  1. Players shouldn't feel obligated to help a mirco get exposure. When you create a mirco you should be self aware. It's up to you to choose a nurturing protector and understand your limitations. We cannot create a culture for you nor should anyone hold your hand. Just don't be another Sean Anthony and learn from your mistakes.
  2. Its completely unacceptable that you stepped in. BK getting butt hurt and leaving was because their BFF got caught cheating not because you done anything. So Seb and others aren't entitled to a thing. For someone that has been eating all sorts of crap about favoritism it baffles me why you would think this was ok.
  3. https://politicsandwar.com/inbox/message/id=3854914 Someone has too much time in their hands.
  4. I'd really hate to see NPO disband because they bring so much to this community but my friend you have such a steep slope to climb that I do not envy you. Like it or not but people will not forget quickly what happened and even if Alex swings around back people will feel it was cheating. You have to stop blaming Alex for the poor judgment of others. The man has a terrible job because no matter what he does it's going to be wrong.
  5. This ladies and gentlemen is why we can't have anything nice.
  6. Only quoted this part because it's the only part that I care to point out how wrong you are and that thinking is part of the problem. Although you are correct that we create our own entertainment, it is the actions of the game leadership that effects the overall experience the most. When IQ decided to cuddle again it brought the game back into a stale place that groups such as Chaos and KETOGG wanted to move away from. To many players it was just more of the same nonsense that has been making this game dull. We don't have a choice to choose who we play with unlike in many other games so it is up to everyone to see more than what effects themselves. It is up to us all to make this game fun.
  7. Funny, you guys had your chance to change the cycle. Guess thinking outside the box isn't really NPO's forte. Good luck to KT in the future.
  8. Never really understood the Karma system. Thought it was stupid and meaningless. I don't think very many people care what their overall score is nor should it bother them. I figure at the time it was just a neat stat people thought would be interesting but in reality just pointless. Like so many people have said down voting is important to gauge the community. Sure, it's not to see people go back and forth discussing ideas but really most people won't nor care to deal with the trolls and goblins of the OWF.
  9. Hi Wall, my name is Lefty. How are you? It's to the player base game wide. It's not to the leaders of IQ and their little brothers in GOONS that like to take the easy route. It's to anyone that has been wondering why have this war been going on? Well, this thread and the others was us shining a light on it. The logs just verified it. Like it or not I've had people on your side message me already and tell me how much they dislike what has been going on.
  10. It has nothing to do with us and more of showing everyone the nonsense that is consuming the game. You are smart enough to figure that out.
  11. Karma happened because NPO pull nonsense like this. All we are doing is repeating a cycle the same tired cycle. This isn't that world nor should that world be even used as a talking point in this one. If people choose to hold grudges or compare this one with that than we will do nothing but repeat it. So let's move on.
  12. No doubt. I shook my head so hard that I almost snapped my neck.
  13. The whole idea of "forcing" disbandments are illogical and childish nonsense. All it does is hurt the game. It doesn't matter if it comes from 1 member or all. When it comes from a high ranking government member than it shows how little they care or understand the game as a whole. PnW is a niche game where it's hard to gain and hold members so when these people come out to push others out they hurt it. Doesn't matter which side they are on since to me they are idoits. I think it is pretty obvious that the goal is to cripple any opposition which will stagnate the game. That's why they refused to buy into a more complex political landscape. It was fear driven and much like these logs show that they are still fear driven. The next war will be same sides because of that, it's not revenge but lack of other options. That's my opinion anyways. As to your last point. Sure, during times of war the average member has more to do but that only holds for so long. Players want to war, build and repeat. They don't want to sit for 6 months doing nothing and even the excitement of war grows thin as time goes on. There is absolutely no reason for a war to last longer than a couple of months other than the fulfillment of some people's egos. We make our own entertainment and the quicker people realize that the cycles of rebuild, political reshaping, than collapse leading to war the better off we will be. But sure go ahead and claim that this whole mess is good for the game in general.
  14. I know you guys are new here but this is Noctis. You'll get used to it.
  15. I don't understand how this keeps happening. Is it some strange rite of passage for a new leader of Pantheon to have the bank stolen?
  16. You don't thinking just spamming planes is fun?
  17. You spin my head right round, right round. Like a record baby... NPO comes out in force to try and discredit their "ally" while promoting the idea they are just a victim. Good on you guys for the effort but I think many of us can see through it. No matter what you try and say your actions during this war has proven that no matter what BK is more important than anyone else. Your inability to see further down the line than a month at a time and your victim mentality means you will never be able to overcome your past. It is a shame. The more I read about this the more I realize that this is the same old song and dance just in a different place. It's kinda pathetic when you think about it. Good luck in the war you have no business being apart of and burning the few bridges you have left.
