  1. Nothing beats BK and NPO going from each other's throats to steadfast allies.
  2. They should merge with NPO actually. The NPO-UPN treaty is arguably the turning point which brings UPN to where they are now.
  3. Nice to see multiple wars going on in parallel instead of one treaty clusterfrick.
  4. I'm always BK. Just waiting for @Yosodog and @LordStrum to bring me back to the Promised Land.
  5. UPN Logic. Rose attacked our allies. We retaliate by cancelling our treaty with Rose. Let's declare war on KT who didn't hit any of our allies. ??
  6. If you asked us a few months ago, no BK members who ever thought that we should sign NPO. However, signing NPO can indeed be seen as drastically changing the status quo; two bitter enemies allying months later. If you look at it, the chances of any other alliances on Syndisphere who would agree to allying NPO is pretty low. The inclusion of Zodiac is pretty much a foregone conclusion since they seems to be amicable to us from the very start of the proposal of Syndisphere splitting. I'd argue that the creation of the bloc was due to friendships/ideaology, a result of like-minded leaders coming together wanting to do something "different". This is talking solely about FA relations between leaders of alliances rather than strength of individual alliances. On the military side, it does indeed makes sense to sign NPO. They are reasonably good at wars compared to other alliances, Zodiac after the merger is also in a pretty good spot as a ally militarily Unfortunately, it did meant the consolidation of the mid tier. It does fit into BK's strength of dominating mid tier and up-declaring however, even though your upper tier is probably too large for our mid tier to defeat in a war. It is easy for us to look at the Syndisphere situation and decide which alliance should be in split up into the different spheres equally to make things more even, however, the human element will always come into play to distort things. The current result were choices the leaders and FA of different alliances decided. I may not like it but at the end of the day, it is just a game, we get to war with challenges despite the advantages each side have. I will just roll along with it.
  7. I think if we really wanted to start another World War, we would probably have looked into cancelling some treaties to prevent another dilemma of being two-sided again (t$/UPN). It was unfortunate that things turned out the way it has. The general consensus was to let things settle after the break up and possibly econ up to more upper tier. The escalation of tensions happened rather quickly in my opinion.
  8. We traded being dominant as a sphere in nearly all tiers to being dominant in only the mid tier in the name of "shaking things up" I don't like how we handled things with regards to Mensa and t$. I do believe we had missteps in handling relations and communications with them but ultimately, we accept that things can go wrong / blow out of proportions when you attempt to do something different from the status quo.
  9. I have no idea what the proposals were, but to imply that OO leaders (BK and CS in this case) are too scared to take and risks is laughable. The actions that both alliance took were so risky that it did indeed brought out another world war. In this case, it is more evident that TKR was the one who refused to take any risk that threatens its position.
  10. You are called the Animal Empire and you used the Merlion (Lion head, fish body) as your logo?
  11. We signed a treaty to an alliance with people who we could work with. We entertained the idea of the treaty because of our good relations with Resplendent. If overnight the people we could work with left, and we are left with a government who only has the courtesy to inform us of a treaty signing a day prior to it, you can expect us to nope our way out of it before it brings us trouble. BK was told about the treaty a day before. Our leader might have inclined to give it a go, but with a government that's a shell of what it was, and the revelation of the drama, we decided it was not in our interest to maintain the treaty. FA moves are made by good relations with individuals, not alliance in name. If we want to ally with names, we would ally the top 10 giant whales right from our incarnation. The last time someone informed us of a signing days before the signing, shit happened. BK also had the pleasure of keeping a treaty that was counterproductive to both alliance. You can be sure that we do not want such an episode to happen again.
  12. To hold the position of Supreme Leader and FA at the same time. What can go wrong?
  13. There is still 72 hours you're supposed to defend Sparta
  14. Oh nos. More consolidation. Congrats to Phoenix.
  15. I mean. It's cool that NPO is not considered a micro, since it's leading the shitty micros by 10k+? I get why you're in NPO now. It's tough to put pressure on people to do your things, so it's easier to control from inside?
