Memph
(at least after the current war is over) I think this could help make wars more interesting where one side has the upper hand. Soldiers are cheap to build, and can do a moderate amount of damage, giving underdogs the ability to fight back a bit more. At the same time, they're not particularly powerful, so the nation with tanks, ships, missiles, spies and aircraft as opposed to just soldiers will still be at an advantage. But you could organize attacks with team-mates to try to loot, take out tanks, get ground control and beige opponents.
Phiney
Support this, maybe make it so it's 50% instead of 33% a day, so if you time it right a double buy you could get back to max and actually do something about getting out of a shit situation.
Dark Specter
Support this, maybe make it so it's 50% instead of 33% a day, so if you time it right a double buy you could get back to max and actually do something about getting out of a !@#$ situation. This might make people lose their minds because it will move the military away from realism other then that i agree with this. Ayayay
I disagree, it has already been raised from 25% to 33%. The biggest problem with increasing it to 50% means that right a nation can buy all their soldiers right around server reset time. I think numbers for other units should be looked at, though. Dwynn
Why not tweak the OP idea a bit and have it increase only when a nation is at war. Or to take it a step further, have it increase when a nation has lost ground superiority. Think of it as their nation instituting a draft to raise a larger army. 1 Quote He's right, I'm such a stinker. Play my exceptional game!
Phiney
I like Malone's idea, and under. That's the point, to give someone at least a chance of fighting as atm there's a lot of lying down n taking it
Prefontaine
Problem I have with this, what about 1v1 wars, will you be able to outpace their soldier production with your kill rate?
Phiney
Then maybe it gives tanks an actual use in war

Shellhound
What I've faced during this war is if you get a jump on your opponent and you're already a little more superior in terms of ground it's damn near impossible for your enemy to actually grow back and fight you, I was essentially told that by one of my opponents. If you get a 3v1 and your opponent doesn't check the game until say 12 hours after the wars are declared then they're pretty !@#$ed. Problem I have with this, what about 1v1 wars, will you be able to outpace their soldier production with your kill rate? This is the tricky part, we want to base these things around alliance wars which is understandable but the majority of wars in the game aren't going to be alliance wars, they'll most likely be 1v1's or maybe even 2v1's. Maybe add some sort of feature where if you're in more than one defensive war your military production rate (or w/e you want to call it) goes up. Dark Specter
how about we remove the military based off improv feature and make it so you can actually max out soldiers, tanks, air and navy at once making your soldier pop purchase based of citizen pop and have tank, air and navy pop be based off soldier pop and maybe remove the military improvs are change them to act as a bonus modifier for each unit type or something? This will put everyone on the same playing field. Its a bit of a stretch sense it will take away some realism but this is a game after all. Dark Specter
How about we turn it into a National Project? No because that will only make wars more one sided then they already are because a few people who are able to could afford it and attack those that cant. Vincent
@ Stetonic, if we remove all limits as what you suggested then I supposed no one will bother having military. We might as well all be accumulating resources instead.
Greene
A couple thoughts here. The first one is maybe we allow the first 33% to be conscripted at $2 and then the second 33% to be conscripted at say $10. A real world comparison (if we even need one, which frankly I dont see but I'm going to provide it anyway) would be the refer a friend bonus that I believe some professional armies have. The second idea is that if you have max barracks in a city, you can conscript an additional 5% per each city that has max barracks.
