  1. For the eight of you who picked Mensa so far, shoot me a PM.
  2. Think I heard that Tuggy would be up for it for Mensa.
  3. Someone should go through and add up all the execrable philosophical positions Rozalia adopts. Last week he supports bestiality, this week he is a fascist white supremacist. Whatever will be next?
  4. "Great Conservative Nations" - may you enjoy as much success as you deserve.
  5. Mensa's government is elected by members every three months. Where does that fall on your spectrum of democratic alliances?
  6. I don't know how I got here. This thread is part of the reason why I stay out of non-game related areas of forums, because I'm always disappointed by how stupid some people are who otherwise I don't mind from game-only interactions.
  7. That sounds like its mostly bullshit, but anyway my comment quoted Fasolt, not you.
  8. Other than soldier kills, your own stats aren't awesome. The fact that your soldier kills are so far out of whack with everything else suggests most of your wars are against people who only ever had soldiers. If I were you I wouldn't be bragging from tall places about how great you are.
  9. Yeah, statistics don't perfectly capture difficulty. Phiney made the point not long ago (also about Saeton's stats) that kills from early in the game's history would ideally weigh far more than kills from this week, because everyone had far fewer cities and much lower military numbers. And of course badass ratings for raiders are inflated by foes that are helpless or at a minimum not protected by engaged allies and friends from other alliances etc. That said, Arrgh seems to have been getting into many more full on alliance wars lately. A strategic shift that lines up with Ogaden's abdication.
  10. Was it insulting Islam or insulting the player that drew the warn? Or is neither worthy of a warning, but together they become so?
  11. Its called the treaty web, and it is now available in-game
  12. Are you saying someone couldn't be named President America of the nation John Smith?
  13. Bye Niemand! Sorry to see you go, always hoped someday you might come back to Mensa.
  14. Henry Ford is your hospital? You should call up their chief pharmacist (his name is Daniel Kus) and ask him how you can benefit from the hospitals' participation in the 340B drug pricing program. His cost to buy your Creon is about $950, but the pharmacy you go to is charging closer to $5000 for it.
  15. What about multis or impersonation? Those seem to be your go-to tactics.
  16. I was referring to Alpha. As for VE, they followed the exact same strategy with the exact same results as the last war - take steps that result in the complete annihilation of their bottom 100 nations, while the top 15-20 or so stay pristine and untouched.
  17. Hurr, they have some big nations, but they suck at mechanics.
  18. Pretty sure he said he had upgraded out of the shipping container, 'tho. He might have a winnebago now or something.
  19. You could just as easily say the raids really started a year ago, and point to some war from back then. But the big stack of raids that happened after we squashed Arrgh a bit came on the 17th. In any case you could make the argument that Rose was gearing up for a Christmas war and downsized their military once the threat of that had passed.
  20. Arrgh has had a few conflicts recently that rise to the level of "war", I'll give you that. But even those begin with raiding, where the odds are stacked by definition (no one raids targets they can't reliably beat). And it seems to me that your stats increase steadily even when there is no big war on (either globally, or with AAs trying to beat back Arrgh raiders). I'm not saying stats from raiding are meaningless. I just think they are achieved in an environment very different from a major war, and it would be interesting to distinguish between them. An example of doing that would be calculating "bad ass scores" for specific wars, instead of a running total for all time. I'm not sure how something similar could be done in-game.
  21. Arrgh put it into practice at the bottom tier, and the innovation for them was that their nations were sort of "judgment proof." What we did to VE towards the end of this war is no different than what we did in the last couple of wars to VE and others. (If you wonder why we started late, look to the fact that we were defending in this war). tS, Guardian and others have also employed this tactic well. The same can't be said for VE, Rose or UPN. At some point the giant alliances will need to adopt the successful tactics innovated by their smaller peers.
  22. Doesn't hurt us to be nice, its just a game.
  23. I'd be interested to look over any data that anyone comes up with on this, but I suspect that you are understating the impact of raiding on the stats of the people who raid regularly. On SRD, I don't think he could have effectively countered. Dropping his stuff was a reasonable decision, if boring and a bit disappointing. The same isn't true for MoonPie or Samwise. Between the two of them, there were a few great counter opportunities missed and some strange tactical decisions. And the importance of having supplies on hand for your army to defend against attacks can't be overstated.
