  1. In what has been described as a vastly coordinated attack, a number of bombs were set off in the Belrunean capital of Belrunapolis today, killing 1300, and injuring more 10000. Injuries vary from scrapes and bruises, to broken bones, and severe brain and other injuries. The attack has been credited on the Sons of God, a far right Christian group which, until now, has only take part in peaceful, yet very vocal, protests. The leader of the Sons of God, former minister Aiden Meayse took credit for the attack, claiming that it was retaliation for blatant attacks on the rights of Belrunean Christians by the government. In an internet blog, the SOG cited several examples of how Christians have been persecuted and attacked in Belrune, from prohibitions on official prayers as part of government functions, to the dropping of Christmas as an official state holiday. President Bob of Belrune addressed the nation, and the world... "The purposely attacks on civilians, for any reason is unacceptable. The Sons of God are nothing but cowards who believe they have the right to force their religious beliefs on other people through force. We will not rest until every single member of the SOG is either dead, or in prison. They have been declared enemies of the state. In edition, we will consider it a direct declaration of war on Belrune for any nation to harbor or protect members of the SOG. We will respond with full military force. As for the so called "reasons" for the attacks, the rights of Christians have in no way shape or form been infringed up by the our government. We prohibit prayer from being part of official government functions because we hold our government to be a secular one, not belonging to any single religion, or religion in general. We do not interfere in any way shape or form in private prayers of government workers or students in public schools. As for he dropping of Christmas as a state holiday, Christmas is a solely Christian holiday. As such, it is not proper to recognize it as a state holiday in a secular nation. We do not prohibit the celebration of Christmas in government offices, by those who wish to take part, but simply deny official recognition, and prohibit tax funds from being used to arrange these celebrations. The Sons of God are Christian supremists who wish for them and their beliefs to be considered above the law. They murder innocent people not because they are being persecuted, but because they are not allowed to force their faith on others."
  2. The Republic of Belrune, while, as an island nation, is not in any direct danger from mainland zombies, shall send military aid, and supplies, and helecopters to evacuate survivors to any nation who asks.
  3. While Belrune does support a people's right to revolt, the terrorist actions of the Foxburon rebels, and their attacks on civilian targets can not be tolerated. Belrune denounces the Foxboron rebels as terrorists.
  4. A small nation may be willing to allow themselves to be occupied for protection, giving up some revenue in exchange for the security of having a more power nation's troops supporting it's own. It happens all the time in RL.
  5. We could also add a positive aspect of being under occupation. Perhaps the occupying nation has the option of defending the nation. If the nation is attacked, the occupation forces would be then added to the defending forces. You could even allow a nation to allow itself to be occupied in order to get assistance in attacks. Many nations do that as part of Mutual Defense Treaties. The US has all sorts of bases in Japan and Europe. You could call those authorized occupations.
  6. How about you only have a 20% chance of occupying, and you can not occupy the same nation twice with a certain amount of time. That would prevent more powerful nations from simply attacking the same nation over and over and occupying them.
  7. The Republic of Belrune neither condones, nor condemns the action of the Foxburon rebels.
  8. When you defeat a country cleanly in batter, with 6 immense triumphs, you get the option of occupying them. You set a certain number of ground forces as occupation forces, meaning they can not be used in other wars. You can occupy a country for up to 5 days. They can attack your occupation forces, and if they earn a certain amount of victories, they can break the occupation, but if they lose a certain number of victories, the occupation is extended. You can add a certain amount of soldiers and tanks to your occupation forces each day.
  9. How is a nation based on Christian any better than a communist one. Communism prohibits religion, and Christianity prohibits religious freedom. Belrune holds to he ideal that all people have the right to worship whichever god they wish, or to worship no god at all..
  10. Do you think there are zoos in Africa? If there are, I bet they have animals we think are mundane. Zoos filled with rabbits, and dogs, and racoons.

  11. Due to a lack of recruits, the International Confederation of Nations has been hisbanded.
  12. Does anyone else find it ironic that part of the agreement is that GPA allows themselves to be attacked without defending and beiged? Why not just a simple truce to end ungoing wars?
  13. The Republic of Belrune announced today plans to hold an fair and festival to celebrate the cultural and ethnic diversity within it's population. The World Unity Festival, as the event shall be called, shall include games, music, dances, and foods from all over the world, as well as rides, contests, and a showcase of technologies and other advancements from around the world. Belrune invites all nations to come and take part in the festivities.
