  1. It's especially funny because I haven't been involved in a global in like 18 months, and he just was, and his side was literally referenced by me on how beige baiting is an objective paired with others in a single action, lol.
  2. Yeah I'm gonna be real here, if you think beige baiting "is and always has been against the rules" you 1. have no idea what it is or how it actually works and 2. have no earthly idea on this games actual history, moderation or wars. Firstly, beige baiting only really works if they have a reason to do it. Only the absolute most clueless of players will beige you if you have no military and don't do anything. Which is nobody to get beiged does this! Shocking, I know! So here's how ya do it. Find your target. Less experienced players are better, so you'll typically look for maximum down declares. Your double buys are also a lot more dangerous to them (though with the counters that'll come it won't kill the lil guy if they're active) but it can cause them to panic and give them reason to beige you. Nukes work great too, and missiles in low tier if they don't have ID. If possible, you want to also select someone whose war history is filled with tossing out beige. Now if you're sitting here and thinking to yourself "Gee, isn't this behavior like... EXACTLY what eclipse was doing last war?" That's because it is. It's literally just routine down declare guerilla fighting and nuke turreting. Or in layman's terms, it's a "Two birds, one stone" situation. Anybody who declares with nothing and does nothing isn't baiting for beige because there's no reason to give them any. They're just a muppet slotfilling. Nevermind that this tactic and objective only exists because of beige mechanics to begin with, meaning of course if you fixed them, this tactic would, by nature if the fix is anything remotely good, not only be impossible, but also completely unnecessary. And of course, the practice has been around since beige has. Nobody has ever been striked for it. Because, again, it's identical to guerilla fighting when KOd, since, as it turns out, you can actually pursue multiple objectives with one course of action. Tl;dr - If your changes actually work, beige baiting won't really be a thing anymore, because it won't be necessary. You literally don't need to do anything but the basic task the community already assigned for this one, just chill and focus on the rest. Voted 6, because there was no "this is a laughable waste of time" option.
  3. That's... That's literally what RNG is. You're just expanding it to add even more unpredictability, particularly to updeclares, which is stupid as already pointed out. If you don't even understand how that's RNG I think maybe the team needs to be reshuffled, honestly.
  4. I find it very funny people are voting for more RNG. I seriously hope it doesn't take a super genius on the design team to realize actually doing that will result in everyone raising pitchforks about it 6 months later because everyone already !@#$es about the RNG that does exist.
  5. This is a weird post addressing something almost no alliance actually does. Some have voluntary growth circles that use 100/100. That's about it. Those that have existed in the past who used 100/100 all the time didn't exactly keep a secret to people applying, either. Anyone in an alliance using permanent 100/100 is there because they want to be, honestly, making this post even weirder again.
  6. Then, honestly, I think you've got the wrong focus here. You're yelling at them, criticizing them for leaving these spaces, but as far as my memory serves every single of one of these groups, at one point in the past during just my history in the game was once around and participated in such spaces. Not as much as others, but more than they do today, and there doesn't seem to be any acknowledgement for why they leave these places. Your theory seems to be it's proof of internal decay, while observation from the POV of these parties reveals it to be proof that they don't want to be in these places, because, frankly, they are toxic. They're toxic, because the community is. Always has been, honestly, to what varying degrees at what varying times you can argue at your leisure, but it seems to me every notable party whose ever withdrawn like this has fairly similar reasoning, going all the way back to IQ, who I daresay, probably wouldn't have gone on such a paranoid trip if they were more connected to the wider community. But the old is like new, those spaces were often if not always predisposed to hostility towards them. And all these parties have one thing in common too - they don't play by or bend over to try and uphold the agreed upon at that time meta. That has multiple meanings in its own right, but it's the connecting through thread. As someone who disconnected from all these spaces herself, over two years ago now, I can't blame them for it. It's a lot more peaceful without, and I've filled the time I would've spent in those spaces doing things much more enjoyable. I assume these folks have as well, cause even of those who do participate actively in those spaces, I haven't found or seen much disagreement from them about that toxicity.
