[Disband & Goodbye] When Time Is Gone
Jacob Knox replied to JackRackham429's topic in Alliance Affairs
You will be missed. I remember when we first met and CHB gave my stupid micro a chance by extending a prot. I may not have been as close to you as others, but being around for some of the stupid fun was enough to bring a smile to my face even when I was feeling down. Frankly, I don't know what else to say... so goodbye and good luck in life. -
Congratulations on 8 years, Minesome, but don't scare me into thinking you're quitting again. I might genuinely cry. I would also joke about not being thanked, but we haven't really interacted much or anything so it doesn't surprise me lol.

I would say your flaw is thinking Orbis started at Year 0. Some of the older nations have an achievement titled "Singularity," celebrating when the game date and real life date met on June 25th, 2017. If you do the math, you'll see that 1 turn = 1 Orbis day. I don't know definitively what year/date Orbis' calendar started on, but I hope this provides some answers/help.
-
As far as I know, 1 turn in-game (2 hours in real life) is equivalent to 1 day on Orbis.

Please, God, don't. It's a waste of time and money since infrastructure can be destroyed. If you absolutely have to go for 20k of anything, do land. It cannot be destroyed and is cheaper.
-
For reference, the cost to go from my infra level, 2.5k, to 20k without projects or policies is $25,250,875,184.00 (or approximately $25 billion). Even with all of the relevant projects and urbanization domestic policy, the cost is around $21,079,746,239.50. So, again, nobody in their right mind would get anywhere near that.
-
Obligatory down vote, because I enjoy pineapple on pizza.
-
As is, 20k is a ridiculous cap. Nobody in their right mind would ever try to get close to that.
-
Thank the Heavens this isn't just another "revert city score to the way it was" post but rather one that offers a novel (at least as far as I know?) idea for addressing the problem. Whether or not I fully agree with it is something I need to think about.

Change to a project: Resource Production Center
Jacob Knox replied to Prefontaine's topic in Game Discussion
I find the arguments in favor of a 3-day cutoff persuasive, so I agree. 1-day seems far too strict, and I would be hypocritical to agree with that when sometimes I'm so busy that I neglect to login for a day or two. However, 5+ days seems a bit too lax to consider "active." I think 3-5 days is around the sweet spot. -
What impact do technologies have on the war?
Jacob Knox replied to Jackie Lopez's topic in General Debate
Just to clarify: this is a Forum for an online nation simulator game called Politics and War, not really a general forum for discussing the topics of politics and war. While discussions on the topics are still welcome (for the most part), you should only really be on these Forums if you have an account in Politics and War. -
Great post. 10/10 Smol brain @ToxicPepper thought he could stop Nukemas smh.

[DoW] So Long As A Single Plant Still Grows
Jacob Knox replied to r3dj4ck0424's topic in Alliance Affairs
We must all do our part. I shall withdraw my $600m holdings and use it to buy about 4m food. But not really, because that would be an unfathomably stupid thing to do just for the meme. Then again... I am unfathomably stupid and all for "doing it for the meme"... hm... -
Are you clicking the "Save Changes" button all the way at the bottom when you're done?
-
I would assume that's because they use simple HTML form number validation and e is technically a number (though you can't use other constants). I've noticed this while making websites of my own.

You know what... I agree -
Hello, and welcome to Orbis!

Great War 26 is too generic, we need to change it.
Jacob Knox replied to Hes_A_Dictator's topic in Alliance Affairs
I want to cry I think he's just confused by the fact that everyone is referring to it as GW 26 (even the wiki: https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/Great_War_26), because the name is to be determined.
