I proclaimed that we were here to stay, and I meant it with every word. Today, as we celebrate the anniversary of our grand inception, we stand even stronger and more resolute than ever before. We have forged throughout our time in Orbis -- unbreakable bonds of camaraderie, with people and alliances as a whole, which I believe these friendships will stand the test of time. In the face of aversities, we have not only endured, but have thrived at every step of the way regardless of the circumstances. We have emerged victorious from not one, but two global conflicts - Darkest Hour and Dodge This respectively. Against all odds as a micro, we have shown our mettle, punching far above our weight and leaving a significant mark on our adversaries where needed. Our brick wall foundation, composed of steadfast members mostly ranging from C16s to C21s, continues to grow and solidify. It's safe to say there are very few within Orbis who remain unaware of our presence. One year ago, I proclaimed the existence of The Forgotten Realms, and now I have the honor to proudly declare our firm establishment. In a world where the odds are stacked against micros, we have defied expectations and persevered. We are not just here; we are here to stay. From the outset, we forged a protectorate treaty with The Knights Radiant, and I am thrilled to announce a new treaty, one that reaffirms our worth and capabilities as an alliance. The remarkable individuals within The Knights Radiant have been our guiding lights, extending their wisdom and support whenever and wherever we needed it most. They demonstrated unwavering patience during times when even I doubted whether The Forgotten Realms would endure. They never stopped believing us, and for that, I am eternally grateful. To The Knights Radiant, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Your unwavering faith in us, even during our lowest moments, is something I can never adequately express in words alone. Your grace, mercy, and exceptional protection, even when it wasn't required, has left an indelible mark on The Forgotten Realms. Signed, Elros Tar-Minyatur, the Half-Elven High King of the Realms Elven Knights Accords Preamble In the mystical realms where legends and lore intertwine, The Forgotten Realms and The Knights Radiant, known hereafter as “the signatories,” embark on an extraordinary journey to unite their fates and safeguard their cherished realms. They invoke the ancient tales and the mythical heroes of their worlds to bind their destinies together. Article I - Sovereignty As decreed by their noble rulers, the signatories pledge unwavering allegiance to each other’s sovereignty, ensuring that their realms remain untouched by the shadows of deceit. The noble champions of their lands shall be called upon to protect their realms from malevolent forces. Article II - Knowledge Exchange Drawing from the boundless wisdom of their histories, the signatories commit to sharing their knowledge, sacred scrolls, and the wisdom of their elders for the betterment of both realms, radiant and forgotten. This exchange of knowledge shall be conducted with utmost integrity, ensuring the truth and purity of their shared wisdom. Article III - Non-Aggression Embracing the ethos of their legends, the Signatories pledge never to draw their blades against each other. Instead, they shall embark on quests of great valor and uphold the sacred pacts that honor their heroes and oaths. Article IV - Non-Chaining Mutual Defense United by the epic tales of their realms, the signatories swear to defend each other’s lands against any external threat, much as the legendary heroes of their history once stood together against ancient evils. However, this Article of this Accord may be temporarily suspended if a signatory comes under attack due to unbreakable obligations towards an external party. Article V - Unbinding ritual In accordance with their shared customs, should the signatories ever wish to part ways, a 72-hour notice of intent to unbind must be provided to the other signatory. The signatories shall undertake a quest within a timespan of 72 hours, retracing the footsteps of their heroes. Upon successful completion of this quest, the Elven Knights accord shall be recognized as null, and the signatories may venture forth on separate paths.