  7. Yeah I was thinking this too. Plus it was over the course of nearly a year? Exam season isn't all year around and if this was supposedly an ongoing thing being handled the fact what is, as borg is increasingly showing, an incredible litany of errors, none of which were spotted over that time...? Yeah no, honestly, this just makes HS's CB better. Im not sure why people think they need to respond. Here I thought people celebrated when incompetence was punished with a whacking, but it seems that only applies to micros and 'alliances' like WTF and Polaris. Even if 8b is still an off figure, well, I guess I'll just consider it the fee for royally fricking up, because those exist in the real world to on top of the initial paddling itself. Good to see an actual CB used for once, thanks for that HS. And props to CTO for trying what I assume was their best for a response, even though I don't think it was very good, public opinion seems to disagree with me right now lol.
  8. Projects have already been addressed as to why they aren't a real solution. Food consumption already does increase in wars. Furthermore, wars tend to be basically over after the first round, with the loser only suffering infra losses after and tossing nukes out. This is why there's such an obnoxious amount of refined resources, because war mechanics are broken and have been for years preventing war from acting as the resource sink it should be. Fees and resource decay and all that have been suggested before and shot down for various reasons I don't feel like going through a dozen old threads to explain.
  9. It's okay, I already cried the mandatory three hours when we decided this I won't anymore! Probably! ... We get overtime right?
  10. "I challenge these Alliances who aren't movers, to make an identity switch. Do something different." Soooo everyone? Maybe that's just my weird POV, I feel like basically everyone is too risk averse. I don't have the means to do my bullshit anymore either, but tbh that was only possible because I was a micro anyway. Even micros don't look like they're so much fun anymore. Maybe im just too big to enjoy them properly.
  11. This thread is really... Weird? Kinda pathetic? In the last 3 days it appears Cam and friends have dealt a whopping... 500m in damage. Averaging out to, with generous rounding, 167m of damage a day, it will take 179.6 days to equal damage already dealt to Camelot. Im just not really seeing what's here to propagandize over?
  12. The funny part about this suggestion is that in the real world suburbs are a literal noose to cities. They require more infrastructure and more upkeep for less people and less revenue, and their obsessive proliferation is responsible for the widespread bankruptcy and debt reliance of all but the largest cities in North America. Should make it a Re-urbanization or re-zoning thing, since medium and high density are actually better for revenue and taxes. But that's just me rambling about appropriate human-centric, fiscally sensible city planning. Also, exurbs aren't "city outskirts", Exurb is a fancy word for "rural". City outskirts go right into suburbs while exurbs are where all the farms I'd normally have would be and would sensibly add a food production bonus (as in more than they'd use) because they're generally farming communities like the Apple Town I live in outside this digital space.
  13. No you don't understand, we used the evil gay agenda to corrupt T$, so actually ASM totally controls t$ and we still have EC around so now all the top 3 are allied. We keep T$ capitalism themed so you don't think anything of it. Obviously. Only the brilliant Keegoz was able to catch us.
  14. No you don't understand, the regular requests were made by Pre himself, because nobody who actually plays the game wants this and literally everyone asked for it to be lowered.
  15. My man out here scoring own goals to dunk on Tarroc but only proves him right.
  16. My man be living in a fantasy world where people look to me for FA decisions instead of pulling lots for who gets to deal with me being angry at everything and venting for 45 minutes because I'm on record repeatedly as hating literally everything about this games politics. Y'all wanna make my dreams come true, just cancel all your treaties. I been dreaming of that since I yoinked pantheons bank, figured the swirling vortex of aimless chaos would be fun to watch. But nobody wants to do it and then asks me why I haven't made it happen yet like anybody sane listens to a lunatic who wants to light the world on fire. Do it yourself, you're the ones took my matches and Jerry can away.
  17. I mean, there absolutely is such a distinction, quit being an obtuse clown about it. The difference is one has military and mostly bullies micros, and the other has no military, is being beige cycled, and has the option of down declaring and double buying on you to do some damage or deleting their nation for choices of fun things to do. Yet you seem along with pre to be determined to push folks towards the latter.
