  1. o/ Peace o/ 20k in lost infra
  2. Enter Shikari, with classics like Solidarity, and System... ...Meltdown, with lyrics like "Illness is not an indulgence which you should pay for, Nor is it a crime for which you should be punished." heck yes socialist propaganda
  3. Yeah the average income is related to tax rate, but then it cancels out so you get (1+ [commerce/50])(725/1000) per citizen (they should put the factorised form on the wiki). So it's purely cosmetic and thus could be removed from the revenue page and just added to the factbook.
  4. I quite like this as a small addition just to spice things up. Could be a bit of duplication with perks and military improvements or whatever, but yeah this would work nicely as a simple change.
  5. In all my letters, I try harder than anything else to make myself clear. I try to state things as simply and unambiguously as I can because I find that that's the best way to convince my readers that Holy Guardian Stormrideron has worn out his welcome. Whoa! Don't stampede for the exits! I promise I'll get to the main topic of this letter, Stormrideron's beggarly cajoleries, in just a few sentences. I simply feel it's important first to provide some additional context by mentioning that recidivism doesn't work. So why does Stormrideron cling to it? Whenever that question is asked, Stormrideron and his spinmeisters run and hide. I suspect that that's precisely what they're going to do now so as to avoid hearing me say that people tell me that it distresses me deeply that Stormrideron's disloyal collaborators can cast votes that count just as much as mine. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. Some of us have an opportunity to come in contact with shiftless jobbernowls on a regular basis at work or in school. We therefore may be able to gain some insight into the way they think, into their values; we may be able to understand why they want to move increasingly towards the establishment of a totalitarian Earth. Stormrideron frequently comments about how sin is good for the soul. This fabricated mythology inculcates in predaceous degenerates the belief that students should be molded into “change agents†to promote Stormrideron's vulgar, smarmy agenda. In sooth, what they should be learning is that Stormrideron's belief is that we should cease to talk about “vague and unreal†objectives such as human rights, the raising of living standards, and democratization. Instead, we should be devising increasingly dour ways to use psychological tools to trick us into doing whatever Stormrideron requires of us. That's Stormrideron's opinion. My opinion is that he would have us believe that he is a tireless protector of civil rights and civil liberties for all people. Yeah, right. And I also suppose that mercantalism brings one closer to nirvana? The fact of the matter is that his crime syndicate is a sterile bubble of warlordism. Everyone inside the bubble wants to diminish society's inducements to good behavior. In contrast, everyone outside the bubble agrees that the basal lie that underlies all of Stormrideron's peevish, pudibund analects is that lying is morally justifiable as long as it's referred to as “strategic deceptionâ€. Translation: The best way to serve one's country is to envelop us in a nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror. I doubt you need any help from me to identify the supreme idiocy of those views, but you should nevertheless be aware that I've observed at least one of Stormrideron's accomplices causing an increase in disease, antiheroism, crime, and vice. This is absolutely indicative of the unprofessional, ungracious, and unacceptable behavior that is so endemic to Stormrideron's retinue. Stormrideron wants to produce an army of mindless insects who will obey his every command. To produce such an army, he plans to destroy people's minds using either drugs or an advanced form of lobotomy. Whichever approach he takes, as our society continues to unravel, more and more people will be grasping for straws, grasping for something to hold onto, grasping for something that promises to give them the sense of security and certainty that they so desperately need. These are the classes of people Stormrideron preys upon. In short, you can hear the crwth's fremescent clangor every time Holy Guardian Stormrideron tries to shout direct personal insults and invitations to exchange fisticuffs.
  6. Or landing versus impacting. I had a rover's skycrane run out of fuel about 1km off the surface once. Was not pretty. Having got a station in my current stage as I restarted my career and have no docking ports yet
  7. Greetings comrade! Oh wow, you must have had some hella funds to get to 5 cities in 40 days. Costs $20,623,242.60 to buy 5 cities with 1000 infra and 1500 land (with the best gov types), so you would have spent around that.
