behind our backs, and attempted to exclude us from the process, which would have inevitably left us in the same war they are purported to have rescued us from lmfao. These are all claims I can easily support with evidence, if I have to. Despite all this, we have not gone after or targeted you directly, this entire time. We could have easily sought revenge on TKR/ODOO for your previous attacks on us, we could have easily sought to align with people attempting to hit you this cycle, and, with this nap in place, we could easily align with the current coalition against you. Instead, we have, more than once, attempted to work with you, and find mutual common ground and cut deals with you that would work to our mutual benefit. But past behaviour is a pretty good indicator for future behaviour, and TKR has proven time and time again, that collaboration with you ends poorly for us. Perhaps you'd prefer me to sit alongside you, whisper sweet nothings in your ear, and pretend like I wasn't one of the alliances who signed onto the NAP? Given who you guys have chosen as the target of your ire here, it feels to me that you'd rather hear comfortable lies than brutal honesty.
  9. Ah, but you see, in this very thread, Sketchy and others have stated that they didn't want to sign the NAP and they wanted to keep fighting. I have asked them several times why and they still haven't answered. They just keep deflecting the question and answering with other nonsense. So as you can see, it's not a stupid argument to make, it's just a simple question which they won't answer. I hope this clears things up for you and if not, at least I tried. Bye now.
  10. As someone who was SIN's enemy in the war, "why didn't they keep fighting after we pulled out" is a very stupid argument to make. It's completely understandable that the half-milled SIN at the time would want to settle on whatever they could get if the larger of their sphere allies pulled out. Enlarging the war to include Rose (and not ODOO) and WELP while SAIL was already comfortably sitting on CIS means it would go even more favorably in SAIL's favor. Rose died at the hands of WELP instantly, even while SAIL was being focused by ODOO.
  11. I mean yeah, the bar was insanely low considering that leading up to said point a certain 1 side sat around at 0 mil while also being blanket bieged and thought throwing a bunch of missiles/nukes constitutes as fighting. What's even more incredibly ironic is claiming they were fighting at all. 😂
  12. Because it didn't have any bearing on why you guys signed the NAP when you wanted to keep on fighting, so you say.
  13. One of your 2 major allies (TI), has fought for 1 day total in the past year and yet was still by far fighting the best out of your whole sphere. Perhaps it is in your best interest to look inwards before projecting your salt out onto the world. Perhaps even go back to sticking what you are good at, baseball and perma stockpiling nukes.
  14. Because you guys caved and signed the NAP. Doesn't seem like you wanted to keep fighting now does it?
  15. IDK bro, the prospect of being abandoned by your coalition partners isn't exactly an amazing deal. Why didn't TKR keep fighting? Seems I could just make the same argument to you. Lmfao.
  16. Cute spin. You guys are the ones who forced the peace in the first place in one day war. We didn't want to peace at all. We wanted to keep fighting. Now you are trying to pretend that was instigated by us, because as usual, TKR plays the blame game, and this is exactly why we didn't want to work with you. You betray the coalitions you work with, over and over, shifting blame to others to hide your own shit. We had just come off fighting 4 months straight, and you forced us into the room to make peace after one day. We would have fought on. You cut a deal with t$ and leveraged it to get us all to peace out. Attempting to pin the nap on us because, when faced with a decision we didn't want, we pushed for something that would benefit us more as a consolation prize, is rich. Now you are shocked and amazed that we dared not to work with you, when you are still out here lying and obfuscating information in order to shift responsibility from yourselves. This NAP happened because of you, because you weren't content to fight Eclipse in a 1v1 on your own terms, and we knew, that when face to face with that prospect in a months time, you would have signed the other deal on the table and left us to be screwed. Because that is what you did last war, and that is the pattern of behaviour you've established for 2 cycles in a row, you screw over your coalition partners.
  17. Both is good, but i do have a preference for the latter since it is not as one dimensional. Unfortunately the fighting phase doesn't last that long, wasn't there supposed to be a beige update about it?
  18. AUTHORED BY THE EVER ELOQUENT SUPERFLOUS LYSANDER THE GREAT This is disgraceful. Y’all, c’mon. We’ve watered down peace terms to white peace and a NAP. Sometimes wars are the result of political maneuvering - it’s clear this NAP was - but very little of that is made public. Some of the recently used “CBs” have made it clear that the war itself is because of something, but the reasoning is increasingly hidden from the public. Most players no longer even know what they’re fighting a war for when one kicks off. Spectators have no clue what the true reasoning is unless they’re in-the-know. And once the war finishes, the terms are white peace (or maybe a surrender) and a NAP. We’re aware most of you don’t care about this opinion. We just couldn’t sit around and watch a good number of our friends, within and without the alliance, continue to lose interest in the game because the talking heads don’t care about the overall game. This post isn’t about “politics” - it’s about pointing out that this is just… uncool. The mergers we’ve seen reduce the number of political actors. That’s not to say they’re not a valid strategy, but so is signing a forever NAP and just never fighting again. In fact, never fighting again is the optimal strategy. I’m sure some parts of the game are working hard on that goal, but the point is that, as players, we are partially responsible for the health of the game & its political environment. I hope this is the only time we see this happen, but I’m not going to pretend that’s what I expect. First it was 3.5 months for one day. Now it’s an extra 3 months for no time. Maybe these thoughts mean nothing. But we’re not the only ones having them. Yours truly, House Stark If you would like to debate or discuss this further, feel free to join one of the Community server of all time in Orbis: RON, where Lysander will be holding a discussion regarding this truly wonderful advancement in FA. https://discord.gg/royal-orbis-news-446601982564892672
