I think I do agree I'd like to see a need to rotate attack types other then missile. In my case, I have to maintain blockades. If my opponents had ground superiority, they'd be doing real damage to me. ALL THEY HAVE is missiles since they can't dent my at sea, air or land. I can't begrudge them hitting me with their missiles. I'll hit them with mine, but since I can only build one a day, I will have to rotate in other attacks. Maybe reduce missile dmg by 10%, and add 10%dmg if air superiority and 10% dmg if ground superiority. That would encourage a fight on air and land as well.

I see it like this, UPN and friends launched a war and won. The losers are now getting their revenge after having worked hard to assemble a coalition of alliances to do it. When the war is over, the slate is clear and we'll continue on with politics and war.

I've certainly seen some air vs ship action today on my navy. I think this post is calling attention to the issue and the desperate attacks are picking up. I've lost 3 ships to utter failure air attacks by my enemies. I have ground dominance, so their aircraft are halved. Here's one example. 57 ground superiority suffering aircraft(so 29?) vs my 195 aircraft. Sheep Shearer underlordgc of Howell ordered an airstrike upon the nation of Iron Isles. The attack was an utter failure. Sheep Shearer underlordgc's forces lost 3 aircraft, while High Queen Aisha Greyjoy's defenders lost 0 aircraft. The attack destroyed 0.00 infrastructure in the city of Old Wykand 1 ships. The utter failure cost me 25 steel and him 9 aluminum. Overall, not really an utter failure. I'm not complaining. Its all my poor, overmatched opponents can do. But it does seem a little off. I'd say maybe it was just bad dice. So lets look at the other attack. 77 ground superiority suffering aircraft(39?) vs my 195 aircraft. Warsmith Hansarius of Hansadonia ordered an airstrike upon the nation of Iron Isles. The attack was an utter failure. Warsmith Hansarius's forces lost 5 aircraft, while High Queen Aisha Greyjoy's defenders lost 1 aircraft. The attack destroyed 0.00 infrastructure in the city of Old Wyk and 2 ships. This utter failure cost him 15 aluminum and me 3 aluminum and 50 steel. That is somewhat economically efficient for them. So I agree, air to ship is a bit too strong right now, maybe it should be weaker when vastly outclassed in the air, but just as strong as it is now with parity or superiority in the air.

Whining is not dignified. Take your beating like men and learn from it and come back and get your revenge later. That's how this works. No more Baw'ing please.

I don't think we need adhere to "simple is always better", but I'm not sure I see the value of differentiating "good coal" from "bad coal". How does a "bad coal" nation make "good coal"?

Welcome. Stick with it, sometimes an alliance has ONE guy responding to apps, and maybe he has a test or a busy work week or something. Find an alliance that sounds good and give them the same chance you want them to give you.

I really expected to see something about Mord-Sith and the requirement to say the devotional. Oh, and constant unceasing right-wing dribble disguised as fantasy literature.

GPA has quite the military. Last time I checked, the strongest per capita military as an alliance. They know that neutrality does not mean pacifism or decreased defense budgets. In fact, it means larger defense budgets.

I am always pleased to see diplomacy fail and the "last resort" of war fall over Orbis.

Well, if mcdonalds workers made 10.10 an hour, they could afford to buy more big macs. That would improve profits for mcdonalds, even if the dollar & more menu became the 1.29 and more menu. Certain labor-intensive fields would be more impacted then fields which rely on skilled labor. But if my tax dollars have to support the employees of your cheap ass corporation via welfare, that's corporate welfare and we should end it, and the minimum wage is one way to do so. Especially in an era of super high profitability for American corporations(if there is such a thing as an American corporation). I might be more sympathetic to the business side if they weren't making more money then ever and doing nothing with it.