  8. Of course someone could use a VPN, log in a differing times of day, stagger nation creation, separate them into a puppet alliance(s) and some into real ones just to grow them off loans and grants, and through a longwinded system of trades, bank transfers, and raids, transfer money to the 'alpha' nation(s). This would be nigh undetectable with enough effort and this change will not stop this. But really a cheater would need to be completely obsessed to do this, and this change should easily block the simplistic cheating. We may ever be able to stop multi abuse, but we can certainly keep making it harder and harder. Also yeah, maybe some kind of expiry cause dynamic ips and such. But considering how unlikely this is, you could have it as like 3 month or more.
  9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Australia Basically, proof of identity, serial numbers registered, over 18, 28 days waiting period for the licence, and must have a genuine reason (does not include self-defense) I do believe these laws had an effect, even if it was more due to the cultural change after Port Arthur and the buyback. The best point I can really make is that the Lindt cafe hostage crisis in Sydney was done with pre-1996 guns. But I mean it's hard to compare Australia and the US, we are two very different countries in terms of culture and values ("fair shake of the sauce bottle mate" -Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister), and my personal belief is that looking solely at access is ignoring part of the problem. That being said, citizens don't need access machine guns and automatic shotguns.
  10. You are a: Communist Totalitarian Multilateralist Bleeding-Heart Libertine Collectivism score: 100% Authoritarianism score: 83% Internationalism score: 67% Tribalism score: -100% Liberalism score: 83% Which is odd, cause I did the political compass a while back and gt like -10 left, -8.92 lib, so idk where all that authoritarianism came from. Perhaps I should redo the political compass
  11. What are you on about mate, Rose is basically dictatorship under glorious Emperor Cailou. I mean the charter has democratic elements to it, but in practise these serve more as guidelines. The most obvious example is the charter states we must elect an Emperor, but in practise most of the Emperors have just been picked by the previous one, usually stepping up from the position of Regent. Cailou was elected, and Angelus might have been but I can't remember. Electing or Impeaching the Emperor is the only real democratic part of Rose, all power belongs to the Emperor, and the Lords Cabinet through powers granted by the Emperor. For reference as Emperors we've had Pubstomper (Cailou I) -> Angelus -> Kurdnak -> Keegoz -- Election > Cailou II The Emperor holds basically absolute power, but the system works because of the culture of Rose.
  12. Well it is the first few minutes of the 22nd where I am, and there are various celebrations on this day due to Christmas and the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice is Tuesday btw. Rose is cool, we provide loans and grants for various needs, and give you your first 7 cities ABSOLUTELY FREE* + Starter grants for cities 1-3 *Must pledge your soul in to eternal service to Oblige for using bank funds
  13. Useful, but could be hard on the server/software side. Would need to store how much a person has withdrawn per day and all. Bank access should be based on trust, but who knows? Pub could go rogue and take the gazillions in the Rose bank.
  14. Looks good, but doesn't it belong here: https://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2630-project-suggestion-thread/ ?
  15. Seems like a good idea. I mean it could flood the timeline if people do it a lot, but really the timeline gets pretty flooded anyway.
  16. Rose is just returning to its blue roots
  17. Having it have a different name for trade offers would confused people and mess up messaging if they try and use anything other than the leader name. Factbook though...
  18. Mirroring that thread on the ksp forums: What have you done in KSP? --- Today I brought up the crew module for my mun station, it was a mark III crew storage thing (16 kerbals!). Docked with a senior port, has 6 nukes on it to change the orbit later (I put it retrograde...). I also landed my minmus miner in the Greater Flat or something. Had an ore of 4.8% or something. The nearby midlands have like 7.1% but it's not flat. The conversion unit has glitched out and isn't letting my open it's context menu though. Then I started a design for a Duna plane thing with ore conversion to do every biome, like in "Duna Ore Bust". I don't have aerospikes though. I also got up to date on "Eve: Order Zero"
  19. Yeah, it's a good idea, but it's also possible to extrapolate off current and previous records. You do get the occasional bit of rounding error though (NEVER try and work out alliance wide revenue from a 1% tax rate)
  20. https://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6496-natural-disasters/ ?
  21. An interesting idea, but having hurricanes be based upon how close you are to the ocean is a bad idea, we shouldn't allow the mechanics to disadvantage players based upon RP. It could be balanced by making whether a hurricane hits you or an earthquake purely cosmetic based upon location (after all, earthquakes are less extreme near the ocean as energy is lost in the water)
