This is so true. Not to mention the organised mass rapes, boiling infants alive, using people for bayonet practice, giving starving children food infected with various diseases and the dreaded Unit 731. Ever since I became aware of it, I have always believed the fact that General MacArthur granted the physicians and the leader of Unit 731 immunity in exchange for what they had learned from their experiments, was a grave injustice towards the people who's lives were ruined by that unit. Compared to the trials the Germans went through after the end of the Second World War, the Japanese got off incredibly easy. I agree, at least the Germans owned up to what they did and attempted to distance themselves from everything National Socialist. The fact that the Japanese even attempt to deny their actions in the first place is baffling to me, considering the undeniable amounts of evidence that speaks against them. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese government put more pressure on them in that regard as they climb higher up on the international stage. My list would probably be: 1. Imperial Japan 2. With the legions of dead he created, along with how many of his own that he got killed, I would say that if hitler is not allowed, stalin and mao should be right there with him. In my opinion, Stalin was worse. He killed his owned people because he wanted to take their land and wealth. It's far worse to murder your own people out of greed than to murder other people out of hatred,IMO. But, if any evil dictators are allowed at all, then they should all be allowed. It's idiotic to debate whether or not certain despots were not as evil as others. Evil is evil. If you want to ban historical despots, fine, but do not cherry pick which ones were the worst. I would like to see all of them allowed. It's stupid to ban a name, especially when players are still allowed to RP as those types of leaders. Stalin was not a slave of greed, he was a very complex character and his goals were much larger and grandiose than simply accumulating money for himself. Don't tell me you're one of those people that believe Socialists and Communists only want to steal the wealth of the rich for themselves, that is just ignorant nonsense born from a lack of understanding of the ideologies in question. I really dont think the family of the people murdered by ISIS deserve to have it fluanted around in front of their lives. On that note I really dont see how a war that happened 70+ years ago is not ok to talk about but the one ragging right now is "cool" to talk about and emulate. The war happening right now is fresh and the other war is old, and taught in schools. Almost all the people who faught in that war is dead now due to old age. When can we let it go? I happen to find a few names and flags to be offensive, do I complain? How can anyone say anything without pointing the finger at the collective and not single out one war or mass murder specifically. Maybe change the rules to include a part that states no real ruler names, or real countries. Communism is just a corrupted version of socialism, in the same way that corporatism is a corrupted version of capitalism. Most of the countries we see as communist (China, Cuba, etc) are not really communist. They are a mixture of socialism and capitalism which favors the state over private businesses, but still allows them.
