I did, because I can do it while at work. If you had noticed, I only log in to pnw game twice a day, or thrice, when I feel like it. And you only see me on irc during America's midnight. That's because that's about the only time I can play a game. But this thread is about a bug/oversight, not how long I can spend with an online game .

I already tried since this afternoon, which would be something like middle of the night in Europe and east America. I couldn't go into vacation mode because of the bug. I thought it was because of some kind of firewall at work or something, which was why I put it off until I got home. When the announcement came, I tried again at home, which didn't work because of the bug/oversight. It wasn't a spur of the moment thing, you know. EDIT: Didn't I already mention this in the OP and the feature request topic?

So what do you expect me who can't spare the time to fight a war until Christmas do?

I received a "You did not enter the correct password." Like how many password do I have? I've checked caps and such that is normally done if you think you entered the wrong password, but it's not working. Have also tried: Logging out and back in - no difference Logging into pnw using another browser - no difference Restarting the computer - still no difference I'm confident this is a bug. How many times can I screw up entering the password of a game I play everyday? Unless, the password for vacation mode is different? EDIT: I found the cause. It's because I haven't changed my password when the system asked for it in the same announcement as the introduction of vacation mode. But hell, I already got declared by one of them because of this delay.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with Rahl and PigInZen but in this one, I have to agree with them. Some of us really do have more important things to do that to fight a war. This is a game, real life is where you need to focus on. This game makes neither money nor further our lives. I am getting married in a couple of months. I've been debating whether to join the war or not. I can still join the war right now if I want to, as I can pretend like I'm not busy and let my mother do all the work. But it's my wedding, and if I don't make it work, then who can? I can't keep checking my phone or laptop every couple of hours to launch an attack when I should be preparing for my wedding, and I don't want to walk up the aisle while airstriking Buorhann. This I already mentioned in IRC chat, but I doubt any of my opponents will allow me to remain safe until the war ends. So I had to go to vacation. The fact that I don't know exactly when my alliance will be at war is important, because I can't declare vacation 2 weeks in advance when it could be possible that we won't be at war until next month. Sure, I can go into vacation for 3 months but if I do, everyone will be ahead of me by then. EDIT: In other words, it's my business when I want to go to vacation. If I break an arm today or I need to go to Taiwan tomorrow, or just that I don't have the time to fight in a war, then I have every right to go on a vacation without prior approval or queue.

In my opinion it is kind of broken, though I'm not high tier, so my opinion may be flawed. In support of the OP, I'd say at higher tier, the declare range should be 50% above and 20% under for maybe nations with over 2000NS. 40% above and 10% under for those nations over 5000NS.

OOC = I have. I also suffered through 19 pages of this thread. My point stands. Just because someone else started it, there is no need to follow suit. Besides, the OP's original post can be interpreted as IC butthurt over OOC acts, which is quite acceptable in my book. It's when Piginzen tell the story of how he's 47, has twin children and expects readers to accept that he is supposed to have a higher authority because he's older and has a 'respectable life' that I can't accept. Even I have used OOC justification to attack another IG in another game. My justification was "Jolly Rodger stole my cookies", which he did during lunch the previous day. If you are old enough as you claim to be, then be mature about it. Take the high ground and don't stoop to their level. Respect the division between IC and OOC in a game section dedicated for IG accounts. If you are an adult, then act like an adult. EDIT: I hope nobody else starts an OOC mention here. I will not respond to anymore OOC baiting here. If you can't tell the difference between IC and OOC, then stick to the areas where it's not as strictly expected.

This. I was about to comment on Piginzen's posting real life stories in an IC section too. Piginzen, dude, you're ranting, using real life facts to gain sympathy. Do that in another section of the forum. This is not the place, don't pile it up just because others started it. I know it's hard to act, but at least try to avoid bringing real life into an IC section. I once almost got myself warned for someone else posting OOC stuff in IC section and my comment of "I pray for your death" was misunderstood as an OOC attack simply because the OP mentioned he got cancer or something, when my remark was entirely IC (ie. I wish you got piled on continuously). People need to learn the difference between IC and OOC. Not posting OOC stuff in IC section is a start.
