Jebediah is still, as far as we know, getting interstellar technologies stabilized and improved so that Orbis does not seem like 50 years away. Aliens: you never know when aliens invade Orbis... that being said we are yet to discover sentient life forms outside of Orbis... beside Kerbals on Kerbin and humans on Earth, that is. AI? I never thought about that honestly. In a world where AI becomes self-aware, and is misled into believing all people of Orbis would hunt it down, it would turn every AI factory against the people of Orbis, and the world will fall apart.
