  4. I think this is unavoidable. The whole idea of looting the alliance bank is problematic in my opinion. There will always be ways to hide stuff before defeat. Let people extract resources on the peace negotiation table instead.
  5. Implementing this would mean people would aim for even higher infra numbers than what they have currently. As a result, the score dispersion between players will grow wider. The more dispersed the player base is, the lower the number of players to have an interaction with. I see no reason to implement this. There is already a project that reduces infra costs. If you rebuild a lot, just buy that project.
  6. If this changes per page reload, you can reload several times to get a consistent estimate of the actual number. If this changes per player, several players can gather their info and get a consistent estimate. This could actually be nice.
  7. I'm trying to think whether this update would make ships, missiles and nukes better or worse. In the past, rich/large nations could protect their ships, missiles and nukes with humongous amounts of spies unilaterally. Now they cannot. In the past, rich/large nations could easily destroy ships, missiles and nukes of their opponents with humongous amounts of spies unilaterally. Now they cannot. So we "leveled the playing field" for ship, missile and nuke destruction/protection in favor of small nations, I guess. Being a midsize nation, I won't complain, but being rich/large just became less valuable.

  9. I meant the actual formulas, so that I could make complete war simulations in Matlab or Fortran (two nations are simulated with several battles as they get more action points, using preset strategies). Thanks!
  10. Is there any chance we can get the exact formulas for war? Winning probabilities, infra damage, kills, etc. I would like to code up some simulations, and I would greatly appreciate exact formulas.
  11. eRepublik had an advertisement module once. Ads were displayed on a separate sidebar to the right. You would see 3 ads, each with a picture and some small amount of text. I thought that was very tolerable, and didn't change the location of anything on the screen. Maybe you can do that? It would be less intrusive, and people can see up to 3 ads at the same time.   12. As an atheist, I oppose Christianity. But as an atheist, I also know the social value of tolerance. So I will tolerate Christians' right to exist because it is the courteous thing to do.

  15. In the past, I could 1. Look at Aluminum/Sold/Ascending 2. Click Create New Offer 3. Post an offer (to sell aluminum) 4, Then click Go Back, which would take me back to Aluminum /Sold/Ascending This way I could see my offer among others, cancel it if I wish, and see whether others have posted a lower offer in the meanwhile. Now I cannot do this. Go back takes me back to Create New Offer Screen. My trades take me back to my trades. Why is this bad? I cannot see the offer I posted among other offers. If I mixed up amount and price, I could have immediately seen it in the past and cancelled the trade. Now I cannot. Please bring back the old functionality of the Back link, or add a new link to go to the exact market you posted your last offer.

  17. Reducing expected value of damage either through lowering the probability of a hit, or lowering the damage of a hit would be fine by me. I went by lowering the probability, because it meshes well with the current functionality of the Iron Dome, and is more realistic fluff-wise (having conquered your enemy on various fronts, you would have an easier time intercepting ballistic missiles; however if you fail to intercept, it still hurts the same).
  18. Allow conventional forces to prevent or mess with the launching of missiles. For instance air-superiority or ground-superiority making missiles inoperable or more prone to failure. Say x% each. Then if you crushed your opponent on the air and the ground, depending on whether you want the bonuses to be added multiplicatively or additively, the missile hit chance would be: Additive = 100% - (x% * has_ground_superiority) - (x% * has_air_superiority) - (50% * has_iron_dome) Multiplicative = 100% * (1- (x% * has_ground_superiority)) * (1 - (x%*has_air_superiority)) * (1-(50% * has_iron_dome)) where has_ground_superiority, has_air_superiority, and has_iron_dome are boolean variables that take value 1 if true and 0 otherwise.
