Yeah, I suppose it is, once you've got the edge on a guy, there isn't really much he can do other then sit there and take his kickin for 5 days. He's never gonna free himself and be able to turn the tides like a boss. If he's lucky he's got a nice little stocpile of missiles, materials and cash, so he can score some infra damage and make himself feel a little bit better, but apart from that, nothing else he can do. If he's even luckier he might slightly weaken the other guy by taking out some mil buildings. Just seems to be a bit of a shit boring ass way to do things for both the attacker and the defender.

Needs a whole new rewrite of the war mechanic in my opinion.

I'm using past experience with browser game communities to form my judgement. I see nothing special about this one that makes me think it's any different. The majority of us, thankfully, can seperate the feelings we have about people and their characters within a game setting and that of their personal real lives. The offending party has issued an apology, I think we have all learnt a lesson. Lets just leave it at that and move on from this. Those that continue to overstep the mark are naturally ostracised by the community anyway. I don't think a scoring system will add anything.

Ain't it something like 4 v 1? I'd expect any alliance would be losing if faced with that.

Would never work, the communtiy can't agree on most things, how would they agree on the scoring of insults? Our skins are of different thickness. Some people know where the line is, others can't see the line and some love nothing more than stepping over the line.

Unless it's posted on these forums, in game or on the PnW IRC channel, there isn't a great deal Admin can do. If the 'ad' been sent to print in either of those formats I assume Sheepy would have took appropriate action to restrict it. It's pie in the sky thinking to assume that the community is able to police itself. Internet communities are not known for their level headedness and maturity!

The first roll is always the hardest, after that they get easier to take.

I thought the Rose/DEIC treaty was just for an inital 30 days with the option of signing on for longer? DEIC seem to be more in the UPN sphere then Rose in my opinion.

Totally agree with you. But in my eyes, if you protect someone, you jump in regardless of the size of the attacker. Otherwise it's a bit pointless.
