It's very hard to be voted Ruler of Europe. I have like 90% of Europe now and i still can't win haha. The Trade victory is too easy. Then again the game is like 15 years old.

Can we get a Total War Subforum under Strategy Games?

So i've been heavily involved in OBL since day one. I've dropped a lot of money into making an OBL team for a long time. However the ROI is infinitesimal. It's very discouraging, and now with my original level 100 players retiring, I’m not making the same mistake twice. My numbers are a little skewed because of bets, but overall i've sank around 40mil into my team’s players/stadium upgrades. I've made some money in the tournaments and by side betting but overall from playing hundreds of games i have only just recently broke 1 million dollars from my OBL team. I think that's pretty poor in both time and money. You can shave off 15 mil from each of these numbers because of side betting, but as seen below this is my total of investment and my money earned. I didn't expect to make a ton of money, and i'm sure it wasn't the point either, however with the rate that the players age/retire and the cost to bring their replacement up to 100, you have no hope of ever making that investment back, even if you are playing 100 games a day. When a higher level team plays a lower level team the winners earnings are almost nothing (200 to 3k depending on opposing teams scores) I think we should cap it at 50 score. Players under 50 play each other for smaller earnings, but players over 50 should get winnings of 100k. When you're dropping millions of dollars into your players, 100k isn't that much in the long run, with players retiring and all. To make things a little more interesting, I think if your team score is over 50, the winner’s earnings should come directly from the losing nation’s funds. If the losing nation can’t cover the funds, AND is the home team, then the winning team gets 50% of the concessions (If the losing team is away then they get nothing). It just seems people aren’t willing to bet on games, and people are only willing to do tournaments when Sheepy does them. I think by raising the winners earning when teams over 50 score play each other will help boost the numbers and maybe people will play more. Maybe we can charge more than 1.50 a ticket at max cap. I wouldn't mind a levl 100 team having a ticket price of 4.00 or 5.00 a ticket. That would give people more incentive to have a better team. Really open to any suggestion that improves the overall participation in OBL, other than just creating a team.
