As someone with 45 cities, you should just stop buying cities now. its much more important to have giant stockpiles of cash than investing it in your growth. Why you ask? because growing a nation is for suckers.

Realistically, wars are determined before the first declaration is ever made. Unless people are going for a challenge, of which very few alliances do.

Yes all of you little nations should not build past 20 cities. EVER. In a more serious note, you talk about ROI, but what you dont take into account is that there is no end date to this game, so as long as you keep playing you will always hit ROI. Also military strength is important because you take less damage in a winning war than a losing one, and since this is a game, winning is generally more fun than losing (not always but most of the time) Looks like chad beat me to it, so basically what he said. The other thing is what do you do now that you have hit 20 cities? What is left to do in the game? build a warchest? Build more land in your cities? ok so you are at 20 cities, and have 200k of all resources and 8k land in all your cities, what now, pay to build up other people to 20 cities? Ok cool, your entire alliance is now at 20 cities, in terms of politics people may want you, but realistically 20 cities is too small to really shift the balance of power, unless you have like 100-200 of you. 5 years ago this would be a really solid plan, but today you are just setting yourself up for failure, assuming you want to eat at the grownups table.

Whales and micros dont swim in the same body of water, so why change a whale mechanic that has 0 effect on little nations? that makes no sense.

Having no allies sets the game to Super Hard Mode, Until you get allies, you will always have a target on your back, because you are easy pickings.

Back in the glory days of alliance trades, they used to be separated, so if someone wanted to put a cheap trade out there, they could and poke the alliance and be like hey, I tossed up some cheap trades is someone needs something. Now that they are combined, people are looking for cheap trades and see some stuff a few 100 PPU lower and are like jackpot! buy them up, and then resell for profit. This really defeats the purpose of alliance trades in my humble opinion. This also causes issues especially if you share your alliance trades with your allies. I would request that we change it back so that alliance trades dont show up in the main trades menu.

That would be up to the winning side, if that term continues. They can do it however they want.

Sorry bud, despite just getting burned by not having a nap for the last war, it was your alliance leaders that wanted one, we actually stand by our word unless forced to do otherwise. Also nice to see that even after we lost a war, we have so much real estate inside of Eclipse's head they continue to try to talk shit. FYI Sphinx congrats on finally being able to win a war against Grumpy, all we had to do was leave you alone for 2-3 years, and then split off into a bloc of about 100 total members for you to be able to pull it off. Most people when you learn to ride a bike, you take the training wheels off, for you friend, I was happy to put them back on for you. Nice to see you exercising extreme caution putting on the knee and elbow pads too with that 3 month NAP, got your helmet too, by allying the two largest alliances in the game. I was gonna stop with the training wheels, but damn that analogy just kept writing itself.
