  1. Those are British pounds, not euros 🙄
  2. These are baseball tips 🤦‍♂️
  3. Congrats on 3 years, and here's to 1 more! (Let's be honest, wishing 3 more years of PnW on anyone seems a bit cruel, no?) In all seriousness though, long life to CTO! I like the idea of the various competitions to celebrate. Good luck to all participants!
  4. I do love a good dataset. Thanks for putting this together!
  5. I hate it when micros post in here.
  6. I look forward to tomorrow's announcement celebrating your 2001st day.
  7. This is why we need an Investor Relations department.
  8. Ignore him; he's just mad he hasn't yet gotten all those free cities we promised him for the merger. 🙄 Wouldn't be a 10c scrub anymore if you spent 3.5 billion on them though. Think about that
  9. What were you doing (or trying to do): Someone sold me 180k food (accepting an open buy offer I had on the market) seemingly at the exact same moment as I bought 20k food from the market. What happened (describe thoroughly please): The 20k that I purchased directly was added to my nation, but the 180k that was sold to me was not added. However, the cost of the 180k food was deducted from my nation and the food was deducted from the seller's nation. Link to page: Presumably an issue when processing transactions accepted on the food trade page (https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=90&display=world&resource1=food) Any other relevant information: The screenshots I am posting show that within a span of a few minutes, I purchased 20k food and had 308k food sold to me. I don't dispute that I received the second batch of 128k food, but I did not receive the first 180k. I already had approx. 110k food on hand though I can't prove that. However, the screenshot also shows that despite having purchased or had sold to me 328k food in the minutes preceding the screenshot, I only had 262k on hand. My trade history shows I did not sell any food during that period and my banking history likewise shows I did not deposit any food into my alliance bank during that period. Similarly I unfortunately can't prove how much cash I had on hand before the transactions occurred but I know the $22,140,000 was deducted. I don't know if you'll be able to find the root cause but I respectfully request that the vanished 180k food be added to my nation's inventory. Screenshot: (if available) Due to maximum file size I need to upload the screenshots separately. Will post second screenshot in thread. This is a screenshot of my trade history showing the food purchases during the timespan in question. You can see the 20k and 180k both occurred at 1:48pm EST.
  10. What's the point in polling the community then if you've basically already decided the outcome? I notice the rest of my post was just ignored, but I'll restate that I strongly feel the dev team is going in the wrong direction by focusing on ways to reduce active income that actually keep people engaged with the game. Someone who logs in once a week shouldn't be growing at the same rate (or possibly even faster due to their size advantage) as someone who plays for several hours a day.
  11. My main issue with this poll is you're going to walk away from it with whatever the result is and say "look, the community wants a hard cap of $X million", yet there's no option to maintain status quo. I see a lot of fuss being made about how this is intended to protect the low tier from people spawning a bunch of money during a raid but that argument fails to recognize that most competent low tier raiders are already making 20-30m per day raiding, so I doubt it's the hypothetical extra 6m from baseball that's really putting them over the edge in any given raid. This honestly seems to me like it could potentially have an adverse result. As someone who started playing less than a year ago, I take issue with any attempt to try to remove/reduce ways for new players to generate active income. This game has existed for almost 8 years now, with some players being there from the start. The only way for new players to hope to catch up to that 8-year head start is by devoting a lot of time to generating active income, whether it is from raiding, trading, running businesses or playing baseball. In many cases all those sources of income combined, despite requiring a commitment of several hours per day, can't even hope to produce as much income as the passive income generated by a large long-term player who might not even log in every day. Since I started playing last year, I've seen people take issue with the amount of raiding income generated by small nations, the trading income being made by active traders, and now apparently the relatively tepid income generated by certain players spamming baseball games. Claiming that any of those sources of income is an unfair way to make money just seems to me like a misguided attempt at protecting the numerous advantages conferred upon long-time players. It seems some people just won't be happy until the only income generated in-game is the passive income generated from sitting around doing nothing. If someone wants to spam baseball games, let them. If it weren't for these few key players playing hundreds of away games every day, nobody would be making any money from home games either.
  12. Yeah my bad. The first "all" should have been "check": Similarly, when creating a new offer to buy resources, the system should check all other buy offers from that buyer to ensure the sum doesn't exceed cash on hand.
  13. They can also inflate prices when people are putting up offers they don't have the cash to back On the suggestion itself: I understand where this idea is coming from, but I think the main issue isn't people posting multiple trades. It is people "spamming" trades so much that they end up leaving open trades that they can't back up with resources or cash on hand. That is definitely something I would support addressing and if we could have a mechanism to automatically remove trades that can't be backed up - other than manually clicking to accept each trade to have the game remove them - I'd support that. I know Alex has expressed a concern about the server load it would require to check every trade each turn, but perhaps instead the solution could be: When creating a new trade to sell resources, the system should check all other offers by that seller for that resource to ensure the sum doesn't exceed quantities on hand. Similarly, when creating a new offer to buy resources, the system should check all other buy offers from that buyer to ensure the sum doesn't exceed cash on hand. When a buyer accepts a seller's offer to sell, have the system check all the other sell offers by that seller for that resource, and remove them all if the seller would no longer have the ability to back them up after the initial offer is processed. Similarly, when a seller accepts a buyer's offer to buy, have the system check all other buy offers by that buyer, and remove them all if the buyer would no longer have the ability to back them up after the initial offer is processed. In my opinion though, there is nothing wrong with having multiple offers for the same resource if you have the cash or resources to back them all up. For example, I sometimes find myself placing an offer at the best price on the market, but I might also keep an "aspirational" offer open for the same resource to buy/sell an additional amount of resources at a different price should the market fluctuate. If the person trading has the cash/resources to back all those trades up, then they're not artificially inflating or deflating prices. Their offers are validly influencing supply and demand just like any other offers.
  14. Ngl I saw the length of the post and just assumed it was Cooper.
  15. Happy retirement, Justin! Congrats and good luck, Vemek! 🎉
  16. A publicly-listed yet wholly-owned subsidiary? 🤔
  17. I pledge allegiance, to the flag. Against the $yndicate and Rose. One orange alliance. To prevent ROI and growth for all. Furthermore, I am of the opinion that pixels must be destroyed. To the moon!
  18. Lovely DoE. Congrats and good luck!
  19. I've just had the exact same issue with this war: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/war/timeline/war=1005287
