Oops.

I just don't see a point in this. It seems to be irrelevant and would not bring anything to the gameplay experience.

It would improve RP in the in-game arena and foster political rivalries and activities. If you've played (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) in the past you know there was a long-running rivalry, many wars and a whole lot of drama and intrigue between the socialist/leftist alliances on one side and the nationalist/traditionalist alliances on the other. In that game it actually added a lot of fun and interesting dynamics. I don't see any harm in "officializing" it.

Not everything has to add gameplay. Like, whats the factbook good for besides RP?

I like the idea.

We have seized the means of production. Though union, and self-governance, we have organized between all peoples of the land.

This would add an interesting blast of real life to the game. Hard leftists could join with each other, left leanings such as me in another alliance, hard right wingers in another alliance.... might even expect to see some declarations of war based on ideology soon. But how about not making it so drastic and instead just put in an option to declare an alliance ideology in game?

Well, it doesn't have to be the old right v left, it could be anything, secular v theocratic, republican v monarchical, liberal v authoritarian, etc.

Chairman Kolarov (Generał Jaruzelski) makes a great suggestion considering the plethora of new ideologies now part of the game.

We need to make the game more political rather than some silly extension of internet humour. If you need this internet humour go elsewhere, this is a political simulator.

Donate 2 credits for custom alliance religions. Comon Sheepy I see some easy money here.

I suppose this idea would somewhat be cool if it's an option. Not some forced thing you have to do.

I don't see the point. If people can opt out, it's a handicap that can easily be overcome by just requiring members to be ostensibly of X or Y political persuasion. If not, it hinders politics.

Minor footnotes between a handful of tiny alliances. No major war was ever really fought based on that shit.

All that would happen is that alliance's would have "Change your government type to X" and people would do it because they were already willing to all go autocracy before, why would they all change their minds now?

Although "Change your government type to "Metro's slave realm" would be a hilarious requirement >.>

TheNG - My favorite part is when Steve suggests DEIC might have done something remotely successful, then gets massively shit on for proposing such a stupid idea.
