  1. Hi all! In light of the recent proposed changes to score determination which are being tested right now, in order to give new players a more truer picture of what the game is about and what's going to be expected of them, I believe the appropriate name should be Politics and Economics instead of the current misleading name which contains blasphemous words like war which the community thoroughly hate. Also while I'm at it, to protect our new players, I believe the period of initial beige protection should be increased from the current time to a more appropriate one to make sure they steer clear of the dangerous not to be used military side of the game. A month or year seems appropriate? This is open to suggestions. I would've suggested the possibility of a peace mode but Sheepy has that covered with the updates. Please provide valuable input and if you've any better name which represents us properly, please share. Someone suggested Politics and Watch Your Pixels Grow but I believe it's too long. This thread is intended to be one of a very serious nature and any people with the intention of trolling are requested to refrain from posting.
  2. Aww, you mean me. <3 You know it's not all fun and games. I run a $1.5m negative revenue infra build as opposed to your money making one. Plus you along with another guy did manage to beat me. It was a little harder maybe yes but that's the military advantage I gained from running a money losing build and lost the economic advantage of making any money everyday. But I understand Arrgh's ultra aggressive mode left Sheepy little choice, people were unwilling to militarily handle Arrgh(despite it being completely possible) and what better way than going the old if you can't win easily, change the playing field approach. Tbh the biggest evidence of this can be seen in the for the most part specific targeting of a certain sphere by Arrgh which lacked the military expertise or willingness. Compare standing militaries of different spheres and you will understand. If the mechanics were actually really terrible as the pixel huggers with zero military make it out to be, tS or Mensa or one of their allies would've had been mass raided already. Keep in mind Arrgh was involved in war with this sphere so there's no special love for the tS side either. Sent from my mobile so apologies for any mistakes.

  4. Political Pirates wasn't stomped down. Our mass raid ended when the last standing military nation in Dharan lost their war to me. We decided to peace then. Nonetheless, sad to see an alliance disband. Good luck in your future endeavors.
  5. Last I checked around 5-6 people could hit Arrgh top ranges. Plus could always get people to sell down and hit. My main point is there's more insults being thrown around ooc on forums rather than in-game action.

  7. I like it primarily because I'm usually stuck with choice of targets but maxed slots! It just might be there though to stop making it a one man show, but then again, if a person is involved in too many wars, it's easier to take them out.
  8. ^^^^^^^^ Keegoz pls. Link us to these poor souls who are unable to build more than 200 planes. Or is it because of the destroyed infra after war which stops them? Thank Sheepy for that completely removing any advantage the defeated could have. He put this system to enable perm defeat.
  9. It has been very fun playing with you Niemand! Best of luck in your future! If you're defending being pay-to-win using the fact that real life works that way, I had say there is a difference in what people want in a game than from how real life is.

So at the end, it does not matter whether the strategy is beatable or not by team-work, what matters is military incompetent people getting frustrated and quitting the game because their alliance couldn't protect them. I wonder what will happen the day an alliance gains enough members to dominate all score ranges with sheer numbers. That's bound to frustrate people. Could always pull out the war mechanics then!! I raided probably the most in the past few weeks using this strategy, there was never a time when I did not have full offensive slots. Do you know when was the last time someone I hit quit? Back in the tS-Mensa vs UPN war when I was around 1600 score. The guy raged when his infra was blown and quit. After that, not a single person I raided quit, primarily because I hit inactives, sending peace after every attack and only actives in case of ending up in war with the alliance. Your whole base of people getting frustrated and quitting the game is strange since no one in PP encountered such behavior. Maybe from Arrgh but a lot of raiding there was from the people with 4-6 cities. They've a very lethal low range. What I do know is, just because of this change, 2 people with 13 cities did quit however with maybe more including maybe me following. That's all the truth I know. In my opinion, it is useless talking about this now since you want this change for some reason or pressure, and it will happen no matter what anyone says about it now. You started with math numbers and ended up with because the strategy was hard to counter which frustrated people. Nothing left to discuss now. Have a good day.
  11. Sheepy, if the city who had a lot more military capacity CAN be countered by another nation above, then what is the issue? I thought this was about team-work that meant being in an alliance who has people spread around who will have my back during war. Not a 1 man thing where it's all me alone. Why are you not thinking about counters?
  12. Your reply is you don't have to max military? Like seriously...? That works both ways you know. It's like you've forgotten other people who've to counter and declare wars.
  13. I don't know Sheepy if you're intentionally missing the point or genuinely being misled but that Nation 2 without caps is 1099.57 score, and Nation 1 without caps is 565 score. (I assumed they were smart enough not to make ships and had 1 project, an ID, each.) You can declare on a nation with a score between 824.25 - 1,923.25. The evil Nation 2 can't even declare on peace-loving Nation 1............... What's the point of comparing people who can't even go to war... .-. Furthermore, for your evil nation 2 without caps, You must defend from nations with a score between 628.29 - 1,466.00. A city 12 nation, having 1000 infra in each city, can have an army of 180k soldiers, 12k tanks and 1080 planes, with a score of 1456, can declare on your evil nation 2 without cap and absolutely wreck him... Give me your numbers on the evil nations before your terrible changes who were such a big problem and let's see if they've a way to be countered using numbers alone.
  14. Honestly I don't get the people who cry about this high city low infra approach. Majority of the people I hit have little to no military, the same thing can be done by a fully armed 8 city nation to another sitting ducks 8 city nation,and all the more effectively due to more tanks. You can't complain when you're sitting with no military yourself. You don't want to be raided? Keep a moderate standing military. No one will bother raiding you. For eg, look at Mensa. Who in their right mind would bother raiding them? It's very strategically possible to take out such nations and if the game owner, Sheepy, ever wants to know it, I will happily explain it to him and demonstrate on test servers if necessary, but only to him. Just because people can't figure out any strategy other than click and attack doesn't mean it's abusing.

  16. A large amount of the tank kills came in these past few weeks actually when I was involved in war. On top of that I've been involved in many wars lately. Just because they don't always turn into world wars does not make them any less of a war.

  19. Actually, on the whole thing about raiders, majority have been very active in wars too. I was #2 absolute damage done for tS-Mensa sphere back in the war against UPN and all i think. Same for Dan, he was somewhere near in the top 10 or 5. I've no statistics for this war but a large part of this increase for both me and Dan came in wars. Plus, during raiding it's mostly just soldiers kills and very very few tanks destroyed. Mostly raiding is done on people with very little to no military or inactive ones who do not have a military to start with so I wouldn't say raids drastically change everything. Most of the kills and all comes from raids gone bad which do turn into a war situation with counters flying and all, albeit not a major one. Raiding certainly make some difference though.

  22. Your point being? You aren't allowed to have friends in other alliances? You can't defend friends? A Mensa guy once hit in my defense when I was in Arrgh. Is Arrgh and Mensa HQ one alliance now as per your implied definition?
  23. Political Pirates attacks indiscriminately. I've wars on Mensa, SK, tS, TKP, Roz Wei, Vanguard, VE, Phoenix, DEIC, GPA, and now NAC in the past 2 weeks. Congratulations, you made the list. Finally something noteworthy your alliance achieved.
