  1. i think this should be moved to the 'game demands' subforum
  2. i sent them each this message it has been 3.5 hours since the wars have been declared. this is the only panetheon response i have to date so it would appear they are going with the beige option. no counter attacks have been declared yet for any pantheon members high in score that have not yet been declared upon - you can (potentially) thank these two (and seemingly your gov't) for receiving a nuke from me as they value their existence more than your existence after this 'debate' they have held edit 2: okpopmfresh has been the first to actually fight me. led with a ground attack (not sure why) but the airstrikes suggest hes in it for the long haul. i'm glad to see at least one of them has some valor!
  3. That's my nation id. I've bought the 2 yr credit package. Is there a bug with that?
  4. i completely agree. i've always believed in a 'carve your own role' approach to leadership
  5. if i remember correctly there was a small portion (<10%) of fraggle's NRF paid for by a loan from GPA that was in default by choice because of the incredibly favorable terms to default against. it was something very small like 10k/week or something. then after it was purchased fraggle was expelled because she (allegedly) was spying away someone's missiles and a user by the name of 'gayden' repaid the loan for some reason or another, who then tried to leverage that loan to get his way with taxes or something. it was incredibly entertaining
  6. 300 is a very big number. sparta has been to 350 though not too long ago https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=132&name=Sparta&type=alliance&date=2016-05-02&submit=Go
  7. its not going to crash the market it will just drive the price to equilibrium faster if it even does anything at all. the sales you price undervalued to the market's worth will be bought (or in the case you are describing, cancelled, as you dont have it) for people looking to trade resources. for people that actually need it, they will choose the cheapest price, so they will click yours. oh you dont have it? it will be cancelled and they will do it again. repeat until they get the resources they require. i suppose sheepy could do a simple check comparing current inventory against market offer + current market offers but i think this would be self policed pretty well with the cancelling feature but i really think it would be fixing a problem that doesn't really exist. for example: lets look at screencaps showing this 'crash' first of all abu you didn't 'profit' 200 bauxite along the way. look at the trades you executed on the 10th when you 'crashed' the market. there were only 6 for bauxite trade 1) bought 200 for 2039 each (-407,800) trade 2) bought 30 for 2020 each (-60,600) trade 3) sold 20 for 2018 each (+40,360) trade 4) sold 20 for 2012 each (+40,240) trade 5) sold 20 for 2040 each (+40,800) trade 6) sold 20 for 2090 each (+41,800) net sales: +150 bauxite, -$305,200 (2034.67 ea) so really all you did was in a roundabout way buy 150 bauxite for 2034.67 each with this 'crash' that you did. your cost average for the 230 that you bought was $2036.52. this is savings of $1.85 per unit that you ended up buying. this means all the effort you did to create this 'crash' earned you a grand total of $277.5 ; or about 1/8th of the value of a single bauxite. now this doesn't mean it couldn't work. yes, someone could come in with 5 total bauxite, stack trade offers to make it look like there was an offer for 100 selling bauxite at 2000, 1900, 1800, 1700, 1600, 1500 in the hopes that someone comes in and tries to undercut in the 14xx range with a relatively big volume, but even at 1000 profit per unit it would take a large offer to make it worthwhile to do this exercise in my opinion as the failure rate of this scheme would far exceed the success rate and i wouldn't want to spend all day submitting offers in small increments under the highest buy offer in the hopes that someone would undercut me with a price that i may not even see as someone else could swoop in and profit from. that just seems like a very frustrating exercise so yes i would consider this an 'exploit' but i really dont think it is very exploitable and would be about as successful as going around to young kids offering to trade a big nickel for their little dimes. i think the self policing would still be sufficient
  8. my greatest support to the sovereign land of fraggle rock. state censorship is not conducive to a peaceful existence
  9. no. once i have the debts paid off that i said i would in previous threads i will be moving on to other ventures in this game
  10. i am not leaving because of this. i more or less caused this because i knew i was leaving (the alliance - not the game). the general sentiment said i set back sparta relations - the reason i kept people in the dark was to have it all placed on me. if i am not spartan it is not reflective of them correct? maybe...maybe not. that was my thought process though so it was an attempt to be the bad guy and not have it taken out on all of the allies (spartan and third party) that i scumbagged. im quite confident that i will never be out of a leadership role in sparta in an official or unofficial capacity and that is something i've grown very weary of so i feel a move is in order.
  11. lol no. i have neither the time nor inclination to lead an alliance anymore and i couldn't in good faith leave sparta setup for inevitable failure from a series of choices i helped make that led to systemic complacency and inadequacy for a large portion of the userbase. i decided to take a big step towards correcting this issue through a very drastic measure. i have no plans to quit the game im just going to probably start doing more of my own thing but when i saw narratives like 'well there goes the idea of me joining sparta for a peaceful existence' i felt very justified in doing what i did. having this type of fearful attitude is something i was looking to root out. sparta having less liabilities and cowards will hopefully prove valuable to their allies in the future as areas of improvement can now be focused on people that are worthy of investing in. how current leadership decides to move forward is their decision but at least i was able to put the cards on the table for them
  12. Yes that is a very appropriate word
  13. In light of the madness today which has severely damaged external relations as a result of actions that were 100% my doing with no other Spartan knowledge or knowledge with any members of Sparta's allies I will be stepping down from a leadership role immediately and leaving the alliance within a very short time frame Allow me to reiterate: this was all my doing and my actions should not be reflective of current leaders, members and allies. I have several reasons for doing this but they are mostly rooted in getting sparta into a better place. My passion for co-leading an alliance has all but vanished over a slow decline over a long time. This was reflective in a lot of internal standards and operations I feel sparta was severely lacking. I feel sparta also drifted from a core founding ideology and this move will allow sparta to begin to move back towards that philosophy should they choose. Also it was a fair bit of fun to make pre sweat a bit, but that is neither here nor there. Tl;Dr going to be leaving sparta. I done goofed
  14. like i said im willing to make financial restitution with anyone that has wasted money in this stunt of mine. send me a bill and i'll get on it
  15. ok so i need to come clean. basically what pre is saying is true. i used this as an extreme stress test for sparta. things kind of spilled over to allies more than i intended so i'm willing to make it right to them with any money wasted. nobody knew about this but me. long story short - i've been a bad boy
  16. population lost from disease is all about disease rate and not pollution rate - although disease rate uses pollution rate as part of that parent calculation https://politicsandwar.com/api/city/id=17442 this is a city of mine that demonstrates that it is disease rate and not pollution rate. this city has 77 pollution but 0 disease and thus 0 people being killed from disease. land and hospitals. land and hospitals are the primary function behind the pollution to disease rate. in the linked city above, 3600 infra with 2174.89 land and 4 hospitals allows for me to have up to 78 pollution points before it kills anyone. for a 1700 infra city with 1 hospital and 2500 land the 'free' pollution you can have is 11. at 1800 it is 8 and 1900 it is 5
  17. someone this morning sent me a scam trade offer trying to get me to buy food for 10m each. i declined and embargoed that nation. a few minutes later additional scam offers by this same nation found its way into my notifications and pending trade offer list. Could it be arranged that if the nation is embargoed they cannot send you trade offers? id rather not have to decline all of these offers by someone hoping i accidentally hit accept one time and give him/her a payday
  18. I'm very glad to see this become a reality. Here's to years of being great allies o/
