Politics and War Alliance Government Survey

Greetings! This was literally a shower thought I had.

I was busy thinking about why others might want to go into government work in this game. It can be very stressful, to the point where it can have IRL ramifications. So, in order to learn more, I thought I would make a Google Form for government members from all across the game to share their thoughts and reasons. I'll go over the results on the next Thalmor Radio this Friday.

The form asks for your nation ID, and the names of the alliances you were a part of. This is completely optional. The rest, however, I do ask that you complete in full.

Being an Option 6 in gov would be a fun new experience.

A game dies without a community.
Don't hate on the communities trying to grow.
Eat them instead.

I filled out the form with legitimate answers. This actually seems like an intriguing topic, so I hope you get a variety of genuine responses from the community.

I feel like half the players in government out there shouldn't answer this, but then again, it'd be interesting to see what they put down.

I'm sad you feel that way buddy!

I always felt the opposite, personally: I couldn't wrap my head around how people actively enjoyed this game without the additional staff/low/high gov/leadership stuff added in.

That's why I'm always advocating for systems that are the most inclusive: Democracies, senates, councils, staff, etc. This game is very empty without the community element imo.

I'm in this camp too, I just am a different flavor than you. I couldn't imagine playing this game without the extra interaction for my alliance or the wider community. Even if I may not want to toil over spreadsheets and organizing new players into trad- tec- rai- playing the game, I still want to hear about the meat & potatoes of econ/military/IA/foreign affairs. I don't necessarily need a democracy, if I can just hear about what's going on, give my 2 cents, and marvel at the organization, then hop over to watch the mud slinging.

It almost makes me uncomfortable to come across players who just exist and play, and don't do anything else. Like I'm trapping them here. Are they having fun?