  18. Because it's a terrible idea. All this does is slow down new player growth since the best way to grow in this game is to join an alliance. With alliance banks being capped it means that the smaller member count alliances get bent over the table as bigger alliances have more access to cash thus being able to grow members faster. Sure, I could create a system where I have a bunch of member holding cash that restocks the bank when growing members but honestly this is a game not a job and I don't work that hard at my actual job. Another thing it makes raiding a waste of time.
  19. I understand the need for OpSec. I think that too much of the game is played or know by too few of the players. The leaking of war plans was good for the overall entertainment value of the game since it forced the "major" players to get out of the back channels and battle on the forums. I am by no means saying that their shouldn't be any OpSec but more just saying that we should allow more things to be push into the open. We create our own entertainment not Alex. So when someone lets say gets caught spying on an alliance call them out in the open so we can all see and enjoy. I know I'm a dreamer to actually think that we won't take this game personal or as serious business.
  20. It's not just the trash mechanics of the game or the look that keeps people away. We sort of need a cultural shift. Alliances put too much emphasis on "opsec" where if you aren't with the right crowd you will never know of the drama that could create a more entertaining experience. The steady flow of political intrigue is what got me hooked on other games in this genre.
  21. You should be. I find you to be one of the more reasonable posters and even though we may not agree on things I can understand where you are coming from. I can argue that it isn't at all what we have now and that this war has proven such. Yes, TKR and KETOGG have went down their own path but the Blob is alive and well. Maybe this war is what was needed to finally push alliances into doing their own thing, who knows. I am not referring to mirco leaders but more of alliances like Carthage, Soup, FARK and so on, that are not big enough to dictate the game in the current meta we play. Let's be honest here. Soup would have zero voice in this game without being apart of CHAOS. Since Chaos is a small sphere it allows us to have the ability to impact the game and help make decisions. Whereas, an alliance like Carthage which is in orbit of BK's massive sphere doesn't have the same voice that we do. I am sure there are exemptions to the norms but if years of playing these online sandboxes have taught me anything it's that big fish decide the rules. I also think that in order for this game to truly survive the test of time is that we need to allow "new players" into the grand game. They aren't as jaded as us old men and are much more willing to try something "new". I spent some time in the mirco world and it is in some ways the more interesting part of the game due to the willingness to take risk. The players like Sketchy that troll these new alliances forgets that the reason many of them exist is due to the meta of the game being locked into the elite few. It's basically an old boys club where if you don't cuddle up and play nice to them than you are trash. Alliances that protect these mircos shouldn't be doing it solely for the reason of building subordinate future allies but to teach young alliances how to be effective so they can become useful members to the community as a whole. Not just to the parent alliance. If your former protectorate chooses to do it's own thing and challenge you than you should take satisfaction in knowing that you actually done your job. What makes NPO's entrance into the war so wrong is that it actually hurt your strategic position. It doesn't make sense to enter a war you had no business being in that would have weakened 3 of the 4 major blocs. You guys would have had at least 3 months to strengthen your position plus would have effectively sold Chaos along with KETOGG on your willingness to play a different type of game which most likely have ensured your safety both long and short term.
  22. Long time fan, first time quoter here. The reason why bipolarity is so bad is that it leads to stagnation as "weaker" leaders line up with the "bigger" bloc. This allows them safety without actually having to play the FA portion of the game. When the world divides into various blocs, with various interests, it forces alliances to play the grand game instead of piggie backing on the hard work of alliances like BK, NPO, TKR and so on. The idea around it is that with there being so many self interests at play that it would lead to more drama, intrigue and conflict. Not necessarily war for the sake of war but actual politics. This would be the fun most of us are talking about. Something that this game truly lacks since you can basically tell how each war will play out long before it actually kicks off. (Sides wise) The other big problem I have with a bipolar world is that it places the whole game on a few key figures instead of allowing even small alliance leaders the opportunity to create their own path. Too much of this game is decided by a too few people which hurts the entertainment level the average member gets from it. Look how quiet the forums were before this war as evidence to support my claim. What strategic position do you guys really have in an endless sandbox where entertainment is created solely by the player base? Wars are not that devastating since all you lose is some time and cheap infra. All you are doing is enabling stagnation with this illusion of protection. I hope I explained my opinion well enough.
  23. Still waiting on that billion you said Rado was going to send me. He is really taking his sweet time...
  24. Congratulations on the peace and good luck with the rebuild.
