  1. Zeebrus has full access to the forums. Seems there is some freedom within her religion.
  2. Very good question @Ukunaka Within clubs, the creator change members of that club to be moderators or leaders. The difference in these is as follows. Leaders - A leader can moderate content and manage members in the club, including making other members leaders. The creator of the club initially, is a leader Moderators - A moderator can moderate content only. They cannot make any structural changes to the group, nor make any other members leader or moderator. You can change a member to a leader or moderator, from the members tab within any club, as shown in the image below.
  3. The last warn I see is from July 3rd for derailing a topic. With a maximum of 2 warn points showing up on the account with no forum posting restrictions. Obviously, acknowledging the warn must be done in order to progress and be able to have full access to the forum. Not quite sure why that wouldn't just be done.
  4. Thank you for the report, we'll check into it for you.
  5. Moving to spam. Speaking of a game that we should not speak of and not appropriate for this forum.
  6. @Thalmor has been banned from posting on forums for reporting my previous status update to wisd0mtree

  7. The post you downvoted was like an error - I'm horrible offended and this should be a crime to downvote a mod.

@Buorhann Thats rude and offensive. I agree and I try to keep it clean and fair. My mindset is like, don't post the obvious bad sh** - its not that hard. Some stuff, I don't really get a chance to stick up for people or provide my meme experience to a report. I think the community should be a nice balance of free reign with some restriction. its obviously a community, some people do run wayy passed the line. Just gotta keep it semi-clean for the kids, ya know? Thats my mindset which I try to instill onto the mod team.

While I agree with that overall sentiment, I just hope that it's equally attributed to the community as a whole.  Not just one or two individuals who trigger a clique group of players.

@Buorhann To be honest with you, as long as its not blatantly 'bad' I definitely don't give a shit about it. I'm the last mod that tries to report anything offensive, because I simply do not find anything offensive. If you happen to cross the line, you'll see my happy furry little face in your inbox. I do have to comment though, after our last large batch of...offended reports, we have been pretty smooth sailing. Seems the community has grown up a little. The only report I've seen this week has been from Thalmor jokingly reporting a comment above. Where I banned him from posting on the forums (jokes) - I say, if you have an issue with something, shoot me a message. I love helping the community out and being here for people that need the helping. Gotta run tho. Thanks for the chat. :D

  8. My time here on these forums, there is always this giant up and down of activity and inactivity mixed in with another line of we should add more rules and we should remove more rules. A lot of the time here, because this is a largely public venue, you'll end up with quality posters and then very very low quality posters. When you mix those together, you end up with the feeling that you're putting in 'all this work' and you're really not getting any recognition or any participation from other leaders in the RP world. So, it really comes down to is it really worth your time developing such in-depth stories and narratives for your nation/characters? In my opinion, as someone who has moderated this forum and added the organic RP a while back because of issues in Nat RP, and someone who enjoys a great collaborative RP between people, there needs to be an obvious change. You can tell people to be more creative, provide deeper posts, etc...till you're blue in the face. Fact is, it really isn't going to change anything. I think the answer here is to create an exclusive group, private from the public, but allows visibility of the rules/forum. I believe there needs to be a bit more quality enforcement from members which is overseen by a moderator/moderators who can ensure that whatever system (maybe up/downvotes) isn't abused. Allow those people who want to post sentences to remain in some public area, but create a system that is private and exclusive for those of you who want something a bit more substance filled. IDK just a thought. I love RP and hate seeing the continuous downward spiral.
  9. Hope all y'all Americans had a great 4th!

Most definitely right on the Frank Castle - hella no on the Jroc. But he is a cool dude. Thats all the time we have for on tonights episode of WHO IS HONEY MONSTER!? better luck next time friend.

