This is arguably the greatest shitpost of our time.

I'm glad you think so, friend. At least I'm protected by that silly first Amendment.

The people of Southern Socialist Republic believe in honour, integrity, and an ice cold Coca-Cola.

They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia, and Latin America?

Because one is doing conceivably better than the other. That one is Cuba. Statistically.

How in the hell can somebody conceivebly compare Cuba to the US? Like seriously?

I'm sorry but, aren't they both nation states? What makes you think they're not comparable? Sure, they're very different but the very point of comparing something is to see the differences.

Spending a lifetime in Cuba would be far more enjoyable than spending a single day as a citizen in the capitalist gangbang that is the United States.

No shit, but it's still not as bad as a dictatorship under Castro/Hitler, etc...

Castro isn't good, but you have to be in some different plane of existence if you think he's comparable to hitler, then again Reactionaries are usually off in some fantasy universe so I can't say I'm surprised.

I honestly don't think Castro is horrible, but I agree with most of this. I go to school with Dimitri, so you see what I have to deal with.

I say this because I think it would be obvious to anyone that it would be far easier to run a country of 11 million people rather than a country of 350 million. It's like comparing an ant to an elephant.

You notice there is a real discussion going on.

Mostly you and the other dude going back and forth liking each others' posts.

Oh, hey there Big Brother. I just moved and I need some home decor advice. I have a pretty unused spot in the dining room and I want to put a plant there. Would an aspidistra look good there?

I honestly don't think Castro is horrible

Ok, so I will come kill you because you don't agree with me. Unless you are a hypocrite, then you won't think I'm horrible.  ;)

Then the Union should have split when they had the chance. Because obviously it's impossible to govern 350 million people with the circlejerk that is the US government.

As an American living in Kentucky, I can say from first hand experience that the United States is doing quite well. We have the strongest military, the largest pull in geopolitics, and we're an economic powerhouse.

I will admit that past few years have been muddy internationally because Obama's foreign policy has been questionable. Congress is also very broken due to radical partisanship on both sides and extreme amounts of lobbying. Still, though, I'm really proud of our history, and I am proud to be an American.

Darkusius, what's your problem with America? Care to explain why you don't like it?

It is by far the worst country, sheerly because of the idiotic beings it breeds who think they are entitled to every single inch of the world just because they have the biggest army, or are the most "successful" country.

The entire US government was ruined when partisan politics came into play. If the government was non-partisan, the US government would be doing a bit better, but it is long outdated and needs reform that no one is willing to do. You have some hard working Americans, but you have those that sit on a couch and don't even vote but still complain about the government.

All in all, a country that continues to eat its own excrement will never be a good country, no matter how many promises of freedom and liberty it gives to its citizens.

If the US had a competent military force and halfway decent government, they could have taken care of the Islamic State already, like they said they would.

Also, the Islamic State is not a country.

Wait, the complaint against the United States is because its nation building across the Near and Middle East, yet you also complain because it is not invading Syria to clean out ISIS and then be forced to nation build that country as well. And of course the nation is lazy and uneducated is the other complaint.

But yet you both advocate for Centralized Education which the United States has. Interesting.

Well, it's natural for empires to continue to grow in influence, so I don't know if that's a valid criticism. Even if it was, I can safely assure you that very few people in the country literal believe that the world belongs to the United States because of our military or overall power.

Then, to assume that any single opinion (in this case, that the entire world should literally be under the jurisdiction of the United States because of our combined economic and military strength and our history) makes it the worst country - above North Korea, China, Vietnam, Sudan, or Somalia - on that alone, is asinine.

This is actually fair criticism! There does need to be some serious political reform on a federal level to get things back on track.

How does the United States eat its own excrement? Can you be more specific?

I agree. Exactly how the federal government will get their nose out of the education system is beyond my knowledge, I admit.

I have two words for you. The South.

Could you please elabourate here?

The entirety of the US bathes in its own glory, whether it be in foreign or domestic affairs. Needless to say, every country has a bit of their own nationalism, and some just as extreme as the US. But the US still needs to learn that there are other countries besides the US.
