  1. Would this body have any(enforced) effects or would it be purely cosmetic?
  2. Thanks Alex, keep up the (sometimes controversial) work.
  3. Am I the only one who seems to miss a top 5 alliance in that list? (Ronny adresses this a bit further in the thread) This is the best proposal I have seen in a long time though, I didn't think about that cruelty untill now.
  4. Do I see translated Mangha? [Shouts]: Aleeeeex..
  5. Rose? Never heard of that bunch before. Who is that man on the civ statue, please get him off.
  6. You do see that is 4 years ago, right?
  7. As I Belgian I support this endavour
  8. Is an alliance with one member an alliance? Actual question here, what is the point of these posts if there is, one member in an alliance.
  9. I agree, the biggest issue is the fact that it can easily be automated and makes money without risk. Let us unite, for our love of Keno
  10. Baseball, probably one of the most controversial topics over the past few months, and I am here, once more to stir up the controversy once more. I am doing this because first of all, I believe that baseball is an inherently unfair system for these reasons: It allows players who manage to play hours (not its less if I recall correctly) to play 250 home games and generate a lot of money by just... clicking; many players are playing this game with the idea of some kind of strategy in mind, there is 0 strategy in baseball. It can earn too much compared to other revenue sources This is probably the most important bullet point, it can very easily be cheated around and we know it; I won't say anyone did it because I can not prove that, and I do not think it's beneficial right now to do that, but only the highest peaks get banned for botting. People can simply make a bot ready for average with some kind of random number generator deciding how many games to play that day in a certain range and an x amount of chance to override and play 0. It would (as far as we know) be impossible to track. Something that is this hard to track but is illegal, should probably be prevented. Before the war many people accused many people of it being a blatantly political effort to "hurt the other side", the war is over, I still think baseball is unfair and unbalanced, and now, I can say it without politics being an argument. My alliance (as far as I know) does not have to gain anything with this, we are not at war with anyone. If the forum community is truthful and honest with themselves (which I have full faith in they will be), I think it would be fair for them to support a harsher nerf, complete removal or a complete re-doing of baseball. Either remove it entirely Make it financially literally useless (this is probably the worst option, I think if nerfs kept going we would be there) Or a third option, (one which will take far too long and is unrealistic): Make it something in line with the rest of the game; the game itself isn't made for hours of clicking, there is cookie clicker for that. Make it an "independent" run club where you can not directly buy stats but merely "invest" (with an amount of money to put in) in your team and stadium, things that will give you a long term benefit but not instant. make all teams play a game every X amount of turns. If you want to make it more interesting make it so there are "leagues" and "cups" which teams can play in. The more prestigious a league or club, the more people will come, maybe buy merch, etc. Leagues get more prestigious by having "better" clubs or clubs with long seniority (tradition), maybe make people lose some/all seniority if they change league (obviously how good individual clubs are/their tradition should affect their income too). This will allow alliances to have league systems that are thought out and can benefit the alliance and their members, or members who wish to invest the big time can work with other people who want to do so to ensure their league and or cup is "better". Maybe make "player transfers" possible, as another way of monetization, that would be with different nations obviously and this could be a more direct way for a nation owner to quickly make their players better. TL;DR of option three: Integrate baseball completely in the fabric of the game. I realize the third option is too much to ask, but, I still wanted to propose it. Keno got removed, I don't know why exactly, but it did; Baseball didn't while it is easier to cheat. There is another big difference between Keno and Baseball. If you have a (correctly programmed) game of keno and play infinite games, you will always lose money. If you have the current type of baseball, and you play infinite times, you will always gain money. Added to that there was the argument that a big part of the community did not want to nerf and or remove baseball. I just want to say that a big part of the people who supported baseball... well look at it yourself: And these are just the first 2 I checked... literally. I think many more of them are gone. I beg you, the community, the moderation, the admins to look at this hole that needs to be fixed, that needs to not exist, this game is completly automatable, it rewards cheating. We can do it now, during peacetime, without having to judge each other because of political and or war views. We are in peace, let us change this game in many ways, ways we couldn't touch during the war. ~~Belgium ps: please, if we let baseball stay, bring back keno, it is a money sink.
  11. Ah yes revise approval rating and its (now) negligible effects, but please re-evaluate the whole formula for that
  12. I think people should be able to see what timezone any particular nation has set their DC to. (potentially trough spy ops?) And a screen where leadership can see the timezone of their members
  13. Back when Goons and NPO were still a thing, people tought my reason to nerf baseball was politically motivated, I hope that we right now, can find a way to nerf baseball, without people seeing it as politics. I still think it's unfair.
  14. Should make new ones ? think there is plenty o' material
  15. I can't say I love Dynamic as much as I love you, but I'll love you forever my emperor. ?
  16. Kek, need to get a Rose sponsorship from some random ass socialist part from who knows where.
  17. I do support this, but, I do believe that rules should be enforced stronger, more consistent and more clear.
  18. I don't either. I think there would be very valid ways to implement sports and even private companies and so on, but a cookie clicker way isn't the way to do that. This is, a strategy game, not a cookie clicker. This system can be automated too efficiently, without being caught.
  19. 10% of all money currently in existance is Baseball Billions. I am not claiming that anyone here is guilty of cheating as I don't have proof, but, I am claiming that cheating is very easy, possible and hard to detect. This game is a strategy game and not cookie clicker, if I wanted a cookie clicker id play one, any edge should be completly strategic.
  20. Maybe, but maybe it also doesn't, the thing of essence here is the amount of money generated in-game, by doing something that has very little to do with what the core of the game is about. The problem is Alex, if I had a bot for baseball, (which I don't) id just let it play a random amount of games between 400-1000 games, and use a random number generator which would decide if I shouldn't play baseball that day. (a 10% chance for example). I think it would be nearly impossible to track and would generate around 14 million (assuming 20K per game, 700 avg, no tipping) on everyday I let my bot run. Ofcourse there would be some costs to repay, but I think we can both see how much money this is to generate from a mechanic that isn't base game (as in, this game is a nation sim, not a baseball sim) and how this can be problematic. It is very automatable, very hard to detect and generates quite a lot of money. To put it in perspective, if baseball did not exist there would be 10% less money in the world, some might call this a drop in the bucket, but I don't think it is. I think baseball is just as dangerous as Keno if not more dangerous. Keno was a money sink on average (I hope at least), this is not a money sink, only a printing press.
  21. If zev made them (but that would have been before he was a leader), he never implemented them, we do not script infra rebuilds, and that I can guarantee. My reaction may have been overblown, but, one can get annoyed if people state their own facts for their arguments. I don't think you liked it when people said you automated "everything" when you disputed that claim earlier.
