Without an element of uncertainty no defender will ever win a war

Relative values of different currencies? How would that even work. Too much work for a gameplay feature that will excite 5% of players and exasperate 95%

Graphical interface. More attractive site.

This. Looking better is good, but I would prefer function over form if it came down to a choice -
Why should older nations have more weight? That simply means that the only options chosen will be those that benefit older nations

Worked perfectly, thank you very much

I have tried a few times to add my forum account, as per the new update, but every time I get this error message: You've received the following error(s): Your forum account link is not valid. It should start with https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/profile/ << Go Back What I have been putting in is the copy/paste of my account url - https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/profile/8503-mandystalin/ Which starts exactly the same, as far as I can tell

Changing Ground Control and Nerfing Airstrikes on Tanks
Mandystalin replied to Alex's topic in Game Suggestions
Since about 1940 when the first AA tanks were in action. No mechanised unit on a modern battlefield would be without some form of AA, be it guns, missiles or both. Some hand-held, some vehicle-mounted. For historical interest, there are even a handful of documented cases of standard tanks shooting down aircraft with their main gun, including a British Centurion knocking down a MiG-15 in Korea -
A suggestion to cover what is obviously the most essential resource in the modern world Raw production is wood. The improvement is a forest, which basically operates like a farm - more output with more land Manufactured output is toilet paper. Every citizen you own needs toilet paper at a rate of 1 roll per citizen per week. If the supply of tp drops to 0 then there is civil unrest, all production ceases and your money is looted by your citizens

How long have you been wanting to make a treaty with this name?
-
Maybe I wasn't clear. Currently in an alliance war whoever gets that first round of blitzes in is then on top, and their opponents cannot effectively fight back unless the aggressor is particularly incompetent, simply because of the mathematics of military rebuying. Taking away extra resources means less ability to rebuy (well, depending upon your warchest, but this will deplete them faster). Having improvements stop working means the numbers of specific military units you can rebuy goes down. So basically, further undermining the ability of an attacked nation/alliance to resist.
-
So... in a war system that allows easy wins to whoever coordinates better/has more friends, you want winning to be more devastating and to make people's ability to carry on fighting after one round even more impossible? This suggestion is great for raiding but bad for alliance wars

Conclusion Of Research On Market - DANGER TO EXISTENCE OF THE GAME
Mandystalin replied to Vineet's topic in Game Suggestions
Back to 4,600... basically it is always going up and down. The market is user-controlled, which is the whole point. -
Military buys I can sort of understand, as time can matter with them. But Trade? Surely not.
-
After having an 'are you sure' popup added for posting trade offers, can we have a similar popup for purchases? Because the 'buy' button is right below the amount box, it is very easy to accidentally buy the entire offer when using your phone (touchscreens, am I right?). It would be nice to be able to say no if you have an oops moment. It is also nice to see exactly how much the chunk of resources you are buying will cost you.
-
How about an alert when you run out of a resource that you need?

I just real through this whole topic, and came to the final gravedig post expecting a great revelation... What I will say, in response to the OP, is that the whole 'religion of peace' thing is usually taken from history. The days when Medieval Europe was under the control of a corrupt and intolerant Church, and the Middle East was under the control (at times, anyway) of a (relatively) far more tolerant and moderate regime.

I'm part of the Community, I used to love playing baseball. Captcha made it less fun, needing made it no fun. I would be quite interested in some stats on how many casual players like me there are, and how many have given up playing it post-nerf. But I do agree that Keno should return

What seems to work best in practice is a blend. Enough Capitalism to keep money being made. Enough Socialism (to use it as a catch-all term) to put a few brakes on and stop the workers becoming serfs. Getting the balance correct is probably impossible in reality, but you can get close enough
-
Well, I was involved but then got distracted by all the good fun in the alliance section. Sadly that got dull again so I returned here

Biggest complaints regarding gameplay.
Mandystalin replied to Prefontaine's topic in Game Discussion
Increase the amount of military units (of all types) that can be bought per day -
You all realise that Socialism is not Communism?

There is a lot wrong with your reference. In no particular order... Aircraft don't routinely fly on full after burner (particularly for an hour at a time) The max takeoff weight for an F-16C is ~21 US tons The link you provided gives a much lower fuel consumption than you quoted