  10. I'm assuming you're either switching from different devices or your cache/cookies are cleaned out after each browser exit. I don't set my browser settings to clear history/cache/cookies unless I manually do it, so if I say no - it doesn't ever send that again.
  11. Yeah, I know you all hate this. First public warning to keep things civil - I see a lot of flaming/baiting and personal OOC attacks. Before we start handing out warns like Oprah hands out cars, lets just get back to reality here and understand there are some set rules in this community. Argue on discord where we can't get you or make secret clubs to pursue your arguments. Lets not push this to a 2nd public warning, I hate closing threads. Thank you.
  12. You said yourself that you took his login information to "bump him along" and "if needed borrow some resources" - which shows you were logging into his account to support your account. Which, by all logic, means that you were logging into 2 nations, on your own, on the same network, which led to a ban. Clearly a rule break.
  13. Use the block function to refrain from further message abuse. Sorry @Sir Scarfalot - use the block button & Alex will be along shortly to review this a bit closer.
  14. @Leo X "and I wrote down his login information to bump him along and if needed, borrow some of his resources" This line right here would indicate that you were in fact logging into 2 separate accounts as one person - which is why you have been banned forever. This is regardless of the fact, if true, that the nation in question is not controlled by a friend. I am not a moderator of the game, but because our game admin is pretty busy, I'm putting this here to help you along. Alex will be able to determine actual judgement on this when he comes around.
  15. Clubs are live! Just click the club tab up top or on the sidebar and you're set to making your own club OR joining an existing one. here are some basic rules as promised. Inappropriate Imagery Porn/Nudes/Shock Images - common sense. If you're mom didn't want you looking at it as a kid, it shouldn't be here. Terrorism Groups If you support terrorists of any type, from any year/time, you're going to have a bad time. Don't do it. Nazi Groups Groups that represent nazis and support nazis will not be allowed. Feel free to talk about them in discussion, but we aren't about to make a new reich here on the PW forums. Hate Speech! There is a think line here, most opinions today are considered 'hate speech' - discussion is a discussion, but blatantly hating on a person or a group is gonna be against the rules. Best thing to do, make a closed club and select your audience. Common Sense If you're creating a club, you are auto-agreeing to the common sense rule. Keep it chill, don't do anything that would normally be considered wrong in the public or in front of jesus/santa/or whatever you consider to be held to high standards. Have Fun With it This is a new thing for the community, have fun and make it creative.
  16. The idea for clubs are for members to kinda build their own audience and discuss what they want with the people that also like that specific topic. So, here are some more 'relaxed' rules for you all: (note, these rules are only for clubs) Inappropriate Imagery Porn/Nudes/Shock Images - common sense. 17. Hey y'all - I made a Test Club for y'all to check out. Go to it, its joinable and just mess around with some stuff. If you want some admin to see what its like, just give me a shout. I think it could be a good idea for niche groups, I'd personally join the gun group. Additionally, we can edit 'fields' that are required or not-required (but present) upon creating an alliance. You can see this field display in the header of the club. If you have ideas of what these fields should be, also - give me a shout. I'm moving forward with this as I think its a good idea and allows a bit more freedom for members while protecting the individuals that well... you know.
  18. I am currently talking with the other mods on rules for these clubs. I have proposed a generalized rule list that is your common sense - no terrorism, pornography, nudes, - kinda like that common sense stuff that people shouldn't engage in. I believe the club admin should be able to make their own ruleset for their club. I will update y'all.
  19. I wouldn't personally see an issue with private/closed - as the idea would be to build depth within the community. I'm not sure exactly how it would work, but personally I would like it if say someone requested a club - then we could just open it up for you and allow you to manage it - I believe it allows you to just work within your own bubble per se. I am personally not against watering down rules for clubs - I see it as a great way to allow members to portray themselves without being attacked by those that might not agree with them 100% - obviously, lets not go starting hate groups and terror cells, but you get what I mean. If I make a far right group I'd expect to maintain those right beliefs without being talked to or having my ideas misconstrued - simply because those in my club will obviously be within the same realm. I could go on and on - my personal feeling on mods going into those clubs would be just general upkeep and for more serious notes like pornography, terrorist related stuff, and OBVIOUS inappropriate behavior. I personally like the idea of clubs because I believe the forums should have that clean - 'this is a family restaurant please don't get wasted and hit on the moms/try to recruit people to the 8th reich' - feel to them. This allows people to kinda chill in their own bubble within their own crowd. With controlled access, I don't see why rules could be relaxed.
  20. Community, We have been looking over a new feature and were curious about getting some input from y'all - this new feature is Clubs! Clubs basically allow you to create a little sub community of people that might share the same interests as you from within the forums. There can be an admin group within the club, private, closed, public - all that fun stuff. You can read some more details about it here on the IPS website, which shows some screenshots and explains how they can be used. We had some ideas for clubs, one of which being a club that is public for new nations/members to be paired up with experienced players and receive some tips and guidance without necessarily being on the alliance track. However, we thought it would be best to bring this to the community and see what y'all thought. So, what would you use a club for? What types of clubs do you think we should open up? or Are clubs necessary? Would anyone actually utilize the feature?
  21. Thank you for your report - I'd say Alex will be around soon, but that nation no longer exists.
  22. The work is great, good work, keep up the work good work, great work!
  23. @Sketchy Thanks for bringing that up - maybe the use of 'we believed' is in the wrong context here. The course of action was, review the report, review the post, determine it was against the rules and provide the justification. That justification, at the time, was that this was a violation. After this was determined, I issued the warn points this did cause a 48 hour no-posting ban on the forums for Shifty and right after I received a DM from shifty where we did discuss the points, discussed the satire, discussed the joke. Within that conversation I explained our process - at that time we agreed to keep the warn and we would discuss this publicly so that it would be transparent. Here we are. After discussing this issue with the moderation team we have decided to revoke the warn and the points given to Shifty. On behalf of the moderation team, I apologize for the confusion Shifty. In the future, we will reach out to what might confuse us or make us believe something is incorrect or wrong. We are humans and we make mistakes. Thanks y'all.
  24. OP & Everyone, One of the biggest things we have trouble dealing with as moderators is, is this wrong, is this a joke, or is this right? Clearly, within our rules it states that someone can talk about nazi stuff as long as they are not promoting it. Unfortunately, we believed that you were representing yourself as a nazi in a way that didn't prove to be satire. We aren't not always inside the 'joke' when it comes to reading threads and we don't always know what exactly happens outside of the PW forums that gets brought into our house - in that case there is a little bit of a wall of knowledge so to speak. In this instance, I believe we made a correct decision based on our knowledge, therefore a just warn. - but if you were to bring that up to us post-warn we could have removed those warns for the satire that you have proved it to be. Points are still there, but we can discuss a removal of points if that tickles your fancy. Racism, Sexism, and other topics have been pretty heated as of late. Most likely due to society changes across the world and as such we try to keep up with those changes and learn where exactly to draw the line. I just recently posted to moderators and alex about the line and where to draw it, its tough - but we do try and do our best with reports sent into us. Before you jump on the moderation team, just be aware that we do attempt to look at situations in all angles and we try to reach out to the community when we have questions on a number of reports, to understand positions and why that was posted. If you have further questions, feel free to post here or shoot me a DM.
