Longstrip
When is ORBIS predicted to enter the nuclear age. By "nuclear age" I mean when the first nuclear weapon is created.
Niklaus
When is Orbis predicted to enter Nuclear age? When some rich nation gets the very first Nuclear Research Facility in game. Personally I think this would happen in about 2 months (or around 1 and half month) time after this war ends but it's just pure guessing. First nuke holder would probably be Phiney or Placentica. Dark Specter
ya nukes do 800 infra damage and instantly beiges the enemy. The nuke project costs 50 million, 5k steel and 7,500 gas. So a project that costs that much that only does 800 infra damage and instantly beiges the enemy isnt worth getting. Dark Specter
Thats true but the amount of damage you do wont make up for both the projects and individual nukes cost. Grillick
Frankly, given their mechanics at present, there's a good chance we'll be the first ones with nukes. Quote "It's hard to be a team player when you're omnipotent." - Q
WISD0MTREE
Which is a bad thing for the aggressor as you can do more damage using many missiles. Basically this. Maybe on the last day if you have both missiles and nukes, you could launch one. But beige is still a problem. I saw in another post that they send a nation to beige with 1 hit Yes, which is bad. Beige gives the enemy time to rebuild. Frankly, given their mechanics at present, there's a good chance we'll be the first ones with nukes. Georgi Stomana
I wonder if Orbis will develop any diplomatic agreements where nukes are not used in war unless one side uses them first, I know (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways) had something similar before nukes become completely commonplace. Greene
Oddly enough, I wouldn't put it past GPA to create the first nuclear weapon, purely as a deterrent, of course... the nuclear neutral menace would never actually use it, right? When you think about it, nukes in PW seem to be a decent "neutral" weapon. Quickly beige your enemy to get back to peace plus damage the attacker to deter him from doing it again. I imagine those in alliance-wide wars would prefer to drag it on. Administrators Alex Posted December 17, 2014 Administrators Share Posted December 17, 2014 Nuclear weapons can do anywhere from 1000-2000 damage (also possibly more or less depending on population density and infrastructure level) and do automatically beige your opponent, but they don't end your war with them. Just thought I'd clear up some confusion. They're very powerful weapons, but until you guys have cities with like 3K Infra they probably won't be cost-effective. 1 Quote Is there a bug?