  18. Shocking to me how many don't get the point here. That and the guy who thinks apparently Bots can see offshore transferring without having API of gov with bank access??? The point here is Borg is literally the biggest OPSEC breach ever just waiting to happen. "Oh but I know borg he's cool!!!!!!1!1!1!1!1!1" not the point here lads. The point here is this man is accountable to no one and has a big red button he can push to !@#$ all y'all. Why would he do it? Who knows? Who cares. The point isn't why, the point is he could, and there is literally nothing you can do about it. Giving even ally made tools this much information is already a pretty substantial trust fall in itself, this man ain't even an ally to all these folks, it's a straight up leap of faith. That, if you somehow didn't gleam it, is the actual point being made by Bour. You're playing with fire and hoping it stays content with not burning you. You're creating a risk for your alliance that you can't mitigate or control. Frankly, if you can't manage to run your own offshore, I think the problem is deeper in that you can't manage to run your own alliance to begin with.
  19. I know Changeup on RON missed them, don't know if you did as well, but Rose has RNR (namely Fenris at 52) and other c40s up to a c50 in Arkham Asylum. Just making sure, since it looks less awful for them than it is when you forgot those.
  20. @KingGhostSRD for the record is talking about a militarized c40 hitting a c20. Your counterargument is kinda worthless when you don't understand what he's talking about. He's not talking about me being zeroed and hitting c14s with 800 infra, nor is he talking about you being zeroed and hitting a c21 at normal peace time setup or even a militarized nation less than half your size. The main talking point of this change is scary whales hitting lower tiers with their full military. This is specifically talking about HoF in particular, who has been doing just that, hitting demilled people smaller than them because their targets are at peacetime infra and readiness and therefore are in range. If anything you're proving the earlier point I made about why this change, and in that same token your suggestions, are shit. Because the people getting !@#$ed aren't the winners, it's the losers. I had people VMing out of boredom and annoyance because there's nothing they could really do, the update time made double buying hard, you couldn't punch low enough to do much of anything useful before dying unless you were helping a little harpoon later in the war, and you just got cycled and ground attacked so you couldn't even have soldiers. This isn't enjoyable. I did not enjoy it. Both the suggestion made in this thread and your own, would make it worse. Everyone hated 100 city score for a reason. It meant a downed c30 with nothing was at worst, always in range of high 20s with max and barely scratched infra. Always. And could only hit as low as a 20. A c30 double isn't going to hurt a 20 very much. Even three of them wouldn't pose any serious or realistic threat. I only got that screwed when I double bought, which was still pretty bad, considering you frankly could've kicked me back down with a single c18 with no real trouble at all. None of this will appreciably affect the winning side of a war, and will utterly !@#$ over what little outside tossing one nuke a day the losers can do. You are, in essence, arguing that because HoF exists, all future defeated parties in a war should have truckloads of shit heaped upon them to fix a problem that doesn't need a mechanical solution. Because the only people doing this, the actual problem, of milled whales hitting mid tier, is HoF. And look, the rest of us have entire blocs. If it bothers us that much i think the solution is very simple to apply. It's just not cheap. And it's certainly not hamfisted poorly thought out suggestions to make this already overly-repetetive game more boring in the one aspect it's supposed to be entertaining in.
  21. Hun, you should REALLY read the OP again before you spout more nonsense. Its 50% of the percentage difference in cities which the OP makes VERY clear. Gven in your example, that's still a single digit number, but it's almost 3x greater, at 6.75%. But that still doesn't matter because if you bothered reading what anyone else is saying - particularly those about the losing sides prospects - you'd see the people blitzing (likely winners) are not the ones getting !@#$ed over here. I down declared and doubled on some c14s last war. Fun fact, my c32 double with PB is just a tiny hair over their max. 1050 vs 1056 sorta deal. As a sphere we used attacks like these to help the low tier press up into higher updecs where we had less alive nations, as the downed whales could temporarily have the planes to do the job. Of course the moment I did my ground and air double, I was bow in range of city 28s and the like, some of which still had over 2000 infra to go with their max military. I had about 800, by the way. So now, with your change, not only is that whole strategy useless as I would get a -22% on kills against the target, but the people I'm still forever in range of now get an extra bonus of... Oh hey it's our friend 6.75% again! That was an accident but a fun one in my quick calculator math. Edit: wrote this while on page two still I see this realization came about already, oops >.<
  22. Also wondering where the other (currently 😎 non VM members of ours went?
  23. Cute, but all the people in here opposing it are from Celestial. Try again.
  24. According to math, I'd have made 618,250 in profit back from it! Grumpy is in for it now, I'm hot in their heels!
