  1. Not much to say about this but "meh".
  2. Sounds more like a shit MoD. We didn't have nor intended on signing an MDP with Rose and that wasn't our own agenda-that was an agenda Rose shared with us at the time.
  3. Looking forward to fighting along side you.
  4. I can't wait until Paragon rolls you in two months on a hunch, since that's a precedent now. UPN has gone mad with power, they'll say, mad with power! It'll be the only righteous option they'll have!
  5. And Mensa arrives on scene with the only legitimate CB. Dio provides.
  6. You're right. Partisan's honest, forthrightly motive was unfortunately no match for your better-than-houseplant manipulation skills. Congratulations VE on this one. My most sincere regrets to UPN, but it is good to see you actually doing something. Edit: Seriously, houseplants are some of the coolest people I know.
  7. I'd probably go to the Syndicate. I know quite a few of their members pretty well and am certain I'd enjoy it there. I'm a big fan of alliances that keep their average up, too.
  8. Treaty Web collapsing in on itself in 3... 2... 1... We'll all see what each alliance in the top ten is really worth when someone has to break and swing.
  9. This is obviously a paperless understanding. (Do pirates even know how to write or read?) No, seriously though, to anyone jumping on the hurr-there-is-the-paper-hurr bandwagon, this is obviously a temporary measure until Vanguard gets their shadow-politics in order. If you really want to point out some irony, let's talk about how much their security has improved since canceling on two of the top-ranked alliances in this game.
  10. You'll do well on your own. Have fun out there, Vanguard.
  11. Nah. You must have mistyped it.
  12. I'm proud to be amongst the brainwashed masses as well. Who of us isn't? We were programmed to be proud. I think a lot of the propaganda in this game is subpar, but I can't do any better so I'll digress.
  13. A no nonsense community of effort nation builders determined to compete and excel. If that doesn't sound like something you want to be a part of, don't apply to the Seven Kingdoms.
  14. All of these threads are pointless and boring. Can we get a subforum for these so they're easier to ignore, please?
  15. Kudos to TLF for sticking to their guns and making an unpopular move. Congrats to CF. Good luck out there. I hope you stick together for a while though, because I can't help imagining this treaty will have a slow ROI.
  16. I don't get how rebuilding discounts would help anything. They'd just make everyone fatter and more content over time. The game needs to make it dangerous but rewarding to be a leader. Figuring out what parameters a player (or alliance) needs to be classified as a "leader" may be difficult but introducing finite things that are worth actually fighting for will create the drama and competition we all crave so much. Example: Put some limited amount of items in the game (or generate one per X amount of players to encourage us to promote the game), like treasures, that benefit the alliance of the player that holds one. Collect them all within one alliance and the alliance as a whole does better. But all the other alliances will want them because they're awesome. Or something like that. I'm just spit-balling here. Edit: You could even reset and randomize them after X amount of days so that things stay fresh. Creating new frontiers/servers/territories for competing would be cool too (as stated above)
  17. Yes. I'm sure this was a great surprise to everyone.
  18. An economic bonus for the #1 alliance would make a lot of other alliances start taking risks. Edit: Making the top more competitive/rewarding will make this game more interesting. We can't rely solely on pseudo-politics and grudges to keep us going. (They'll carry us pretty far though)
  19. That will become exponentially steeper over time, unless the game begins providing us with more effective ways to destroy each other or sets harder limits on top-tier growth (the top should always be the most competitive position, this game already has a relatively relaxed one). It's a significant improvement from (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) (which was equally as competitive as PW in its early days) but it isn't perfect at all. It may just be the downside of this genre. A reset or new frontiers may just be an inevitable fate for people like us.
  20. How hard would it be to program a forum from scratch into the game?
  21. A soft ceiling or limit to the effects of individual nation growth might help. The game already has this with the prohibitive costs of expanding cities but it's only a matter of time before the larger nations just brute force new members through this. The only limiting factor would be the ten day wait (which would only hinder new players from catching up quickly as time progresses). What really killed (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) is the two years it takes to develop a nation that even sort of matters on an alliance scale. No new players even want to start that trek. Hell, it was a huge pain back in 07/08, and it's worse if you are unfortunately recruited by a terrible alliance. There needs to be a balance between growing/leading and how easy it is to catch up to the established nations and players so that new players can actually compete. It isn't perfect but that's definitely something I like about PW vs (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways), and the problem will establish itself here over time without proactive changes to nation building. The established alliances don't take risks because they can afford to sit idle. The new alliances don't take risks because they can't afford getting rolled.
