  1. Wow I never thought we'd hear from you again, we all miss ya man
  2. Reading this was the single biggest waste of time I've spent in game and I've listened to Kastor's radio show
  3. People slowly stop buying credits because no one uses them for money. The only money made on it is through the sellers. The demand for credits came with the need for customization, which the alliance establishment credit would've compensated for I'm sure. No demand had ever been their relative value except for now. And this is why it's more scummy than it's ever been before. Because if I don't buy, I am actually falling wayyy behind the entire game that buys, essentially I just wasted a month of collecting when I could've just bought it.
  4. "slightly above" I love how you work with things. You know what else is temporary? This game. Every time you raise the pay to play aspects the game life weakens.
  5. Well this is bullshit "Stimulus February"? More like "Tickle my wallet's balls - February" 100 million. You have lost your mind Alex. I've spent too much time dedicated to writing out pointless posts that you clearly ignore about the dangers of increasing the cap on credits. You got a problem with money? Cool tell us, dont pull this shit and mess with the game. I was mad with the ability to make 40 mil by selling credits, this I'm just pissed about. You yourself acknowledged that making more than 50 mil a month on credits is game breaking Gtfo with this nonsense. And bullshit it'll stop people from moving banks. You got to pay 10mil to buy a single credit to start a new alliance to store 500mil. Hm oh shucks guys, I guess he's got us there.
  6. The main concept behind this game is politics, the game in entirety is nothing without dialogue that exists on another plane separate from the mechanics. This game, so to speak, is literally all that you make of it. If you think the world is coming to an end because the game isn't conducting "proper" politics, following honor codes, treaties, and other promises then you really didn't play (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) or any other nation simulator game very often. (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) came to a steaming halt because it became BORING. Not because treaties were restrictive, not because people became shitty posters. The game got old and repetitive and people moved on with their lives. PnW is no different, the thing I respect most about Alex is he doesn't like to have things fixed for long. Anytime we get cemented in a way to fight or play it gets uprooted, for better or worse it changes and it's what makes the game interesting. Adapt to survive, always a new way to approach the game. OWF is and will always be cancer, people are unpredictable. It isn't politics, it's just people. 'Good poster' is an oxymoron. Get over yourselves, get back to the game, and have fun.
  7. Never seen a movie where adopting the child of the man you killed worked out well. inb4 "ur not my real dad" wars
  8. Until the post is only a Tl;dr, it will always need a tl;dr
  9. With Valyria's merger, the Order of Storms has found itself without a treaty or protectorate. I guess that makes us Paperless? So for the glory of the paperless sphere, OOS hereby declares war on BoC! Realizing the surmounting odds OOS has immediately engaged BoC in peace talks. We are grateful that they share the same quest for peace as ourselves. OOS hereby surrenders to the forces of BoC under the following terms: 1) OOS officially disbands Signed for OOS: Elder- Lord Frostsword Sentinel of Foreign Affairs - Lord of Puns Signed for BoC: tl;Dr OoS has been planning on disbanding for a while, and BoC gov goes to bed too early Thanks to everyone who assisted us for the shortwhile we were around. We wish BoC best of luck in its rebuilding process
  10. In the new update I believe you added how much the next infrastructure/land levels would cost. It's a useful tool but it appears to only calculate how much 1 infra or land costs instead of the 100/500 it appears to state. Infrastructure Cost (next 100) $9,726.48 Land Cost (next 500) $8,050.00 Now I could just be poor at reading and it was meant to only display 1 but either the wording is confusing or the calculator is only checking the cost for the next single unit.
  11. The lack of convoluted DoW's this season is quite dissapointing
  12. While alliances are usually the most meta one can get in this game, it would be interesting to see if we could give alliances different types to better allow them to roleplay or mandate order. One idea that was thrown around in the radio show today was to give alliances a choice to choose a type and regulate their order. While a term like "autocracy" wouldn't apply well to an alliance typically, it serves as a placeholder to help delegate certain powers to certain people. An autocracy has the choice for the leader of the alliance to implement "policies" which could range from a mandated embargo of a person or alliance that would force all members to embargo said entity, to changing all members' currencies... etc. Heirs and officers could theoretically have this choice as well, similar to giving heirs and officers access to the alliance bank or posting announcements). A democratic alliance could do the same, as the leader could place a vote to implement said policies at a similar rate. Naturally, this could create problems as embargoing could become an actual weapon if not controlled. To prevent that, a time limit could be put in place for the policies. As an autocratic leader, all my policies have a 5 day (60 turn) implementation period in which they may be canceled but the effects will not take place until the end of the period. As a democratic leader, the vote would last 4-5 days and have a 1-0 implementation day period. An alliance should also be able to pick a "custom" alliance type, which would merely mean the type would have no mechanical impact on them. I certainly would change aspects of the game and add a roleplaying element to it. The only issue I can forsee is if it applies to other strategic mechanics like war policy, which could give the alliance an artificial coordination in being able to control that many members. But it would also make embargoing less of a single faceted mechanic. This is just the foundations of something that could easily be taken to greater heights.
  13. The fact that BK lets you post is fascinating
  14. Don't know if this is a problem for any other browser than Chrome (tried edge, but edge is shit...) but if you take your tab our of your current browser and move it to a different browser browser, the page shrinks . Moving Tab: Result: I mean it reverts when the page is reloaded, and it's not really that much of a hassle to deal with. But it is still a resizing bug.
  15. ESA -> InGen -> ESD -> SetDev -> ??? Looking forward to your next Earth defense themed alliance
  16. Order of Storms announces that it will be activating Article 4 of its Protection agreements with Rose and UPN and hereby terminating them. In accordance with the clause, we gave each alliance 72 hour prior notice. We wish both alliances the best and are grateful for all the assistance and friendship they have given us. OOS wishes to maintain that this termination is in no way reflection of ill-will or any form of grievances between our governments or peoples. Signed: Elder - Lord Frostsword High Sentinel - Mr. Bigsby Sentinel of Foreign Affairs - Lord of Puns Paladin of Foreign Affairs - Mason Z Paladin of Internal Affairs - Lord Balian
  17. On his page it claims he's an applicant of an alliance that no longer exists. https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=47539 Just a bug, kinda strange that if you delete an alliance it doesn't remove the applicants.
  18. Except this isn't "micro involvement" it's, "hey how can I into relevant?"
