Moderators Popular Post Jaehaerys Posted November 11, 2015 Moderators Popular Post Share Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) In an attempt to prevent accounts simply created to troll others, often being a multi or a case of ban evasion, the forum staff has decided to begin placing bans on known temporary email service domains. The most prominent example of this is: *@trbvm.com That email service has been used to register 14 accounts, including: PolPot, !@#$ (EDIT: n-i-g-g-a), hawkeye, Lady Lambda, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Osama Bin Laden, and a few others. As you can clearly see, the grand majority of accounts registered under just this one temporary email service are troll accounts likely used through a proxy. Any of the few legitimate accounts registered under that domain will be given a chance to switch their email to a permanent service, or be banned from the forums. If you know of any other recurring temporary email domains, please let us know so we can appropriately deal with them. Currently, these services/domains have already been reviewed and added to the ban list: *@trbvm.com *@mailinator.com *@thrma.com *@anappthat.com *@yopmail.com *@maildrop.cc *@sharklasers.com *@grr.la *@guerillamail.biz *@guerillamail.com *@guerillamail.de *@guerillamail.net *@guerillamail.org *@guerillamailblock.com *@spam4.me Edited November 11, 2015 by Jaehaerys Ban list updated.

Moderators Jaehaerys Posted November 11, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2015 <list below>xww.ro - can't find anyone on this one, it seems to be a dereferer service rather than a temporary email service? These ones have been been abused in the past and are now on the ban list: mailinator.com - home of several banned users. thrma.com - home of one banned user. anappthat.com - home of one banned user. yopmail.com - home of multiple ban evasion attempts. sharklasers.com - this one was a jackpot. spam4.me - one previously legitimate account and a ban evasion account. Nobody on these ones, but they've been added to the ban list as a preemptive measure: grr.la maildrop.cc guerillamail.biz guerillamail.com guerillamail.de guerillamail.net guerillamail.org guerillamailblock.com Thanks again. A list has been added to the OP.
Conner Temple
@Amail.net used to be one I used when I was spamming a forum years ago. Not sure if its still up though
Ayayay
This tends to be a lesson in futility. There's more temporary e-mail domains everyday and it's easier to manually check an email after the account is created than go about doing this. It's also temp mail. https://mytemp.email/ Can also add: @grandmasmail.com @getairmail.com @pwrby.com @abyssmail.com @tafmail.com @zetmail.com @vomoto.com All email addresses generated by a single site. They may have more domains? I reached the limit. Edited November 12, 2015 by Dan77

For the moment, I wanted to get the major ones taken care of, such as: mailinator.com, yopmail.com, sharklasers.com The moderation staff will be monitoring new, controversial accounts. The registration agreement will also be altered to emphasize the new policy.

Lu Xun
You can pretty trivially create a junk Gmail account as a disposable. Same with Yahoo. Those are pretty common general mail providers, and there are also more obscure freemail providers. That said, while it won't be phenomenally effective, it deepens the moat. 1 Quote .
