Greetings Orbis. I'm aware there's a global war going on, but here it goes.

Pokimans is almost 1 and a half years-old, yet this is our 1st alliance announcement, mostly due to 2 reasons: 1) I honestly couldn't be bothered; 2) even though we had been a top 35 alliance for quite a few months, we were effectively still a micro, and I'm the 1st one to admit there's lots of micro garbage on the forums. We're even more of a micro now, but recent events obviously call for an OWF post.

Pokimans has had several nations / multis deleted. Of course the rest of us weren't aware of this. Hell, I've invested a fortune (in-game money) into this alliance, and I know what happens to multis. So you can imagine it's less than ideal that a bunch of our money has been spent building up these nations, just to see it go down the drain. Especially taking into consideration we've never taken a single cent from any other alliance, it all came from us directly.

I'm well aware most of you see us as a meme alliance, laughing stock, whatever you wanna call it... I don't mind it, and actually find it amusing. You'd have to be pretty naive not to realize beforehand that our theme lends itself to parody, particularly in a place full of gigachad wannabes in denial, trying to convince themselves they're not nerds like the rest of us, despite the fact that they play this game. The reality is that we at Pokimans have been trying to actually run a proper alliance. Shoutout to my head of econ Arch, who's a lot of things, such as a work horse, a warmonger and an econ genius.

Losing so many members naturally sets us back several months, if not a whole year. However, it is in difficult times that one shows their true colors. You might remember a very similar situation with an alliance called Alpha. Difference is, unlike their leader (rest in piss), I'm not a quitter. This is a passion project of mine, and if the alliance goes belly up, so be it. But we're not gonna go down without a fight. We'll try our hardest to pick ourselves up from this significant setback, as Orbis needs new alliances to stick around, otherwise it's always the same old boring landscape.

I was made aware of this whole situation weeks ago, and apparently so did the multi owner, taking into consideration several nations started going inactive, namely a bunch that used to handle raids / counters for us. I wish this had been dealt with more swiftly, as the alliance was left in turmoil, which basically neutered any chance of us helping Rose and Ob in the current global (not that it'd have made any difference, plus we're gonna get rolled eventually anyway).

Just a couple more things, so this wall of text doesn't get any bigger:

- I'd like to thank the alliances who've supported us in our journey so far. Special thanks to t$, who were by far the most important alliance during our 1st year, and to Oblivion, even though @Ockey5 is a skrub who would rather have me back so he could farm me for taxes, as he's only had over 5 and a half years to do so. And last but not least, huge thanks to Rose, our newest ally.

- No, we're not merging into anybody, no need to ask. And no, we're not gonna rebrand. We're not flip-floppers, and the Pokemon theme is here to stay for as long as I'm at the helm.

To be fair the bad rep/parody comes from the fact that Pokimans offers big loot to raiders (from what I've heard). Though, addressing such a big scandal to the public was also quite important. Hoping to see you make a good alliance out of pokimans

Not really, we built them up ourselves and had just gotten them to city 21. Maybe you shouldn't talk about what you clearly don't know.

Seems like you should be the admin bud, coz even Alex took forever to figure it out. In fact, he's not even sure who the multi owner is and how they managed to do that shenanigans. I told him I might know who it is, but I don't have the means to find out for sure.

Just going to post some notes here. 

I reported them mid November. I believe Alex has been quite busy, so it took a while.

Of the 33 deleted multis, 20 were in Pokimans (half your alliance). With many being there since the founding. With a seeming lack of discord, but were active doing much of your countering. It might useful to other alliances if you were to share how you ended up coordinating counters with them, and interacting with for deposits/grants - so others can avoid a similar situation. 

I'll also mention, your high gov member, who shared networks with the multis, you just set to member, but did not remove: Multi-Buster Tool | Politics & War (note the deleted nation ids)

Do you think they had anything to do with it? Or was there another reason for the demotion?

I'd get it if a 5 or 6 nation multi slipped people's attention this long, but twenty (33)? Discovery risk goes up exponentially the more multis there are. Either the person was really good at hiding and microing each one at different times (unlikely) or someone didn't do their due dilligence either because of incompetence or their own profit.

In any case, non-discord alliances will keep getting more bad rep because it's way easier to hide shady business in them. When is Antarctica getting Thanos snapped?

Sorry, almost forgot to reply to this.

Yeah, the demotion was because I suspected it was him. He was our head of milcon and, if I'm not mistaken, our milcom 2IC was also his multi - at least I suspected that was the case, and demoted him too. That was one of the very active nations that went inactive and we ended up kicking that nation to applicant.

I was informed weeks ago that we were being investigated for suspected multis, yes. Just couldn't do anything about it, other than try to figure out who was behind the multis. Which is why I wish this issue had been dealt with more swiftly.
