Hello all. I just wanted to start a thread to point out the treachery and dishonor of the Dutch East India Company. I present the following charges for DEIC and the community of Orbis as a whole: 1) DEIC has repeatedly used any flimsy excuse it can to snake its way out of its obligations to defend its treaty partner, Seven Kingdoms. One example of DEIC's cowardice is the war where they declared on VE, and DEIC refused to defend them when other alliances attacked in retaliation. Okay, in that war SK brought it all on themselves, that's fair enough. However, there is also this most recent example. DEIC itself has actively plotted with SK's enemies to bring the war to SK for no reason and with no justification. 2) DEIC has, as a matter of fact, declared offensive wars against their own ally, SK. One of them could simply be explained as a mistake, but two? And what about the fact that the second one was actually declared by the leader of DEIC? See below: 3) Aside from DEIC's leadership directly attacking their own ally for no good reason, a DEIC has also attacked a member of Noir. We are a smaller alliance that currently has no involvement in this war. Yet, this attack happened, and we are currently having to deal with it despite having done nothing to harm DEIC in any way. It's clear at this point that DEIC as an alliance has no honor and no balls. They are opportunistic, sniveling, cowardly children. They attack their own allies and uninvolved third parties when they think they can get away with it, but shirk from their responsibility to defend their allies when they feel that they must to protect their own pixels. Shame on you, DEIC.

With the amount of buttkissing Cynic does, I am not sure if he'll ever really run out at all to be honest.

I liked the color bonus as a neat little feature that acts as an incentive to keep the same color as your alliance color, but I'm not fond of this idea of an "earned" color bonus. I think it really goes against everything that the game has been since the start, and doesn't actually accomplish anything. Treasures have been mostly pointless all along.

Right now half the colors have a 0% color bonus. Wouldn't it be wise to tweak your formulas or whatever a bit so that this isn't the case? I get what you were trying to do, but I don't think this is the right way to go about it. Instead of killing everybody's income for no real reason at all, why not just use the changes to incentivize whatever you were trying to get people to do? By the way, I am not convinced that this change is going to make war any more frequent tbh. It sounds great for something like the test server where there is little organized alliance activity, but in this server people aren't going to put their entire alliance at risk over an income boost. It just won't work the way you want it to, I'm sorry to say. Anyway, if you hate the change, then whine away.

Word on the street is that UPN is looking to start a fight themselves, so this treaty is probably more about aggressive war than defense.

The only reputation I know of for odd squad is a reputation for shitposting announcements/drama a couple times a week anyway. No big change imo.

You act like it isn't well known that VE was able to benefit to the tune of hundreds of millions of dongs thanks to a known cheater/hacker and got away with it.
