  1. No worries, he's can't spin in his grave, the maggots are doing their job. You are also looking at this from the wrong perspective. If you attack someone without a treaty it will be viewed much differently than attacking them through oDP. Plus these are stepping stone treaties. Congrats to Rose and RoK. I always feel that a relationship progresses more naturally through a oDP/protectorate than straight to MDP.
  2. Congrats to y'all! Dude, they've been friends for a very long time. Pretty sure TKR's warchest would barely be dented by our irradiated pin pricks anyway. Keep posting, Kastor. These forums need people of all viewpoints.
  3. OP posts an image of an Anti-Semitic douche bag and proves Fark's point for them, lol. No, James is actually a left-wing extremist. It's not a mask. He's constantly spewing out left-wing nonsense like gun control. He keeps no soldiers in his nation. And then, before I drop-kicked my monitor, he told me that he wanted to raise taxes on the richest nations in Alpha. Sad!
  4. It was more of a "food for thought" comment. And I think the example is quite applicable here. Is it identical? Of course not, that's why it's an analogy. The irony is what the gun-man did was counterproductive, it gave conservatives something to talk about and it was a distraction from the worsening situation for Trump. Of course Trump quickly tweets attention back to himself, like clockwork. If the Revolutionary War had not been successful, it would've been hugely counterproductive to getting more tax representation, more freedom, etc. We'd have been under much harsher rule for a very long time, who knows how world history would've progressed. We would've been punished no doubt as a country. (maybe part of the reason some were loyalists?) I'm a bit more interested in the fact this guy was misogynist angry woman beater, assaulting his own daughter and yet he wasn't brought up on felony charges which would've removed his right to have a gun. Clearly he had a lot of hate and shouldn't have been allowed to own semi-automatic guns, let alone any gun. (I know ZOMG dont' take my guns!!!!!111!!!) I think we/Americans don't do a good job of being empathetic - putting ourselves in other people's shoes, really hearing an opposing perspective. It's part of the reason there is so much division right now, congress is nearly 50/50 for each party, yet because it's "Republican controlled' there isn't any desire to compromise. If it were like 80/20, sure push through the 80% viewpoint. But it's so 50/50 clearly our country values the ideals of both the left and the right vs. one side over the other.
  5. This is a question that's been brought up a few times by outsiders, and I'm not sure why. Nuke Bloc isn't a isolation bloc. NK has out an outside tie, and Fark-Alpha have some more informal ties as well. WTF's Rose treaty wasn't even brought up in discussions to my knowledge. Much like when we formed Nuke Bloc, the NK-TKR treaty didn't influence our bloc's formation, other than it was a incentive to get to know TKR a bit more. I think maybe the reason is our playstyle/focus has been a bit different than most, historically, and that gives the impression we are iso, but that's never been the case nor would I want it to be. What Nuke Bloc stands for is total devotion to the defense of each other....almost by the very nature of nukes, a defensive minded weapon/deterrent. NK and Fark have been there for Alpha and I live for the day when Alpha can defend them win or lose, a favor they know they can cash at any point in time, no questions asked. That now extends to WTF. If WTF needs help, they will not need to ask. They will immediately hear from me asking when they want help. No "treaty activation" will even be required.
  6. I'm not voicing any support for this. But imagine if this guy was trying to kill the British over tax issues.
  7. I feel like of all the alliances you could raid, Mensa shouldn't be anywhere near top of that list.
  8. Welcome WTF! Good to get this done. o7 Nuke Bloc
  9. This discussion on warfare based on economics is giving me PTSD. Okay, now I'm in the fetal position asking for mommy. (Apeman)
  10. Hehe, love you guys. Go Fark. May all our farms declare bankruptcy. There was a major war? I thought the nuke gods were just blessing us with cheap uranium, gas, and aluminum because we had pleased them so greatly with our stockpiles of radiation.
  11. For the best. I'm pretty flexible on what people want to RP, even if I disagree with it IRL, but they went too far. Dat flag tho....that was a pretty strong indication along with the arm-bands.
  12. I'm sure you have good reason to do this Pangui, probably for the best. Best of luck to you UPN.
  13. Fraggle do you have your original list of the first nukes you bought and named? Brings back memories. I might buy a few names for old times sake. See you on discord.
  14. I feel like it reads simply, "Don't help out & don't aid. Everything else is just because game mechanics make it very hard to oversee and enforce that. So all the boilerplate is completely justified and not an attempt to push harsh terms. Makes sense to me and interesting to see how terms are evolving to accomplish objectives.
  15. Because the market-side of this game is so interesting to a lot of people, I greatly support mixing up the supply/demand curve for resources, as we did with food. I've wondered if a global mechanic couldn't be put in place where as more people produce a resource, the amount, for example, an iron mine produces, goes down. Less people have an iron mine up and that resource produces more.
  16. Caecus, have you no respect for the man who just gave the greatest commencement speech ever?

Apeman could teach us a few things about riding missiles.
  18. As an apostle for the nuke gods I will try to speak towards this. The nuke gods are slow to anger, quick to listen, and very forgiving to those who abstain from every form of douchebaggery. With every nuke, I grow closer and closer to my desired state of a complete irradiated being.
  19. A Fraggle cause is a cause we can all believe in. I can pledge $1m.
  20. I appreciate the comments and best of luck to you IRL. I hope the other CS government have come to a the same perspective now that the shoe is on the other foot. While neither is right or wrong, losing a war tends to either embolden a nation who learns and grows from it or cause that nation to just give up, not wanting to play after such a score setback. It's for this reason usually you find out if the game is for you only after losing, not winning.
  21. I have no respect for someone who couldn't face the situation they created. And I think I'm somewhat of an expert in facing a large amount of dislike/shitposting. It's just part of gameplay and politics, nothing to take personal. He should've just come out and dropped his 25 or so nukes like a man, done some damage and had some fun, then deleted if he was too busy to play. Then at least he's have saved a bit of face for himself and CS. Or maybe even helped CS/allies out by telling them they could include peace terms that included a war on LPS.
  22. This pleases the nuke gods very much. As his apostle, his message of radiation has been seen in all tall cities over the world overlooking the irradiated prairie.
  23. Is Inq looting quite a bit from those pinned down nations? How much of the economic damage is mitigated by the loot they are taking? I know ex-TEst nations bragged about how much loot they were taking before they disbanded. But not trolling, I'm genuinely curious.
  24. I think the biggest issue is his constant lying about the real reasons he's hitting VM. I would have less issue if he just admitted he was a bank. Bank/whale nations have their roles in this game. And as a former #1 nation I will admit that it's very freeing to lose all your infra. This isn't a game for pixel huggers, it's a game of brutal destruction, but with a generous firewall against total destruction (cities/land).
  25. The biggest reason we kept fighting was to make it clear that an attack on Alpha wouldn't be a short war, but a prolonged nukefest. I think that point was made effectively. Plus we had enough resources to keep nuking and most of us were really enjoying the updeclare nukings from low infra. As for this war, I'd be interested to see a nation count and score that includes only the Syndi-TKR side that was in range of the Inq side now. Or maybe downdeclare plus 500-1000 score for sell-downs. I think that number is a big reason why peace/reps hasn't happened.