  16. Not sure what dark times you are talking about. Maybe you need to pressure BK somemore?
  17. I do get it. I understand where you are coming from when you refuse to pay the amount of reps we ask for because of the precarious situation (arguably caused by yourselves) you guys are in. The point is, you guys are directly responsible for smashing "our car", irregardless of whatever amount you think you should pay, our government is going to decide how much they think they should be compensated, and they are going to push for it however they want. I won't comment on the condescension, since both side are guilty and it is the way things are done around here. Your stance of refusing to pay the large amount of reps is not going to discourage us from demanding it if the leader decides that is the amount they have to be paid. Whether you and the government can reach a compromise is something to be seen. We are not thinking of your interests when we ask you to accept our demands, the point that was made was it is in your economic interest to accept the demand. Whether you think it is in your interests when it involves other factors is up for you to judge, and I am not going to comment on it since I am not privy to your goals and interest. Things would obviously be different if negotiations were handled in a manner where emotions does not matter but alas, it is nigh impossible 99% of the time when it involves humans. Forgive us if we seem rude and condescending but after the shitposting done by both sides over the months, obviously the winners are going to gloat and spite the losers, especially when your side made the first move and lost. For you at least, we could at least hold a proper conversation despite our differences but members of your coalition and other members of NPO have regularly degenerated the conversation into a whinefest and spend the last 20 over pages trying to justify the losses and missteps of ParaCov. There is never going to be a resolution to this conflict on OWF. You see that there is no reason for you to pay such a large amount of reps, but neither is there a reason for us to lower our demands, especially with all the slingshots that is going on. The idea of setting a precedent of paying too large an amount of rep is going to be subjective, since there is no fair neutral party to decide the amount of reps that should be paid but the precedence of aggressors being made to pay reps for losing has been made since god knows when.
  18. I doubt anyone actually cares about your suffering. Continuing the war obviously isn't good for us, but it is not as bad for us as it is for you is what they are saying. At the end of the day, no one really cares about the health of your alliance whatsoever. You guys started this war and piled 4 alliance on us but ultimately lost. BK is thus now looking for reps as compensation. We are not looking to let you off easily and that is why the government decided on that amount of reps. We couldn't care less that it affects your financial health whatsoever and sets you back for the next war. You started the war and now you are being held responsible, the end. You can cry about the state of Orbis affairs whatsoever but again, we couldn't care less in this situation. We only care about holding you responsible, and thus BK government decides that is the amount of reps they are going to hold you to. If you do not want to pay, that's another issue altogether and I'll just leave it to my government to decide on the next course of action. I disagree with how our government is holding the rest of tC "hostage", but if they decided that's the way to go about treating the aggressors of the war, so be it, but the point is, no one gives a damn about your well-being. How you guys want to chart your future in Orbis is up to you, if you want to annoy the rest of Orbis and make NPO the butt of a joke for memes whatsoever, then go ahead.
  19. Maybe if the hostages were minding their own business and got plucked off the street and ransomed. What is happening here is you bringing your allies on a ride in your car, speeding and crashing into another car, and expecting the other car owner to let you go or even pay you for damage and injuries to your car and friends.
  20. It's not clear whether peace will benefit you, but it is clear that staying in war might benefit you?
  21. The argument is only valid when it suits you. We can't speculate but you can speculate whether we are going to hit you and base your actions on it. Okay. I don't think anyone has ever shot your side's justification for war. We do have an issue with your side's justification to squirm out of peace though.
  22. Congratulations to the newly elected government!
  23. I would also arguing that not having individual war chests make your members too reliant on a central bank for resources, without knowing the bank's limitations. Some of NPO members were suiciding into us thinking they can easily rebuy with NPO "huge" warchest. NPO's war chest got ripped apart in a matter of days.
