Since the debate section is dead or completely filled with trolls then we will fill it with a debate tourney that is keen to give the forums a boost as well as the audience a great show of opposing view points. Debates will follow a similar form that of my "Resolved: God most likey exists," debate against dimij (seen here https://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10517-resolved-god-most-likely-exists/).The debate tourney shall hold (hopefully) 8 willing debaters, or more, to face off over any resolution that they so chose. Examples of a resolution are "Resolved: The United States Federal Government should increase funding for NASA," "Resolved: On balance, homeschooling is preferable to public schooling" or even "Resolved: Viruses should be considered a living organism." These are just examples and users are able to select other topics. ** The Debate format should follow the bellow model. The Thread (debate) is created by Pro, the user who is affirming the resolution. Con, the user in negation of the resolution accepts the debate. Both users post their Opening arguments, no rebuttals. Rebuttals. Rebuttals and conclusions. No new arguments. A few selected members who sign-up to judge will then judge the debate voting on who they thought won the debate.The Winner shall move on to the next round as this tourney shall be a single elimination tournament.