  19. Tell everyone why we only had a day of fighting.
  20. Lmfao this game is led by wimps As if a 3.5 month NAP for 1 day of fighting wasn't enough, they somehow find a way to extend it to 6.5 months👌
  21. As we continue to put focus on remedies using diplomacy, discussions have been had in private channels about extending the Orbis NAP and having peace between spheres. This has been agreed upon and involved parties are listed in length at the end of this article. This will be effective following immediately after the end of the current non-aggression pact from the One Day War ending on May 18th, 2024 12:00 AM Gametime (Standard Update) The agreed upon terms are as followed: A non-aggression period between the constituent alliances of all coalitions lasting August 18th, 2024 12:00 AM Gametime (Standard Update) during which as defined are: No wars on members No raids on members No mass ghosting to hit coalition members No shell alliance hits No spy attacks will be carried out against the other coalition’s members No hiring of mercenaries or raiders to hit the opposing coalition signatories Signatories agree that an agreement of mutual defense supersedes non-aggression. Henceforth, if there is found to be documented and proven aggression by any signatories, diplomacy should be executed to resolve by way of peace, financial reparations, or war. Response by the defending party is at their discretion, based on severity. The terms of the NAP are considered void between the aggressive signatory or parties and the receiving signatory or parties - depending on violation, only upon official statement given publicly. If no statement of voiding is given publicly, with proof, then the NAP as outlined prior will continue to be enforced. All extensions of alliances below are automatically included in the NAP, named or otherwise. 22. I think the fundamental problem is using nukes/missiles as the primary improvement destroyers. There is no way to balance the impact is has against small nations vs. big nations. 15 improvements (3 nukes) a day a ton for a c20 on 2k infra, it's nothing to a c50 with 3k infra. That goes back to @Buorhann's idea -and an idea that we've brought up many times in the past - but as @Keegoz says, have never come to a consensus on - which is improv degradation when you infra does not support that number of improvs or drastically increasing the ability for military attacks to destroy improvs. Generals will have some impact with some traits on their dev tree i think but that's still sporadic and unreliable to become the meta i would think. Here's another idea - Aircraft can target improvs - (3) for IT, (2) for MS, (1) for PV. After the general improv drops - we should reassess the new meta and we should absolutely revisit war balancing. Beige rework didn't work but that's only because there was a pointless beige cap of 5 days. But rapid military rebuilding in beige should be looked at because of the major buffs to nuke/missiles that discourage military fighting at all in a one-sided war. There should be a way to use military to gain some net with flash attacks in a way that can equal or surpass the damage that nuke/missile turrets do. This just isn't possible with the opportunity cost of a 6 day rebuild (extra day for rebuy).
  23. For too long Noctis has posted on these forums, yapping about this thing and that thing. Noctis has claimed ownership of Yellow because of his brainrot, as he gets his low tier noobs to try defending it for them; as they keep gaining as much damage as they can. It's time for the masses to stand up, spin around and fall over to prove Noctis can win. We encourage all on Yellow to Vote The Immortals Yellow Bloc to prove to Noctis that Immortals has more people on Yellow. We probably wont fight for Immortals right to treat Noctis as a second class nation, but we are not above strongly worded letters. We encourage others to stand with us & vote to make Yellow the same as it always was. We are open to both treaties and paperless relations with those who wish to assist in proving change is impossible. The same Noctis complains forever and we can't change that. Yellow is the color of urine, not sure why Noctis settles for pee colors rather than be Red. Either he is colorblind, or maybe he likes to stare at the sun til his brain melts. Raiders are fighting for loot & avoiding the good colors because they are too busy looting people to farm a 75000 dollar per turn bonus, so the evil whales can keep getting richer than them at an even faster pace. Better to sit on your ass, than to whine on your toilet. Oppressive Dinosaur from Singularity, Sketchy.
  24. Under the leadership of Spanky, Cult of Canyon (CoC) (https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=10664) were victorious against The Primal Knights (TPK) (https://politicsandwar.com/alliance/id=12422). Some stats (Damage done): CoC = around 2 billion TPK = around 900 million After taking so much damage and then loosing allies who drop them, we won’t take any names. they were forced to surrender to us. At first TPK were all mighty talking how strong they are and how they plan to give everyone in their alliance UP & AUP grants between the war just so they can troll us, after they look at their bank, they knew they f up. Soon they understood their limit. They are not fighting mortals but follower of God, the great god Canyon followers. The god that made wine into water by adding water in the wine. Peace Terms: 1. TPK surrender to CoC! 2. TPK leader will respect our god and our belief. As the first step towards peace, they will pray to our god with us and try to ask for mercy for mocking our god that started the whole conflict. our god is real, he comes online in discord and give us guidance, we have proof that he walks the earth with us. Leader of TPK praying to our god in our server #Temple-of-canyon (never disrespect our beliefs) 3. TPK pays 420 million to the cult for the damages they have done, and this money will be used to spread canyon religion around the world. Here is the proof of them sending money. 4. CoC will have mercy and sign a NAP for the sake of TPK Survival. Turns out they have done a merger to become something order (https://politicsandwar.com//alliance/id=12422) so the NAP will move to this new merger alliance. we are good people after all.
